  1. Nope, haven't got a chance to hit the 905s. I'm sure its great, I looked at them many times and hit them in my imagination a few times. :) I love new technology and design, but still love the classic butter knife looking heads. How do u think the 905s compare to the Personals?

Great choice of irons! Also, like a lot of people have noticed... The vintage head covers are awesome, they add some flavor to the bag!
  3. Man that MP-59 looks great in the twilight finish! I'm curious to see how the W sole plays. I'm usually a blade type guy, but these half cavity designs are starting to win me over. :)
  4. I tested this shaft in Japan a while back. It is a very stable shaft and surprising forgiving. Even with the softer flexes I loved how I could feel the clubhead stay with the shaft throughout my swing. I didn't have to try to think about a smooth swing. Was able to just swing away as I was confident that the clubhead would be right there at impact. No worrying about the ball ballooning when I go after one! I thought it had a bit of a firmer feel at impact, but definitely solid and consistent.
  5. I tried the Epons on some really dry and hard surfaces and I would agree that it worked very well. I think the thinner sole has a lot to do with it. I felt that it helps the clubhead cut into the hard turf better without it bouncing through. Nothing beats that crisp feel when the head cuts through some turf perfectly. :)
  6. The 52* is 6* bounce and the 58* is a 12* bounce. Here the link to the shop: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4349 Love how clean these wedges are, haven't got a chance to try them and can't wait to! I like how compact it is, I may have to boot the vokeys as from the top of my list. ;)
  7. Good stuff. Thanks for the comparison. Looking forward to how it goes on the course!
  8. The Fried Egg doen't look like your typical sand wedge, but once you get used to the shape, it is a great club to get the ball out of the sand with ease. You don't have to try to mess with the face angles or anything, just set up and swing away from the sand. It's a good club if you struggle out of the bunkers, only drawback is that it needs to be dedicated for the sand only, or some fluffy rough.
  9. I know a lot of Japanese golf enthusiasts and when they come to play some golf, they always want to try USDM equipment. A lot of them I know have multiple sets of clubs and treat some of the USDM equipment, kind of like a piece of their collection. They like to have some things that are not your typical Japanese stuff in their collection. Many of the people I know understand the quality of JDM equipment, but want a variety and something different to look at. I know people that play USDM clubs when they come to the U.S. and use their JDM set when they're back home. Crazy what golfers will do! :)
  10. Lol. I'm sure they exist. Crazy, all the stuff people come up with!

  12. The new Epon clubs look sweet! I don't think the EHR is for me, but very luxurious appearance with updated technology!

The OnOff and Yammys are great soft feeling irons with lots of forgiveness. The OnOffs are slightly longer and a bit more forgiving. The Yamaha, produce a very soft feel and it feels like you can actually feel the ball sticking to the face at impact. I thought that was a pretty cool feedback to have. These two irons have thinner top lines and smaller amounts of offset incase you feel like you need to try to mess with some shot shaping too. The VG3's are good looking (new and refreshing) and very, very forgiving. The only thing is that it's on the chunkier side as far as the top line goes and very noticeable compared to the other two irons. Its good for players looking or an emphasis on forgiveness.
  16. Great wedges to look at! :) I feel that the TVD grind works best in firmer conditions compared to the Miura and Yururi wedges. It is however the firmer in feel than the other two. I still love the TVD for how it sets up and versatile it is in funky grass around the greens. It gets a good amount of spin and is very predictable. Miura wedges have the softer feel out of the three. I always liked how soft they felt, but for some reason they just don't click with me so I never had a full time Miura gamer They are good all around, but didn't have one specific thing that stood out to me. One thing I noticed about the Miura wedges are that they do not spin as much as other wedges, BUT the ball comes off very soft off the face and is very predictable- like tossing a ball with your hands. The Yururi on the other hand, may not feel as soft as the Miura wedges, but they will beat out any wedge in spin and reaction time on the greens. I have never hit a wedge that I was able to spin more than the Yururis. I think that some things to consider are what type of conditions you will be playing in and how you like to attack the pins around the greens. I hope this helps a bit.
  17. I love how clean the 925 blades look. Interested in the feel of the s20c heads. The 525 has some mass around the sole, if they made a 1 and 2 iron in the 525 I might consider them in place of utility clubs.

Congrats! I'm excited about this driver too! Let us know how it works for you.
  19. Epon has a lot of amazing feeling stuff and I haven't thought about a different design, but not that it's mentioned a very thin, and less offset model (butter knife looking) irons would be amazing! With that said I do think that the Personals are great blades because of the feel and the added forgiveness you don't find in traditional blades. The really compact (butter knifey, very thin topline irons are very pure looking, but the Personals are near perfect when it comes to having a blade that has some room for error, especially when in pressure situation or needing that one shot to get a few extra bucks off your friends. :)

I'll be updating the shop with some junior sets so keep an eye out for them. :)
  21. Nice post. I've tried alot of drivers, but my current jBeam (425) gamer has been treating me awesome so far. I love the soft feel and especially the sound. I'm interested in trying out the 435R and try some different shaft combinations.
  22. I'd say its closer to the DI than the DJ. I haven't played these yet, but its closer to the Blueboard which is closer to the DI so that's why Im saying this. Although it is a different animal! The 3rd generation Diamana has new material called Dialead. It's something that Mitsubishi developed for the space program, but now they are bringing it into their shafts. It is very light weight strong against deformation. This makes the shaft very consistent throughout the swing, even at very high swing speeds. Also, helps in absorbing vibrations and giving it a very consistent feel.
  23. The RF551 is exciting stuff. I like straight up blades, but with less offset and thinner top line, it looks like something i wouldn't mind playing. I especially like the finish on the head as it makes it look more compact.

I think checking the flex would be a good place to start. If it feels too stiff (not getting any consistent feedback in your hands) consider a softer shaft with even a higher loft such as 10.5*. Too stiff of a shaft can cause too little spin in a driver and not prevent the ball from travelling the maximum distance. It would also feel harsh on your hands, especially on off center hits. Also, it seems you hit your F2 good, so check out the angle of attack at impact. A lot of players who can absolutely murder a fairway wood and struggle with a driver have very steep angles coming into the ball. With a lofted club such as a f2, the actual loft may be 13*, but you may be making contact at 10* because of the angle the clubface is coming into impact. This will produce a very powerful flight with woods, but you can see how if you start with a 9.5* and you deloft at impact, it may be 7* at impact and that may cause some issues. I haven't seen you hit a ball, but those are some things that I think may help you. :)
