I dont have exact specs on hand but I can tell you the topline is very thin and the heads are small with almost no offset. I suggest these for a player with great ball striking skills.

Anyone ever hear of this finish? Its a test finish on a set of custom grind combo irons I just recieved. It was an error because I actually ordered just normal nickel and had the option to return it for what I wanted but decided to just keep it because I have never seen another finish like it. They all look very much the same but in natural light the gold stands out. ( will post better pics next week )

They are done! I ended up selecting chrome and they should be in my hands in about 7-10 days. I will post pics as soon as I get them. -
Golf Classic - Japanese Amateur Equipment. Which Edition ??
TourSpecGolfer replied to Ballz's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
If you have friends in japan who can start a subscription for you then im sure they will ship it to the U.S. The best way would be to order it from a Japanese book store. The subscriptions are 10 times the price of what normal magazines cost in the states. -
Thx FAQ, Its actually my home now in Isola Vicentina.

Yes it does. Looks a bit like it, but in design it is much different. Shape of the face, Shape of the putter profile from above and the inside design has weight that goes all the way around the rear. Its the original Tubu with a cut out on the top to make it much more visually pleasing to the eye.

I suggest balls you can find at your local pro shop. If ya got money to burn or a need to try somthing new go for it. I really like the Hx56 and before that the HX Tour. Dont expect much of a difference unless your a really good player. I do find that certain drivers match up with particular balls better but I have yet to stick to one driver on one ball long enough to figure out whats right for me.

Golf Classic - Japanese Amateur Equipment. Which Edition ??
TourSpecGolfer replied to Ballz's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I am awaiting my scanner to arrive in the mail. I will post pics of the best bags for I get all the latest mags even the weekly ones. Just sit tight guys and I will fill the void you have for Japan spec bag images. oh yeah and FYI the october Issue of GC has pro's bags not amatuers. I really like to look at what the pros in Japan play because they are not full contract like the U.S players. For example Nike, the players in the U.S are strongly urged to play the latest equipment ( full bag ) where as in Japan you see many mixed bags on the JPGA, and that is what this is really all about, finding what works best and using it. -
difference between iomic X Grip and the iomic M60?
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Dont know to be honest, All the top players in Japan use the X-Grips and so do I. Great stuff so ima stick with them. I use it in all my clubs 1 - LW. -
27.50 each shaft + shipping. If you can find shafts only at a lower price from a dealer I will price match them or better it.

Golf Classic - Japanese Amateur Equipment. Which Edition ??
TourSpecGolfer replied to Ballz's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
September and October are great issues for Amatuer bag pics!. I must say that Golf Style is much better, In Japan Golf Classic is known to have old images of bags that are currently outdated. -
Sorry Matt, They dont do refinishing. I do suggest Black Oxide services or contacting Scratch Golf for another black finish. If Satin, I dont know many good plating services in the U.S.A. perhaps you can PM Joe Kwok and ask his advice on a good satin service.

Great you asked, I play these balls and simply adore them. I rank them in this order: ( For my swing ) 1st: X-01H....why? because Im a picker who hits down on the ball and gets enough back spin as is. The H is a low spin ball that is a tad harder than the S but similar in fell to the normal X01. 2nd: X-01S....why? because on hard greens I really appreaciate the way it stops, of all three it has the softest feel, It dont spin to much and this ball reminds me of a better feel PROVx. 3rd: X-01....why? Its very similar to the normal PROV but performs longer with about the same amount of spin for me. Hope this helps and these balls are the reason why titleist had to change the technology on the original PROV1X and release the not as good version stamped " New "

When your ready drop me a PM. I agree, after hitting the MP-60's I wasnt to thrilled, they didnt pack the same great stuff as the 32's.

I suggest the 1150 in Stiff for you if your a big fan of the PX6.0 as I was. The 1150 is the best shaft I have hit to date, Its got good weight, it doesnt hit to high and just feels great. I suggest this shaft for those who didnt care for the 850, 950, or 1050. I didnt get along to well with those three but so happy I gave the 1150 a chance. If anyone needs them I got um shaft only.

Yes I had the MB's in the bag before the NC-1's they are the same great stuff. Same shape as the machine made NC-1's but with a topline 1mm smaller. The long Irons are a dream to hit, and I would say the MB's are about 20% less forgiving than the NC1's which makes them still more forgiving than the majority of players CBs on the market. Same soft feel and I cant reccomend any MB more highly and these are even difficult for me to get so I havent been selling many in late due to the wait.

2006 M2AL Prototype by Gauge Japan
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Its forgiving when hit on the insert and is for players that are good to decent putters, I would not suggest these types of mallets for high handicap players or putters. The great thing about having tungsten in the face is it eliminates head twisting allowing you to hit the center of the insert more often than you would without the ingots. The extra added weight of having two 20g tungsten ingots makes it very easy to pull back and let go without the putter head speed decreasing. -

TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
All the mallets with tungsten, 3RTNC inserts, and an SS303 body completely made in Japan cost much more than your average putter. The tungsten ingots run 100.00 each if done aftermarket. The cost for this 4xIngot putter is 399.00. I highly suggest center shafted putters for those with a straight back and straight forward putting stroke. Looks like a boom box doesnt it :surprize: -
Gauge Design Japan " Pro Requested Model "
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The aluinsers act and remind me of putters with a floating slit and this model was requested by a JPGA pro without the aluinser which gives it a more one piece lower pitch vibration during impact. The reason why they did a run of 100 is because of the reaction on the putting green and the amount of players that took to this putter after just a few rolls. Its really a great design and has a crisp muted feel at impact with the 3RTNC face insert and special milling marks. -
Gauge Design Japan " The One "
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
All PM's replied to, Both "The One" and "Balde" roll better than the honeycomb face IMO, the best words I can use are a similar roll to the YES putter face with an incredible soft feel. I rank the "Balde" and "The One" the same in performance but enjoy the shape of "The One" much more. -
Its just under 360g's I am told and I am selling them for 275.00 shipped. I only have a couple left and they will be gone, gone, gone very soon I predict.

Very happy you have them in hand and I hope you like them as much as I love mine!

anyone used the Zomo Z-Zero mallet
TourSpecGolfer replied to languidcrane's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The old zomo putters I did not like at all, they felt very cheap and clicky, the new models which are more expensive feel awesome, they have an dura-aluminum body with an SS303 face insert and 303 rear/side weighting. The Z-Zero you are talking about I would consider large, a tad smaller than the Ping Craz-E putter in comparison.
