tario did a good piece on it in his blog not long ago. the ryoma in particular stacked up incredibly well. this one i hit there is super terrific ,but its the price of an ocean liner.

gang.., i have a cpl of fws with these in them. havnt plalyed a course yet but at the range i didnt like the feel of them one littel bit. i will say the accuracy was pretty darn tootin. everything ended with a little fade.. i found i was trying to hit the ball harder to compensate for lack of distance . they have absolutely no feel compared to graphite. what the skiiny fellas? shud i pull them or play around with them first. the flight seemed pretty high, but i was happy with accuracy, just not long. no where enar as long

Yea!!!!!!!! Its moremuted, its supposed to be longer as well its a softer feel for sure. Its a seriously good looking head but the face scratches up on it. I thought the caddy dropped mine but nope it was fromclatter. I just black penned in the chicks and viola u can still notice it a bit but it makes no odds to the drivers performance. They cost a fair bit more for that finish but yes def a more muted sound.

just hang on to that 101 ip..., its one of the beauties. at 9.5* is prefect. just get a low launcher. the quadra suits this prefectly. i had the stiger in mine first and i think the quadra plays better in THIS head. in he 102 the stinger is ,well just ask skipercarey its.............., MONEY....! .
-
the 101 and the 102 are a perfect foil, there is definiatly a differnce inflight and stlye of play. the 102 is lower and better for straighter shots down the midde , on tight courses or on windy days i find this is the better head. the 101 is much better for swingers. its more compact, a bigger face and i i feel its better for kaboooooooooooooooooooooomimg. its more movebale , as for distance over all, well if u want more run than carry then the 102 is it it . u neeed more carry then its the 101. the quadra with ANY head is a winner winner chicken dinner! in the 101 tho i think its clsoe to the best set up.

the vspec d1 9.5* this one in piccy. idid a blurb on it a few weeks ago. i was gobsmakced with it. still pondering lifting it or not. i do love it especially off the toe hits just sailed out there long as anything. but for the faster swinger than i, the crazy i THINK is al ittle more stable. both are sensational. if i sell my epon 101 IP then ill ift this exact head. in its palce.
-
Ive hit the ryoma and the crazy the ryoma has a higher ball flightmore carry by a MILE but its mid flight not a sku ball shot. Its terrific if u want to carry long the crazy is lower and much more roll for the faster guy i think the crazy higher lofted is hard to beat truely.

yup , thats exactly what i found as well. not a bad little wedge at all , especially for tight lies. its a really good option. i like that idea about the lighter shaft for the 58 or 60 and the sp blue for the 52 , im going to do that for sure. in facti lll do it for the 56 and 60 i like to feel every nuance on those wedges. ill follow you in on that wv style as well .

ok this stuff i think is cheap chinese made steel , ( is that term correct?) ss standss for structural steel. its a soft carbon steel that is used in golf clubs and various other products. its quite maliable and makes sense to use in clubs. cant find any actual heads made of it. thats hwaht ive snooped out so far not sure of the equiv of jis . theres a reason i m asking this................., im snooping onto somehting that i smell a rart on. imHOPING to god im wrong but......,

Gents..., i need to get a retirement present for somone whos off to play golf for , well ever hopefully. hes 65 in good shape but not an athletic guy. THIS is what im thinking..............., i was at an indoor simulator driving range recently with some custies(. lord knows how much these things cost but id say a grillion buzzillion trillion goolge would be somwhere close to the mark.),they have moevable platforms for lies, a plethora of the latest and greatest equipment, play any course on the planet. shoes, gloves, all serviced by the most beautiful kawaii J-pop idols as hostesses in preopsterously short pink flowery skirts, pig tailed hair and gigantic mahoooosive dragon tattoos down their necks and backs, ................. , beer , sake ,sho-chu, chu hi , whiskey a plenty, fantastic food.here to say this simulator makes tiger woods golf on PS look like 'atari pong" club-wise , they dont have much at all in stiff flex bec the majority of the clientelle are prob the folk that get johhnie shacho nissan president cars to the diet bldg every day ,and decide the policy of this island. so S clubs arnt plentifull. luckily i found one, the XXIO 2010 driver. this driver had my attention . is probably the easiest simplest thing i think ive ever hit.! the shape is a hooooooooooooge rounded sleek elongated gigantic face , it didnt seem to matter where i hit it the ball on the face it felt good its light as a feather it had the stock mumbler shaft in it that felt as stiff as a stick of spagetti (after cooking!! ) and deliverd a shot ive been searching for with my drivers for a yr, allbeit a thousand time higher than id like but an arcing draw on every shot. . i am thinking of this as the present so he can enjoy his retirement and play golf with a really great driver. id thought about it but beore i jump in i need some real world advice from guys that play this style club regularly. of all the easy to hit , more relaxed style drivers ive hit ,i think this is close to the best . onoff red, srixon z star, yamaha d superlong, these spring to mind, im not sure if many guys have tried this, or if its popular , but if your not a 270 darn the pipes guy and just need to hit a nice driver this MUST be up there. no ? gents, does this sound about right..? anything esle i need to look at?

i just had a thought back to the other nights driver session. i have my black 101 with a 75s quadra and its a lot higher than the crazys and yamaha. i was hitting it considerably higher, its a more soaring flight with that head i found. skip u use x right , i havnt hit an x in quadra but the xs is DEF tighter than the s the 75s is prob a flex to soft for me. hence i was getting more lift compared to the yamaha and the crazies. the tighness is NEVER in question with quadra, but i found the S flex is def a higher shot, and def higher than the 102 and my others. another good one , is GD di 7 ,thats got a decent midish flight to it.

the main diffs are , the sound, that "ting" has gone replaced by a more "normal" swoosh. its more aerodynamic and i think its slightly higher launching a bit easier to get to land softly. the feel is a bit more muted, distance wise, im pretty sure the old one is longer . i think the new one is better of the fairway than the old one . easier to pick clean the old one DEF better from a tee. is it better over all? , hmmmmmm im not 100% convinced it is. i love it i MUST have one available at all times esp in japan! either one is good tho , it depends on what i need to do and which course. im gonig to actually go the new 17* route. for a more fairway wood shot rather than a spoon shot. the roy colls and my yamaha , i just hit too well form a tee. im palying a lot more 3 woods of tees these days. and i prefer the traditional shapes better.form a tee if i had to have just one egg and no rmore, id take the NEW 17* and play it with the crazy 80 fw. after hitting a million of them last yr. thats my optimal egg.
