Fourteen's new HI-550 -TC-550 -JC506 -JC606
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I personally never really cared for 14 drivers, irons, or their driving irons but some people really like them, IMO go with the XD435 with the TXD-70 which is the only shaft on the market thats the same as the rare Diamana stinger. chris is the txd-70 identical to the stinger? if so is it a huge upgrade price ? No its not that huge of an upgrade price, its actually cheaper than say an M65, W60 etc.. and yes it is identical to the stinger. This is the only shaft on any market that is. -

New Cleveland Japan line up!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
SP700 is a titanium that can be made thinner and hotter. Due to the crown being so thin the center of gravity is lowered giving it a higher launch angle. Same reason for carbon crowns except it will still feel like Ti. -
The new Japan only Cleveland Launcher type J is a USGA conforming driver made with a super thin 0.4mm SP700 crown to lower the center of gravity. It features two tungsten weights in the rear which give it high launch and low spin. It is 460cc's. There is also the Type J fairway wood designed with the help of Fujikura that features a 0.7mm SP700 crown. Also the new mallet V.J has been using called the Gray Matter will be available in three different versions.

Gauge Design Japan MB2's **IMAGES**
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The I505's actually should be considered among the best CB's available now, the setup is less compact than the MB2's but I would say more player than the XCB1, Now when the new XCB2 comes out my best guess is it should be in the best CB bracket with these: - Gauge NC1 & MB2 - Srixon I-505 - Tourstage XCB2 ( have not hit yet ) - Royal Collection SFI Forged ( have not hit but getting killer reviews ) - Mizuno MP60's -
Here are some images of the new Fourteen golf products due to launch at the Tokyo Golf Fair Feb 2006! The new HI-550 will replace the HI-660 with a wider sole and hollow feel with internal weighting. The TC-550 Iron is a semi game improvement Iron geared toward the mid handicapper. 2 new drivers are set for release the JC506 and JC606 the 506 is 400cc's the 606 is 430cc's. There are also some new putters coming by Fourteen: BR-1 & BR-2 The BR-3 The PM-150

What's in the Silver Adidas Stand Bag 'IMAGES"
TourSpecGolfer replied to dcc14's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Its the Kodak picture service guys! Many who have used it to upload images on TSG have this problem, You must copy and paste the properties into your browser and view each image individually for it to appear in the thread. weird isn't it? Dave you have a seriously killer bag, I just hope you don't sell the NC1's before you get the MB2's shafted and hit them side by side. It would be a nightmare to have sold the one you actually hit better. -
Guys please help me design my crafting 'the one'!!!

Gauge Design Japan MB2's **IMAGES**
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It was almost too close to call. I noticed on Par 3's when I tee up the ball, shots hit a bit high on the face are much more forgiving with the NC-1s vs the MB2's. From the fairway they were pretty much dead even. Another factor is the weight of NC1 heads felt heavier attached to the shaft than the MB2s which helps me out because I am a feel player. The 1mm smaller topline wasnt really a factor to my eye. I have the XCB2's on order as well, I would be shocked but extremely happy if they knocked the NC's out of the bag. So far this is the longest my bag has been the same, NC-1 and GAS1 Forged wedges seem treat me better than anything I have ever tried and the feel between the NC1's and GAS1's are identical making them mesh evenly. To each is own, only people that own both sets with the same shaft and hit them side by side can truly figure this out. -

After several days at the range and a total of two rounds of golf I will be keeping the NC-1s in the bag. They are virtually the same in feel and performance, they differ in setup also the NC-1s are a tad more forgiving. The heads feeling heavier connected to the same 1150 shaft was the deciding factor for me. -

Could this be our new featured bag? Solid Carry bag man, how are the features, the material looks high tech! Your clubs look great, have you ever had the urge to give them the paintfill treatment, maybe dark blue or gold? Dont get me wrong they are stunning and clean with no fill. As you play these more let us know what you like or dont like about these clubs in this very thread, I am sure the members would appreciate that. Thank you for the great images and your bag is unreal! -
Graphite Design Tour AD Type 2
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It sounds like a killer! I dont know if they offer the I65 type 2 yet, I will find out for sure this weekend. The shaft was just released so I havent heard any reviews on it. -
Yup they are set to become part of the new retail line for Scotty, March 2006.

Its supposedly a more user friendly version of the original. Check out the specs: SR 72.0g 2.4deg S 73.0g 2.4deg X 75.0g 2.4deg The original was slightly heavier with less torque at 1.9. GD claims this version was built to react best with large heads.
