Help choosing a Japan-spec driver...
TourSpecGolfer replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yup that ZR-600 does look good. Early reviews score it above almost everything else on the market. I suggest for a low to mid/high handicap player: EPON 460 .5 closed stock shaft( very forgiving with great feel ) Callaway ERC3 stock shaft ( may not be for you as it has a lower flight ) ZR-600 stock shaft ( havent hit it but it looks worth a try ) Taylormade R7 460 stock shaft ( forgiving with a similar flare to what you play now ) -

TourSpecGolfer replied to bert-b's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hey Bert, Stunning flat stick man, thanks for posting it. Im glad you got the putter you wanted and kicked it up a few levels. I love the deeper milling marks. -
They are Japan Issue Only, expect them just under 1199.00 + shipping. I will add the pre sale to the pro shop soon!

I guess we see soft and firm in different lights. The Mizuno clubs finished in China sold in the U.S are IMO firm. The ones finished in Japan feel soft IMO. All miuras IMO dont feel as soft as brands like Scratch, Epon, Tourstage, and Custom Mizuno. I also really wish they didnt use spin welded hosels to save money on tooling for multiple lofts. Dont get me wrong now, im not miura bashing, we do good Miura sales and i buy them to test each and every new set they release. After seeing whats available from Himeji in regards to raw blank heads, i truley do believe this was somthing they made for the U.S market on a budget. Go CB-1006 guys, you will be very happy with their new design.

Drop me a PM tell me what you need and i will give you an about date.

I would have to say Miura isnt as soft as many other brands out there, firm and pure for sure. The 301's are a very basic 80's design style cavity back. They could even be a discount raw head. If your going to select a Miura the 201, CB-1005 and CB-1006 are IMO your best choices

2* Open needs to be ordered and it takes 35 days. For two degrees it has to be built not hand picked.

Its 3 grams heavier and made special for Nickent Irons.

800 is tuff as its almost 2 years old. I suggest keeping it new and trying to sell it. the 420RF is a very very nice head but it wasnt made in Sakata Studios like the BERES stuff, the 420RF was made in china, also people complain about the amount of spin the RF puts on the ball. I have had a couple myself and found that very same result consistent through many top of the line shafts. Try Ebay?

The 460 has been in the bag for about 2 months now, I have no plans on changing to anything newer because this is maybe the only driver in 2 years that has satisfied all of my needs. 1. Its very forgiving with a very deep face. 2. The feel at impact, is IMO better than the 510DF and just shocking that a head this big can feel so good. 3. Distance is on par if not longer than anything else i have hit, again it depends on the shaft, Im hitting DREV as i didnt want to mess around with anything else if this is working so well.

The PT-6 shaft is a gem for sure, good choice. I do sugggest the Epon 460 and 415 easily over the Tourstage. Its feel is better, more forgiving, better shaft options, better weighting adjustment options and specs, also the tolorence is .25 instead of a full degree. custom face angles available but best of all its darn easy to use and feels sensational compared to any other oversized driver on the market.

I would stay away from both. If the EPON didnt feel so mute it would win hands down, but it has a very soft thwack mute sound to it. More so than any other FW i have ever felt. The X-ST is a pretty decent performer, I still like the GFT by G-Field over both of these and I also like the BBD type H2 with Tour AD PT-7 combo. Recently I am in the craze for steel headed fairway woods.

yes we carry all iron grips as well. just its via E-mail or PM.

Can any Japan based TSG'ers help out...
TourSpecGolfer replied to robwai's topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
PM me to let me know which marker your looking for. -
Yes its made by Bridgestone. Newig is a very good ball company on par with Bridgestone in my opinion.

Miura is a component club in Japan so many shops carry heads only as do we of any model. Take your passport to Victoria Golf for 5-10% off if you are a foriegner. Also i will beat the price of any store in Japan and have it 1 day shipped to your hotel for only 8 bucks. :tsg_smiley_yes:

I have these brand new for a limited time only cleveland JPGA tour issue wedges with DG wedge flex shafts.
-
Zodia has its new premium wedge called the Chiba grind just released. It comes with a black and yellow Iomic grip in many different shaft options. The finish on this wedge is hand done as so is the wedge in Japan. Its not your normal black has a different look to it as a hand done finish usually does.

Best LOW HITTING / HIGH KICK shaft in japan?
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I would say the 6064H goes a lower than the Dia Blue. And remember, if you find a dealer who can better our price, just drop me a PM I will match then beat theirs. -
Best LOW HITTING / HIGH KICK shaft in japan?
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
First two that come to my mind are the Tour AD I-65 type II and the Tour AD PT-7. I also suggest the Axiv V-Spec's -

We are 100% sure it is limited edition. -
Good shafts for me have been: NS850 FW Ol Fuji HKPro 80 Tour AD PT-7 or PT-8 ( #1 ) I like somthing tight and consistent in the 4 wood and somthing a bit heavier, straight and low for the utility.
