  1. They do great work. Cost is about $85 to do a driver. Turn around time was quoted as 1 to 2 weeks
  2. No it is gloss black. I may send it off to continental golf to get flat black or maybe white.
  3. Today was the day. My Jbeam Labomba combo was finally ready to hit. First I am glad it is 10* This head is a low launcher for sure. My goal was to find a combo that would produce a nice draw. Mission accomplished. I hit about 100 balls on the range before I ran out of steam. I hit about 20 balls with the launch lab. The LLab definitely flies higher with much less roll. My best hit with the Adams was 15 to 20 yards behind my best Jbeam. When I hit the Jbeam solid it was no contest. Even on the range I can tell the Jbeam has more roll out. Again on solid hits the Jbeam is flat out longer. I lost no carry distance with the Jbeam but gained more roll. Now the biggest surprise to me was the sound and feel. I do not understand the bashing this head has received for either category. When hit well I think it feels good. The sound is solid and lively. From the first swing I liked everything about it. I was expecting to hate it. I went into today's session planning on a bad experience. WRONG! Home run! I still hit the launch lab well but I just can't give up the draw bias and extra roll. Here's another surprise, I can hit a fade as well. I hit several on command and it was a nice ball flight. Hang on with the right hand and boom! A nice high fade, not a big fade that could be out of bounds. I know we all have honey moon periods but I am still shocked that it was so one sided the first time out. I know this head has a lot of detractors but I am excited to see how this plays out.
  4. 3 hours until the show down Jbeam/labomba VS Adams Launch Lab. I will try to be patient with the Jbeam and give it plenty of time. I will tape the top line to be safe with this one.
  5. Mike that looks great. My Jbeam/labomba will get a test run today. I may have that color done by Continental golf if it becomes my gamer. I love the flat black. My LLab looks great in this color.

Oh what a smooth shaft. I wish this was available when I was shopping for my new Jbeam.
  7. it is the longest yard 02 in white. very cool looking shaft. I guess I got a great deal according to chiromikey who seems to know his stuff. I am no a smooth swinger. On the range i have a small radar that stays at 105 to 106 when i start to go after it. Not great but I think I can handle the 7.2 flex. This should be a nice combo. I hope this ends my driver search. If the launch lab was a draw biased club I would be set.
  8. Chiromikey has me stoked to get mine on the course. I must remember to give this head a chance. It took over a week before I got used to my Adams launch lab. Now if I wanted a high fade that is long, the L Lab is hard to beat. I favor a draw for max roll and distance so maybe the JDM hype will be true this time. This head has numerous threads about its legendary distance. I can handle a harsh feel and sound IF it delivers the goods. My build should be almost 46 inches. That's longer than I have gamed in years.
  9. Okay, that is good information. I almost got the tj46 but at 6.9 with an already closed face I wanted to avoid a hook machine. My grip is 3 nuckles strong anyway. Add to the fact that my launch lab is open at address. I just want a nice 5 to 10 yard draw to max out my distance, our course favors a draw anyway.

I got it. I have heard the 435 hype for years. I had to try it with the draw bias. I will keep my Adams Launch lab because when my swing is on it is a beast BUT get lazy and it is going way right.
  11. My SS is 102 to 108. Maxed out 108 which I don't normally achieve. What shaft to get max distance and best feel?? I know these heads are not known for great feel but I don't want a board like shaft that will launch too low and feel terrible. Thanks in advance.
  12. i want it. pm sent to you.

How about marking this sold on the title and locking the topic?
  14. Thanks for the Kiyoshi ! My tour issue Adams XTD ss1300 is officially a bomber. Hit it 250 plus carry into our range net today. I love the Kiyoshi shafts. Solid.

Okay what replaced it because I am loving my 9.5 black tie combo?

Mint condition with headcover. 8* loft. Tour issue head that feels great and is as long as everyone says. The only reason I am selling is I should have chose a 9.5. Maybe 20 balls hit at most. Awesome club. $300 shipped in us. Add $25 for overseas. This club is as advertised. I hope to get a 9.5 once this one is sold.

I play many rounds at my club for fun, no money. BUT the minute I rip one down the middle 325 yards I just know the guys will be researching my club. Still I would like to try this head. Looks great at address.

Stew you are the man on JDM equipment but this has been a confusing listing. I am not sure what is for sale at this point :-)

  21. Robb40 replied to Robb40's post in a topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
51 grams plus RBZ adaptor which is easily removed. I played 27 holes with this shaft today. Such a smooth feeling shaft. Kind of having second thoughts :-)

shaft only now available. great shaft that is simply too light for me. Such a shame because this shaft feels great.

Shaft is a killer crazy RD Proto 531. Flex feels like a stiff to me. Adaptor is a Taylormade made RBZ that can be removed easily. No tipping. Shaft is just under 44 inches with adaptor. Should be 43.5 without. Shaft is in mint shape. Such a killer shaft but I need a heavier shaft. My best results seem to be with a 68 or 70 gram shaft. my swing speed is not Tour level but I have had the best results with heavier shafts. $450 shipped anywhere with PPal gift. NO TRADES. I have a miyazaki black or a Fubuki K that will be my backup.

The jury is still out for me with the 531 in SX flex. It looks great and has a good feel to it but until i get a Tour issue RBZ head in it the jury is still out. I plan to have it go head to head with a Fuji K and a Miyazaki Black before making a final decision.
  25. wow with so many club try outs and tests How can anyone ever arrive at a choice that will make them happy?? Don't get me wrong Stew has been an awesome source of information. He has tried them and will shoot straight with you about his thoughts. I guess I am just ready to get off the club hoing for a while. it is fun but it has hurt my game this year. just too many driver and putter changes to settle in on a routine. no matter how far I hit a driver or how well a putter looks and performs, I always think there is a better club around the corner. OK personal rant over - great job Stew on sharing your info. It is a fun process for a while.
