  1. Can you remind us what the recommended Swing Speed was for these heads?
  2. I agree the face has almost a driver like pop to it. And does have a metallic sound. but it's not overly loud. I hear good things about the Evo II FW.
  3. Thanks for the review!! What shaft do you use in your RS-F? I started off with trying the Basilesus Beta FW, but it didn't seem to provide the trajectory I would like to see. just a bit spinnier where the ball climbs higher at the end. Mine is a 16.5 deg 3 wd head so that might be why....

I was wondering why I never see these on the used market. I guess they've been out since August or so, but probably not selling many due to the on site fitting requirement.
  5. Nice! I feel these shafts are in a league of its own. So comparing the two putters I have with Dogattis, I noticed that the label location was totally different. One was assembled by Gold's Sasaya-san and the other by me. It looks like Sasaya san took off a good 1.5 inches from the tip . I did not tip at all. Difference in feel? not really. They are both stiff like no other. But In theory, the tipped one should be even stiffer. I just thought I would mention it because I've never even thought about tipping putter shafts. Is this common practice?

From what I can gather by the material used, I am guessing these heads are made at Endo Thailand. Some of the lines on the sole also resemble that of recent Epon offerings. Chris, any plans on testing these drivers? Would love to see some reviews on these. If my hunch is right, I think these might feel/sound similar to the beloved TS X-Drive 705 series. In addition , "No adjustable hosel!!" :) I also love that they are offering adjustable weight ranging from 2g to 20g!! Standard head weight is 198g with the 6g screw.... meaning you could go from 194g to 212g head weight. Aha!! I should totally do a 43.5" shorty driver with this head!! http://www.bs-golf.com/bs-products/j015/product/driver.html

Depends on weight of the shafts. If the weight of the shafts weights, of the grips, and the weight distribution of the shaft are the same, you will get the same swing weight with the same length. Having said that, some of the more recently released shafts, graphite or steel have more weight towards the butt and act as counterbalance. Thus, you may end up with a lighter swing weight if you try and set up with your normal lengths.
  8. I was watching some Youtube videos last night about Yonex's new drivers. XPG and Royal DTP, XPG is the general model and the Royal DTP is the senior/"executive" model. Both drivers apparently use some counterbalance technology using slightly heavier head + weighted grip XPG: 43 m/s ( 96 mph ) swing speed, age in their 50's drove the ball 280 to 290 yards in the video DTP: 40 m/s ( 89 mph ) swing speed, age in their 60's and 70's drove the ball close to 270 to 280 yards in the video Interestingly, they called these videos as "documentaries" which I am not sure how to interpret. :) If these are true numbers, I gottta get me one of these drivers to try out. I also noticed that they are coming out with a new Triprinciple putter now with adjustable weights. http://www.yonex.co.jp/golf/clubs/triprinciple-putter-tp-s500.html
  9. In Seattle? Wow! That's a rare find! not sure if I've read any feedback. They are so rare. Yuta Ikeda used it for a few months. but went back to steel. So I guess that tells us Ikeda didn't care for ir roo much.

1050GH in one set and Modus Wedge 105 in another. Both have controlled mid flight and produces enough spin for me.
  11. Welcome to the forum!! I can see your bag is starting to gravitate towards full on JDM !!

You probably don't want to hear this, but seeing the current state of the BST market, it would be very hard to sell the shaft by itself, unless ofcourse there is a potential buyer looking for that specific shaft. if you are calling for offers, you should probably go ahead and post them on BST.
  13. While I never played my VS200 in wet conditions, the favorite part of the VS200 for me is the rounded sole grind. Very much like the Mizuno MP rounded sole. For me, they seem to work the best for how I swing my irons. I have more of a sweeping swing and maybe that's why they work well.
  14. VS200 are more forgiving than most people think. While I do not know how 302s play, I have experience with 301s and for sure the VS200 are more forgiving. VS200 are also a bit more compact than 301.

BTW, if your Yamada putters are shaft over hosel models, obviously , you won't be able to use these shafts.

I am assuming you mean tip size... :) Actual spec I believe is 9.2mm ( 0.362" ) for the black and 9.3mm ( 0.366" ) for the red/white paint. ( maybe it's a typo on their site or they actually account for the different type of paint ? ) By default, it is for a .370" hosel, but you can shave down the tip to make it fit a .355" hosel.
  17. perhaps different heads may provide different feedback but for my two putters. IPT GF mod and Geo Galaxy, I can totally tell if I missed the sweet spot.
  18. I tried the Fire Express as well. Dogatti feels more solid to me. I think it's mainly because of the tunsgten powder infused carbon sheet it uses full length. Also because of how stiff it is, when you waggle your putter, there is absolutely no flex in the shaft . I do believe this minimal flex of the shaft contributes to better distance control and consistency.
  19. Since you are in Japan, maybe you can get a hold of one of those Black Diamana Protos that Yuta Ikeda was using for a while. Uber rare Only 100 pieces made. I know of one on the market paired up with a Scotty Tour Rat... they want 400,000 yen for the putter so .. I am just drolling over the photos.
  20. try the Dogatti. Even Sasaya-san was totally impressed when he was building up my IPT putter. It's crazy stiff at around 500 cpm... but it feels great and rolls the ball so well! I now have it in my Geo Galaxy as well.
