Used a couple that stand out for distance. I agree the F3 is long but just too big. I got great distance out of the Syard XV...very good off of the T, the common denominator in both these was the FW80 7.4.....One of those shafts that compliments just about any FW.

Hi Nobs. I am the same...tried so many 3 woods....Troublesome to say the least. I have been using the 358 more recently, but trying to settle on what shaft is best for this head. Interesting the Ahina is working out for you....Light weight in a stiffer profile, I may have to give that a run. Great article by the way, easy to take something out of what you write when you cover all bases.....
