Gold's Modified Putters
I can't even begin to imagine improving the feel on my Zen so I'm very jealous. Unfortunately the buttons just look so out of place to me. I'd love to see all the weighting flush fit and subtly noticeable.

Fingers crossed that this is the next gen GTR R36!

Epon Zen vs Epon i33 vs Yamada Emperor 2
+1 While I've not owned (or even rolled) that many Scotty's, I too have never found one to be even close to the Yamada, not to mention the Zen!

Epon Zen vs Epon i33 vs Yamada Emperor 2
I had a burning copper Yamada and thought it was superb...until my Zen arrived. Sold the Yamada immediately! So far the only putter that feels as good as the Zen is the Miura KM-350 but it has the Freq Filter shaft so it is cheating a little. That's the best bang for the buck around but it doesn't hold a candle to the beauty and balance of the Zen.

most anti-left driver shaft?
TJ-80 is at the top of the list. Just waiting to see how some of the TRPX X-Line shafts play out...

Those are sick! And I must be too...I just painfully decided to sell off some wedges and now I'm looking at more before the money even had time to get comfy in my paypal account. I need to keep my priorities straight and focus on my driver for now! Lol

Son of a b....!! I think the face on my 435 is cracked!
Both my 435's (as well as every one I've seen in the bst) lost the paint in their scoring lines at the center of the face so I wouldn't worry about it. This one actually has metal flaking and missing when looked at under a magnifying glass and if I run a fine metal pick down the scoring line it gets caught in the crack. I don't know if it's cracked all the way through but it's definitely cracked on the surface!

Lol...out of all the drivers I've had, the 435 is the one that felt like it could handle it the most. How ironic that I just sold my back-up 435!

It may not be cracked as bad as your Onoff...but it's certainly not healthy!

Over the last couple if rounds I've noticed the sound/pitch of my Crazy 435 had changed. It quit giving me that smashing sound when pured. I hadn't been playing much so I attributed the different sound and perceived loss of distance to slightly missing the sweet spot. After carefull inspection I noticed some cracking in the groove right in the center of the face. It's definitely not dirt or paint! Excuse the poor pics...but it's the best I can do with an Iphone.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
I stripped the head on one of my Crazy 435 weights barely using any pressure as well so I can't say mine were any better.

Another custom paint job on my 435
It's the only new driver that truly interests me right now. I don't think it can dethrone the 435 as the king of distance but I might be willing to sacrifice a few yards for feel and better sound.

I've always considered myself a traditionalist and have also preferred a black driver. When TM came out with white I thought it was hideous...and still do to be honest. I told my buddy to stick with a subtle Hawaiian theme like he did for my 3w (pics around here somewhere) and I was a bit overwhelmed when he gave me this. But now it has really grown on me.

Zen Goodsie
The Miura/FF combo blew away the feel of my Yamada (which I thought felt great until then). I had planned to put an FF in the Yamada as well but sold it within minutes of finding my Zen. With it's standard shaft the Zen felt as good as good as the Miura! I thought I was going to get Stew to do a shaft swap on his but his driver OCD always forces everything else to the back burner, lol! You've really got me thinking about this again...

Zen Goodsie
I really wish you had gotten a chance to roll it with the stock shaft so you could have made a comparison. I've always wanted to find out how my Zen felt with a FF shaft since it makes my Miura KM-350 feel so good. The Zen feels so close to perfect now that I'm hesitant to take a chance with reshafting, especially if the FF shaft is much lighter than the original.

Another custom paint job on my 435
The TRPX is about the only driver I'd like to try at this point...probably because I can see obvious 435 influences in it's design...

Another custom paint job on my 435
There are other things that attribute to my distances beyond my ss. I play my finished length to 47", my swing weights are in the F range, and I play a flex that's technically way too soft for me. Add that to hard fairways and I get yardages that don't seem possible based on ss alone. In the 435's defense, all my drivers are built this way so it's still a stand out among the crowd.

Another custom paint job on my 435
I'm not sure what my swing speed is nowadays. The last time I was measured was 105mph but my playing partners say that can't be right and estimate 112ish by my swing and distances. So I honestly don't know...

Another custom paint job on my 435
No, there isn't! A guy from our 4some asked to hit it on our last hole to compare it to his new TM driver. He hit two solid drives right down the center...but the 435 was over 30yds longer. I'm sure there's more to the results but it was what it was. The 435 is simply the king of distance! You do need to get one done! Let me know if you need his contact info again. ;)

Another custom paint job on my 435
Don't be sorry. Although I grew to accept and later kinda appreciate it, I'm still not a huge fan of the feel either. If there was anything that could match the 435's distance and felt better I'd be playing it!
