I got the Craft 611 as well, I got the 10 degree version and I'm happy for that, because, for me, the 611 is very low spin and not more then say, medium launch. I swing pretty hard, 110-114 mph and have often struggled with too much spin and a too high ball flight, and so have gone to 8-9 degree heads before, but the Craft 611 gives me a kinda medium flat ball fligth with truly excellent roll out. I can't believe they are marketing the 611 as being high launch? It has a deep face, is compact, has a high back design and is very short front-to-back. Any weight in the 611 will be pretty close to the face because the head is so small...?

Yeah, not much "buzz" (to use an awful GD term) around Kamui Works for a while now. I get the feeling they are rather conservative and won't release anything until they really feel they have a solid, new and improved design to offer? Customisation seems to be their hallmark. And with the designs they have, well, maybe they feel they can get a driver for just about anybody since the heads can be customised to such a high degree? Just speculation here of course..

Good loking stuff! Where will you be shipping from?
  4. Almost everybody apparently buys The 388 for The solid feel and workability The design promises. And then almost everybody is blown away by The DISTANCE and even level of forgiveness it delivers. Kinda like my experience with the Mizuno 611 craft. Really want to try the 388... I still keep my old R510tp, and every time I take it out for a round, I hit it really good, no issues with forgiveness at all, and it feels just solid. I always thought it was some kind of weird nostalgia behind that, but now I use the craft 611, and the 388 is all the rage here..Seems like a cc of around 400 is ideal for many people when it come to drivers? It almost feels easier to hit a compact driver straight, for me at least. Easier to aim too for some reason.
  5. Trying..
  6. My apologies, it's the M6 Xstiff shaft i have...Not the S. And, embarassingly enough, I can't attach photos. How do I do that?
  7. BTW, in the pro shop it says that the Reserve still has a Ti face, but that it's made in layers, when it actually has a composite face, no Ti in the face at all. Just so you don't get a confused customer ordering the reserve expecting a "layered forged Ti face".
  8. I can imagine the kind of roll you'd get with the 611 at Royal Hua Hin (railway course)! usually very hard and fast fairways there..Here in Phuket I played Loch Palm the other day and Phuket Country Club today, pretty lush fairways and I still got very good roll with the 611. What shaft you use in yours. Up until today I was seriously pondering throwing my Kaili Stiff in the 611, but now I feel like I might let it be as it is. Yeah, matte black like the Anser or S Yard would be great.
  9. This shaft feels good, it's very stout but at the same time really rather smooth. Not as "glassy/electric" feeling as the Crazy LY-02 for example, but still plenty good feel and, if i load it good and hard, it just kicks back in a very predictable way. This is the straightest shaft I have hit, except for the Miyazaki Kusala 72 Black in Xstiff. That was even straighter, but with a much duller feel. I also have the W7WA Roddio in X, and that feels good too, but the S6 feels even better. This Roddio is just very stable, stout and straight. Plus, if you really load it, kicks back hard and delivers amazing distance. The feel is that it has a kind of "full action" to the bend proflie, a very even feel to the kick. It doesn't feel like the tip is especially active, more like the whole shaft kicks back, from the middle part of the shaft it that makes sense. The first copule of rounds with this combo I really thought I had to switch out the shaft, it felt very tough at first, but I noticed I just really need to swing positive (not crazy hard) and don't be afraid of releasing and the ball flies really straight..
  10. So, my first post about this driver was not too positive, mainly because of the Roddio M6 Xstiff shaft I have in it. But I have pressed on and the last two rounds I have started to hit this combo extremely well. I have the 10 degree, which I'm happy for, since this is, for me, a very low launch/spin combo. I got this club as a "control" driver, a club to hit low and straight, but it has turned into a real distance monster. It took me a couple of rounds to gel with this club, but now it's just amazing. Extremely nice impact feel, mid to lowish trajectory and excellent, I mean EXCELLENT roll out..I hit the ball to completely new places today,. I drove the green on a shortish 320 yards par 4, into the wind too, something I have never done on that hole. Must be the roll out I get with this driver. Weirdly, I also found it quite forgiving, my misses turned into a still very playable fade/minor slice. So, for me there was no honeymoon with this club, it grew on me slowly, with some really excellent results in the end. At first it felt very unforgiving and harsh and was difficult to launch. Totally different story now.
  11. Too strong language used, removing this post. Now, back to the Epon discussion.

Is The club in The US? I must have gotten it all wrong,, thought you lived in The phillippines.

That's correct. Tour issue ard special heads for tour players, although it can also be normal retail heads thare weight checked. TP is something else completely.
  14. It really looks like Epon have gone from restrained classy stuff to more glitzy looking stuff? Like, the EHR..
  15. So, reverse offset then? A japanese speciality, or at least used to be.
  16. The Gloire "straight" bag and the adizero adidas bags look great.
  17. I have tried the pricier version from mizuno, the cross eight or something like that, and they were also really good. I remember I promised myself to buy some more of those, you reminded me now, ha ha
  18. Nicely written Chris! I guess this is an example of how the Japanese focus on personal relationships, while bringing certain advantages, also has it's distinct disadvantages..Where the personal relationship gets in the way of common business sense.

What's the length of the club?
  20. really cool looking stuff! Copper underlay? Fantastic they offer that as an option, almost unheard of...
  21. I'd like to know too, heard nothing about this driver.
  22. Ha ha, I immediately went on the web to see more photos of that driver. looks perfect to me, and yeah, I saw the address photo too, looks very very good man. I can imagine these are hard to find, yeah..
  23. Wow! That mizuno driver looks like a real bomber..That's a DEEP face. Great looking stuff.

Ha ha, it's just come out, so hardly a "classic". Instant classic maybe, if there is such a thing.
