  1. I like the look of the platinum, really do. But since I won't (can't) play that long a driver it's out of the question because of the ultra light head weight, fitting it to a shorter, stiffer shaft would probably make it feel like there is no club head at all?
  2. Now, after looking at the details in the pro shop there is "2014 MB Tungsten Core" written in large letters just at the beginning of the Japanese language info. So, what is it? Ti Or Tungsten?
  3. The new Yonex blades in the pro shop says "hybrid titanium" construction, but isn't it supposed to be "Tungsten hybrid construction"? Putting Ti in the sole of the head would hardly move the weight lower, quite the opposite I guess?
  4. To me, Kasco is like one of the original Ute brands.

Those look nice, and it's a quality forging. But it's also the same blanks Geotech uses, so unless you get a custom grind that is specifically made for you I'd never pay 1000 dollars for those sticks.
  6. It all makes sense of course. Except when he wrote that a too heavy club would produce thin shots. I would argue too light clubs would produce thin shots and even whiffs, and heavy clubs (SW/total weight) would produce fat shots. And, after I read this I went to the pro shop and the first thing I saw was the new Fourteen driver with a 47.75 inch shaft..

What he said. The Legacy Black is more compact, "better player" looking, less offset. But still plenty forgiving enough. For me at least

Do you have any idea what the head only weight is on the F3?
  9. I have these, and love them. They are a perfect blend of compactness, not much offset (at least looking down on them) and forgivness. And, yes they feel ultra soft. But the best part is that they are easily the most accurate irons I have played. Which was a bit unexpected, since i feel the Vega blades I also have are/were very accurate already. I checked out the VG3s, but feel they looked quite a bit bigger and more offset, and a bit to shiny/busy graphics-wise. The colour scheme on the Legacy Blacks is just extremely classy and stealthy looking
  10. Interesting stuff. Like I said, I laways liked the look of the look of the Gloire, might need to track one down and hit it.
  11. I have always liked the look of the 1st gen Gloire. But always thought they'd be really high launch and spinny..Kinda like an "old mans" driver. The uberwhippy and light TM shafts reinforced that impression I guess. Mind, I have never hit one
  12. When I heard the Japanese TM guys talk about the Gloire they pronounced it as GLOY-RE. The RE part as in "reputation" for example. If it's supposed to be french it's to be pronounced as Gloaar I guess...Hm, maybe that makes it even more confusing
  13. Will definitely let you know when I go up to bkk the next time
  14. Not JDM, but the longest would be the Bridgestone J38s I gamed a few years ago. They also felt pretty good. Best feeling (on center hits!) so far would be my VEGA/Kyoei blades, and they are ok for length too. The best combo for me is the Callaway Legacy Black that I have gamed the past 4-5 months, the 2012 "Stenson Model". (And no, I didn't get them because of Stenson or at the recent close out). They feel very soft and delivers really good distance too.
  15. The new 709 ltd in the pro shop looks interesting though..Steel body, Ti face. Unusual, but maybe great combo. Maybe the steel will make it feel/sound great?
  16. I wonder why people would go graphite when there are steel shafts this light? I mean how light do you really want to go in irons? Plus, why dole out so much extra to get lightweight graphite shafts when there are steel shafts this light? maybe it's a feel issue

Off topic, but I kinda like the look of that customisable forged in japan driver they offer..
  18. Although the blades should at least go up to the 8-iron..Otherwise good looking set
  19. Good looking head indeed. But whats up with the price? I mean 287 dollars? Why not 287.3 dollars? lol

    Aren't they called Masuda?
  21. I've heard that before, but can it really be true? That the Crazy Jbeam 435 have better spec and performance than the Jbeam ? Seems implausible.
  22. Crazy have used various makers to produce their heads. I'm not sure, but I dont think Crazy even has the facilities to actually produce heads themselves. They might rebrand exisitng heads or co-design heads that are then produced by the other party.
  23. Always though the 425 looked really cool. In black it's extra cool..GLWS
