  1. The Tourstage shafts used to look totally different than aftermarket shafts, while the shafts in Tourstage drivers that look aftermarket were always the real deal. Are you sure it came from a Tourstage driver?
  2. S usually better for shorter length drivers, 45.5 snd below, M for longer builds. At least that's what I seem to remember..?

    XV Driver..?

Srixon really makes some classy, moody looking clubs. I feel I could probably have a full bag of Srixon clubs
  5. Looks like custom face angle and lie is offered
  6. I'm glad you started this thread, reminded me about that old Vega head. Gonna dig it out and have a go with it again
  7. Vega did the aero thing, and still does with the Makser patents they bought and refined. Must have been 10 years ago. I have had 2 Vega drivers and really liked them, especially the original DAF. I remember my golf buddies with their USDM of the rack drivers having a chuckle when I showed them the DAF driver. Same guys that now are babbling about the aero dynamic designs of their current drivers..
  8. They also need a new name..A brand named (I guess) after one of Napoleons' Marshals and later king XIV if Sweden? Just a bit weird, I DON'T understand this fascination in Japan and also in China with all these Euro/Old World sounding names
  9. Might there be some hidden tech in the irons? Tungsten to move weight around or semi-hollow construction? Otherwise these look almost like blanks with the Epon logo smacked on.
  10. Eh, pretty minimalistic?
  11. As for what is JDM and what is USDM, it is (of course) to where the products are OFFICIALLY marketed and sold, hence the letter M that stands for MARKET and not for MADE like some people seem to think. So if a brand is available at some specialist importer in the US then that does not make it USDM. Where the stuff is made doesn't matter when it comes to deciding if a product is JDM or USDM. Srixon left the US market and is now purely JDM. Much more so than Fourteen for example, which is just a japanese brand that sells worldwide, same product, same lines, same specs. And then there are the main brands that have distinctive USDM and JDM lines, like TM, Callaway, Titleist.
  12. Like I said earlier, I think there will be a seperate, more premium Bridgestone JDM line. Just like most other brands offer. Why do most people here seem to think that this scenario is out of the question? I think it's very likely. As for the name, I don't have a problem with 'Bridgestone' at all
  13. I think there will be a JDM line of Bridgestone stuff, just like TM, Callaway, Titleist.
  14. It's also a bit extreme to expect TSG to have a review of every product they sell, isn't it? I'd like to know which online, or even physical shop, offers that?

The Mizuno 611 can stand up to any driver, I have it the same exact spec like the one in this add. It's very low spin and produces a powerful flat trajectory. A 10 degree head is better for almost anybody, I swing pretty hard and have used low lofted heads historically, and I never hit moonballs and get great roll out with a 10* 611
  16. The mizuno drivers, from the 611 to the 425+ to the 513 and the H4, all look very very good at adress. I game the 611. I also have TRPX, TS703 (VERY underrated btw) and T.388 drivers, but I keep coming back to the Mizuno, best feel and long, maybe the longest driver I've had. Even forgiving. Usually people mention feel and looks when it comes to Mizuno craft/jdm drivers but I rate my 611 as truly special for distance and at least as decent to good for forgivness.
  17. Maybe it's the name ha ha? Bald-o..Any balding guy would never dare to buy it because of all the stick he'd get from his golfing buddies. Seriously though, I always liked the look of the Baldo drivers. They look pro and sets up great, nice head shapes. As a side note, I never understood the fascination many asians seem to have with all these "old world" euro sounding names, like Baldo for example. I don't get it, many here in asia seem to think europe is some über-civilsed and sophisticated place. Last time I was enjoying a first class pastry and some really good (and cheap) sushi at Kyoto train station I giggled a bit when I remembered the central stations of Rome and Naples, where invariably somebody will either try to rob you or sell you drugs or both as soon as you get off the platform.
  18. Yeah, saw that too..Honma QC should be great regardless though. The feel might be better with the Endo VL face, yes
  19. The TW717 430 version, the Black one in 8.5 should be right up your alley? It should be lower spin than the 455 or 460. It looks fantastic in person, stealthy black, sets up square
  20. Not super common, but we have Callaway Legacy Black, Tourstage, TM Japan, Srixon Z for example. The US market is a bit weird when it comes to adjustability, you can read a review stating "distance, feel and general performance was great, too bad it's not adjustable" as if adjustability is a great thing in itself..?
  21. I almost bought the 58 plated on my last Japan trip. Forgot my Credit card in the hotel safe and didn't have enough cash on me! Found both shafted and head only

    Leadtape?

They are Tour Issue shafts first, then they have the fancy flame design added. I think that's it actually, they might be frequency sorted and spined or something too, but I don't think so.
  24. What's the head weight on the Gloire drivers? Always wondered
  25. Am I reading the sticker on the La Bomba shaft right? 6.9 freq out at 266...?
