  2. Chris how is the feel of this club compared to the carbon forged driving irons. I really like the looks of the Fourteen HI-610h T.S. Hybrid and the Yonex Zero as well.
  3. Ball speed is a notch or two better with the Personals than Stay Puft according to my Trackman data.
  4. Good responses. Basically we have a lot of wind and I have seen some guys using them for short par 4s to keep tee shots out of the wind amongst other things. I hate using a long iron off a tee and my fairways and egglet are too high for ideal. Reason the egglet is higher lofted than the utility iron is that it is what I already have...my 24* iron is easy to hit...so I would need to go below it. Which would also aid in the lower launch and whatnot. I'm just playing around with ideas.
  5. I'm kind of toying with the idea of getting a driving iron but don't have much experience with them. Been debating loft and I already have a 21* egglet so I think I'd go in the 17-18* range and have a different club for different things. Looking for some feedback and experience and if its worth even messing with. Thanks guys
  6. I think I just peed a little
  7. I would say a ladies club is determined by who is using it...after my range session yesterday I think all my clubs were ladies clubs.
  8. Guess that's why they say feel is subjective. Wouldn't be much golf equipment discussion if everyone liked the same thing. P
  9. Very cool gift, but I wish he'd gotten a spraypainted Dunlop and hope he misses every putt with it. :)
  10. You don't get beat up for playing C-Tapers, we just beat up the product as it seems to be the antithesis of a lot of what we like JDM for. (Soft, feel, refinement, etc.) :) To each his own....
  11. He said I would have it at latest by beginning of league so around 2nd week of April. His Damascus stuff is insane...just out of my budget for now.
  12. He doesn't do GSS that I know of, at least he doesn't publicize it. Not saying he couldn't get it though. I did quite a bit of research and even though I am German heritage and really wanted the GSS, I couldn't find a discernable difference, it is mostly just prestige imo. There is a thread on THP 38 or so pages with TONS of pictures of Lajosi putters which got me to pull the trigger. Some of the inlays he has done are insane, like doing a lizard shaped insert, etc. He even did a lizard shaped insert site line on the top flange, a weld bead site line, etc. I was just impressed with the imagination and skill the guy possesses and he seems to be willing to try pretty much any crazy idea anyone comes up with. My build is a high toe didge, carbon with copper plating but then with brushed nickel over the top of the copper. I have attached a picture of a high toe Didge in gunmetal finish and the other putters have the same finish I am going with. My putter will end up being like the gunmetal putter, but center shaft, and the finish of the other putter pictured. I am not trying to change your mind by any means, I just have been thoroughly impressed by Kari and his work, and the price as well.
  13. I have had no fewer than 3 packages get completely lost never to be seen again by USPS in the past year, and several envelopes as well. My theory is they are keeping a certain percentage to auction off for extra budget funds.
  14. I just wonder how these will perform for me with the soft tip.
  15. LMAO it is addicting isn't it? Normally Youtube golf videos are boring at best and unwatchable at worst, but I love Mark's. He uses real people's swing videos and critiques them and shows the proper technique and how to get there while being entertaining and humorous. Breaks down a lot of myths as well and has an incredible swing. His head to head product comparisons seem to be spot on with my analysis as well so I feel like I can get a good read from him on things. As far as changing a swing to s club I agree it isn't good, unless you have a marked flaw across all clubs causing a problem that needs technical fixing versus different equipment. I have played the wrong equipment in the past which has brought more swing errors into play trying to adapt to a product which is NOT what you want. On the other hand, being a "moving target" so to speak following an injury or rebuilding a swing can be almost impossible to fit until you regain some sort of repeatable swing. For the first time in 12 months I feel like I have gotten back to a good, solid repeatable swing from which good equipment recommendations can be made.
  16. I couldn't either that's why I sold it haha
  17. Looks good gian11. I am sure it will turn out magnificent. I have to admit, I went ahead and ordered a Lajosi because I'm not going to chase someone down at Morgan to answer my emails. A guy on Putter Talk said if you haven't pulled the trigger on Byron yet, give Lajosi a look, so I did and I was really impressed. Lajosi always emailed back within 8-12 hours, answering all questions in detail and I think his work is stunning, so I am going to give him a shot. Price is right too. I am doing a one-off design so he has to write the program for it and draw it up and it was still a few hundred less than a similar Byron. Wanted a Morgan but very disappointed at the way the ordering process has gone (or not gone). Hopefully mine was an isolated incident and Morgan isn't getting so big that they can't take care of people. I see you're in Oz so I am curious what people have to say about Lajosi since he is from there.
  18. Look forward to seeing the rest of their lineup as it is released...They already have some of my favorite stuff and I am sure it will only get better.
  19. Good deal B hope it works out for you. Some of us (like myself) have swing flaws you don't always want to fit your clubs to!
  20. B, Try a little spine tilt away from the target in addition to moving the ball forward an inch in your stance, sometimes it just takes a little adjustment period to get the ball flight where you want it through technique rather than equipment adjustment. I messed around with an old Cobra L5V this summer/fall sometime and it was 8.5" with a long shaft and even though I tend to hit the ball high enough, I couldn't hit anything but low bullets with that thing. I found a little spine tilt made a huge difference in getting the ball flight where it needed to be. In addressing the other thoughts: Sometimes when people are paired with a setup that's too stout, it tends to cause too much hand action and flipping thru impact, which can cause a whole host of problems that would seem counterintuitive to normal thought. It can take equipment that was missing right on a guy because it was too stout, and all of a sudden turn into left misses due to overcorrection for the shaft. I know because it happened to me last year playing my "full strength" 2011 gear on the heels of rotator cuff surgery and a severe wrist sprain. I hear people say that good golfers can play with anything, and I suppose it's true. But from my experience in the past year, having equipment mismatched to my physical limitations at the time introduced some bad habits I am just now shaking off. I hit a lot of good drives, but my misses were bass ackwards from the normal. All year long I thought my handicap was skyrocketing simply because of the physical effects of the injuries, but I now realize it was my brain trying to compensate for what had become overly stout equipment. While it was a frustrating season, it did teach me a lot about the release, timing, etc. I went from having a bit of tentative release that could result in weak pushes and push fades and a waste of my decent power to a fuller, aggressive late release that could be characterized as flipping and missing left. Now that I have seen the effects of both sides of the situation, it makes it clearer in my mind's eye the role of the hands and release in the golf swing, which has led to the best ball striking sessions of my life, with much greater power transfer and correct ball flight. Like Mark Crossfield (in his delightful British accent) always preaches, "you can't find the correct middle unless you've been on both sides." Love that guy's YouTube videos.
  21. Filthy....absolutely filthy.
  22. Stew should be able to help he probably has more experience with this driver and weights than anyone else. Glad to see I left a few good hits in it for you! In the meantime, try teeing it farther forward in your stance going as far forward as the middle toe of your left foot. With longer shafted drivers nowadays the old rule of ball placement makes a positive angle of attack pretty difficult. This might help you out some. I will likely pick up another KPX in the future with a shaft more suited for me...great great driver.
  23. Indeed...sold finally
