  1. Some of my friends in Japan are doing extensive reviews on the new Red series shaft by Diamana and have created this graph: What they are telling me is it has a softer tip and stiffer mid section which will help the ball get up quick, most of all the testers I know in Japan say it reminds them of the graphite design M65 yet with a higher trajectory giving more carry but less roll and not as tight a dispersion. compared to the diamana blue the red I am told fights a hook. FYI the testers are all very good players.
  2. The Diamana Red M series is starting to leak out in small quantities on the PGA and JPGA tours. It features a lower torque and softer tip. Specs are as follows: 299.00 Shipped! Diamana Red (M63) 62g 2.9tq Diamana Red (M73) 72g 2.9tq The official release in Japan is November 12th. I have several in each flex secured and pre-orders are now being taken. Pre-orders are scheduled to ship on the 13th or 14th of November via EMS 2-4 day express tracked and insured. Coming October 30th: 350.00 Shipped! Graphite Design Tour AD I-65 Type 2 ( 72g. 2.7 tq ) 299.00 Shipped! 3. serious! .....w505 looks sweet, but im just wondering how do you compare the feel in comparrison to the viq.....? sorry lpga slightly off topic! my bad In regards to feel I like the 505, not as loud, more one piece but please remember it is a smaller head and it seems to me the bigger they get the more awful they sound/feel.
  4. I honestly think the old X-blades were quite more forgiving than the new model. The new 05's remind me of the MR-23 blades, great to work but a terror if your ball striking is off. In regards to ViQ 450 vs the W505, The ViQ is more forgiving on shots missed on toe to heel while the 505 had a deeper face and will help you on shots hit low or high on the face. The ViQ was longer with the W60 for me than the 505 was with the Diamana. Whats odd is the stock stiff Srixon shaft is giving methe best results so far, so good im not sure if I want to put the Axiv in her yet...
  5. WOW Great Find Roberto! I now see what TS is gonna do, squeeze out every size possible. I dont think it will end at 435cc's and my best guess is that they will hit 450/460 in 3-6 months after the release of this new beauty you have found. I dont know the release date but I will give them a call on Monday to find out the details on it.
  6. 1. Heads are purchased from a Himeji foundry 2. Heads are hand ground then CNC milled for decoration 3. Heads are finished by Kyoei 4. Assembly is done in Tokyo at the Gauge Warehouse I dont know exactly who does the grind work in Japan.
  7. Sorry PRGR just isnt very friendly on custom shaft options. In regards to a 3 wood for you, the Duo Hit has a shallow face and low center of gravity because of the C.F.R.P crown sending the ball higher faster. The X-ST's face is deep and will have a lower trajectory. They both feel great at impact.
  8. not even tempted chris lol......the thought creeped into my head after seeing the fascinating process, but then i headed out to play on the course and ripped my gd's! the miuras definately are much much firmer at impact and far less forgiving! thans for the advice ps.....what is bad about welding the neck on like they do?.......it seems a strange process? Nothing is bad about it that I can put my finger on, Its just the forgiveness factor and feel factor vs that it is made of such a soft steel that leads me to think it has somthing to do with that neck weld. I really dont know.
  9. I agree, Its long, square face, and feels great at impact but only for a player with good ball striking skills.
  10. Never seen one called the "flat" before but here are pics of it:
  11. Havent hit it yet but sure does look good!
  12. IMO this is the best FW out right now, I ordered 2 of these one with the Graphite Design M85 and the other with the standard TXF-55, to my surprise the TXF-55 shaft is working out much better than the M85. The M85 is going too low for me while the TXF is getting perfect carry and roll teamed with my swing. The feel is just solid, distance is better than most as well. Good combo this has been for me and I can highly suggest it.
  13. Sorry for the ugly pics, RC's latest rumor is the C.V Pro Type H, and Type ? Also one new model driver at 450cc's
  14. Pics taken by Toshi@Anserfreak. Release could be early 2006
  15. The Tourstage X-Drive 365 is the latest mode in this new X-Series driver.Rumor has it that there could be an X-Drive 450 or 460cc coming march 2006
  16. I havent been there but I have seen the whole process on TGC and it was pretty cool. If you want to Ho out more let me know, I can get you J-Spec Miuras no problem. What I dont care for is the fact that they weld the neck to the rest of the head. IMO they are more firm at impact than mizunos. My advice as a friend to you is stick with your GD's but if you must change try custom grind mizzys in nickel or I-505's before you go to the miura's. the other choices are softer, more forgiving and not as expensive.
  17. These wedges are both forged but I cant comment on how soft they feel because I have not had them in play yet. They are very expensive at 175.00 + 25.00 Shipping each wedge. If anyone is interested please drop me a PM.
  18. Yes I have seen these but was told they may not make it to production due to player feedback that it felt hard to very firm at impact. I had no clue they were given the green light. You can send pics to [email protected] and I can host them for you.
  19. Good reviews gents! I wish more people had the chance to hit the NC-1's and even the old Muscle backs for that matter. We would have a cult of gauge players here. It is to bad they are so difficult to get. Being that the MP32's are a blade I would compare them against the MB2's instead of the NC-1. The MB2 is a cavity back but will setup like a true blade. The top line is thinner than the NC's and the offset less, even though there is not much offset of the NC's to start with. I don't have my MB2s shafted yet so I don't know but I do have absolute faith in gauge irons since the creation of the 2003 CB, even those kicked major butt. I too have had MP32's in custom grind and normal retail. I liked both versions, I consider the 32's easy to hit when compared to other domestic blades but not as forgiving as the recent Neo blade craze in Japan. The feel of the retail model is hard when compared to the Nickel finish custom model yet the GD Irons are softer than both no matter what shaft you are using. If I was forced to put gauge irons down and play mizzys it would be the 32s with a custom grind for a lower center of gravity which I could guess were about 10-15% more forgiving than the retail model I had.
  20. The 130gram version sir. My favorite with that head weight. BTW how is she treatin ya?
  21. The new Tour56 ball kicks major butt! Here is a peak inside: The new Japan only ERC Hot ball, they claim this ball is best used with the ERC HOT/FT-3/X-18 for optimal carry and distance:
  22. :wah: Sold out and I don't know when they will be back in stock. This ball should be illegal! Distance was normal but spin around the greens was phenomenal and very soft as well. The thing that stood out the most about these was the lack of spin when using my driver and hybrids. the ball just wants to go straight which leads me to its biggest drawback, I couldn't work the ball from right to left as well as I could with others. All in all when playing on a tight course I wish to play the X8...now If only mizuno will produce more
  23. The PP adjust is an older shaft but all of NS Pro's putter shafts are top notch putter shafts that make heads feel slightly heavier while absorbing vibration. I havent tried the new UST shaft but got 3 on the way and I am eager to put them to the test.
