  1. When it comes to Adjustability in golf clubs Japan is fairly conservative. Of course TM is known best for it but it's something I don't think has stuck in Japan like it has in the U.S. Your totally right though, their tech and other stuff comes out earlier.
  2. Sorry Pete, The 15* FW are abundant but the 13* isn't should be arriving anytime now Email us if you have any questions or need to make changes.
  3. I figured we need a Yonex post mainley because the tip sizes differ from other JDM brands so it's worth an explain. Along with that we can post pics maybe merge a couple of other topics. Tip Sizes: EZONE Type 380 Driver - .350 EZONE Type 420 Driver - .350 EZONE Type 450 Driver - .350 EZONE Type ST Fairway - .350 EZONE Utility - .350 EZONE Forged MB Iron - .355 tapered EZONE Forged CB Iron - .370 parallel EZONE Forged PB Iron - .370 parallel EZONE Forged Wedge - .355 tapered EZONE Composite Iron - .370 parallel Interesting that they decided to go that route, the clubs are inserted with a shim at the factory if necessary. Yonex is to me at least is this years surprise. 6 months before the Japan show not many were expecting a launch as complete and well done from wedge to driver. Above that's the 15* ST Fairway Wood. I really enjoy it's feel and shape and size. All Yonex products are available head only component style except for the Utility wood.. Not sure why but thats ok. Speaking of it below's the new UT. It's easy to hit, has mid/high trajectory, felt a little flat at impact but a very safe club that set's up very well. There are 3 types of iron sets. Two which I am happy to say are made at Endo. Both of which I have had the pleasure of hitting and like very very much. Those two models are the Forged CB (smaller head) Forged PB (mid sized). The Muscle Back's are just trickling out, My set just arrived I'll take some pics for you guys. Zero iron will soon release. I would definitely say check out the Forged CB. It's got an undercut yet doesn't feel clicky. It feels like a hollow soft. I think I'll coin a new term "Srixon Z-UTI 'ish..." Look Here: (Such a Nice Top Line) View it in the Blog Here: Other than that the new Wedge is Japan Forged and a really solid performer for the decent to better player. I have hit it many times now, spin is better than most, shape is very unique designed by Miyagi-san of MTI formerly the designer for PRGR MTI's and is also famous for his Tour Wedges in Japan. I still need to spend time with the Muscle Backs and get my hands on the Zero iron. There are also some decent Japan made putters coming as well. So that's it, a place to come if you have questions about Yonex product. On a side note Yonex told me Ryo was playing the MB's on the PGA a couple of weeks ago. Anyone pay notice to what he has in the bag for the U.S Open? I saw he's sportin the new Yonex caps.
  4. Your making me want one! I was thinking DJ-6 to help it get up.
  5. Very good prices on these if anyone want's them.
  6. I'll see if I can get you some.
  7. Yamaha D Steel is totally my vote!
  8. I'm not sure about superior but I like it better. I hit one of the softest most best feeling shots ever with them. I think the Srixon is the most iron like of what your looking at. The Fourteen with the same shaft has me a slightly higher ball flight and both had nice tight dispersion's going on in the NS950.
  9. Miura's got the new MB-5000W wedge and it's pretty kick ass. Also the PP-9003 global model is offered in 2 face shapes and 3 different sole grinds. We recently ordered each shape in each sole and are testing them now. Miura calls the face shapes Normal & Round and the Sole Grinds Normal (the standard sole), Trailing Edge Sole (Option) and Dent Sole (option). Below a picture of the Normal Face Shape.
  10. I liked the Srixon over the 14 as well. here are some pics:
  11. lots of people are anti offset in irons and wedges, I can handle a bit in either. I would take a little offset over a little onset or none at all.
  12. T are you still gaming the VG3's with Tour AD's?
  13. Yonex 13* is stand out, feels great soft and crunchy. I'm not to thrilled about how the driver and ut feels though. I hit the RC driving spoon, It was a little to deep faced for me and when struck pure was equal in distance to my EGG they just took two different routes. The Egg with lots of carry and a softer landing the RC low with a ton of roll. As far as consistency of result goes I still vote Egg but think the RC would do well in the hands of a hard hitter.
  14. I would suggest the ONOFF Forged. IMO they have about the same forgiveness, the ONOFF has a better setup with less offset, feels much better at impact, has a lower trajectory. The 502 has a soft feel but its sorta dead and that I just couldn't get past. The 502 is a bit longer IMO, It could be the jacked lofts.
  15. The Egg is so long it's created new gaps in my bag.

I switched form the new Crazy 460 to the Ryoma. Ryoma has the lower trajectory, much straighter, more distance, better feel yet isn't as workable. My driver ranking currently stands at: 1. Ryoma 9.5* 2. Akira M109 9* 3. JBeam 425 Tour 10* 4. Kamui 9.5* For The Romaro Ray. we can get it and at a lower price than most so please inquire if interested but honestly it's price isn't justified in manufacturing and performance. It's similar to the Kenmochi, very pretty but not stand out driver.
  17. Thanks B, that review is spot on at least in my experience.
  18. The 787 is indeed a fairway finder. Tatsuro has been gaming it in U.S events and will be using it for his run at Japan Q school in a couple of months attached to the JBEAM 425 Tour head or Akira M209.
  19. We have had the Baldo account for a little over a year now. Brought some woods in to review and the paint wasn't right, I wasn't willing to take pics as the first comments would have been about quality vs price. We sent them back and mentioned the paint issue with them. A another head arrived to us, same issue. We pretty much shelved the idea since.
  20. This topic is 4 years old, where'd ya find it?
  21. It's just more marketing garble to present the 202 as different or better than the dated CB-1005. It doesn't matter where you are in the world it's the firmness or softness of the turf that matters. They are trying to say North America has a specific type of turf. we can compare Vegas to Hawaii or NY to California and will see all sorts of variations in conditions. We can compare Tokyo to Hokkaido and see similar differences. A lot depends on water, soil type, sand, weather etc.. I would say pay more attention to your swing and if you come down step or shallow. I would also suggest a slightly rounded leading edge as it's almost always safer than a sharp one. I have some Miura Giken custom grind iron heads I'm doing comparisons on and will present in the blog. You chose a perfect time to ask this question.
  22. A more pretty option is the RC 11.5 driving FW.

If you like the Yammy Tours you may also like the 905 CB's as well. Yamaha makes great stuff! The new wedge as shown by Spoon has that same boxy toe as the Tour's which is something unique and very appealing to me.
  24. Sorry C, we decided to do Wedges first then move into UT's. On that note here are some teaser pics of a few of the wedges I've been testing.
  25. Our sources in Japan sent us some pics that were taken at the Byron Nelson Classic today. They were labelled Fourteen V6. Now It looks like the RAW blanks that Fourteen uses on the PGA & JPGA tour but a little speculation won't hurt right?
