I have had a lot of experience with Axiv shafts. They all play stiffer than stated. The 6064 says S/R but has always had a freq that was more firm than stiff.

Not even close! The NC-1s are in a different league than any other Iron on the market...ok maybe the MR-23s are in the same bracket but even those dont compare in feel and performance. On a side note, the Gauge MB2's will soon be shafted. I was wrong about them being considered Muscle Backs, GD says they are top player cavity back so look forward to a review coming up soon.

Outside Pics of NC-1's / Definitely a Bit Better
TourSpecGolfer replied to dcc14's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes 1150's in stiff soft stepped sounds perfect. I was a PX6.0 kinda guy until I tried the 1150 in stiff, Its a tad softer and far better. -
Trying to Decide on Hybrids: Help!!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to BigEasy's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I agree with you Godfather, I have hit the 220i but still waiting for the CX. You have it right, its basically irons vs woods and which you hit better. -
Opinions needed Miura CB1005 vs. Miura CB201
TourSpecGolfer replied to mobonic's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I have heard the same thing, and havent seen the difference when hitting both side by side. IMO If thats the best Iron Miura has made, then the entire line is stuck at decent. -
Gauge Design Japan " Pro Requested Model "
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It rolls the same but doesnt feel the same, the one is softer by a little. I have hit all of the new mallet models, They all roll the same and come down to what fits your eye and will ease your mind best. I love the weight of these and the more crisp feel I get. Dont get me wrong "the one" will be in the bag again, Its just I always switch from anser to neo mallet or normal mallet and vice versa when one goes stale for a bit. Head Weight is close to 360 grams price is 399.00 shipped. -

TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Had the most amazing 2 rounds with this putter and it has put my "The One" on the bench! -
If your interested in Steel you can special order it with the M Series Steel spec shafts that are rated by swing speed M40, M43, M46. They feel great very nippon like. PRGR stock graphite is also very good.

ELDIK Players Help Me Out -- Compare Models
TourSpecGolfer replied to a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The dream eldik for me would be the original model with a 3RTNC face in a black finish like the new SP. Actually from the top view the best shape IMO was the Eldik Ace, I just didnt like the hollow body. I suggest those that have an eldik with the SS303 weight piece in the rear send it to joe or paul and they can remove that piece and add some lead tape into it. The eldik at 360-370 grams feels amazing. As a stock putter I take the Eldik M. I do have one for sale in 9.9 condition. -
What is the GD equivalent of Speeder 553
TourSpecGolfer replied to forgedcrazy's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I hate to say this, but looking at the spec of the 553 , I would have to say UT55. The only different is the torque of the UT55 is a bit higher, but that doesn't mean anything to much IMO. The heavier version would be either the UT65 or the PM702J or Tour AD I 65. Just my 2 cents! Joe Kwok  Joe how does a utility shaft work and play in a driver? I have never tried that before but am always looking for somthing to mess with. -
Opinions needed Miura CB1005 vs. Miura CB201
TourSpecGolfer replied to mobonic's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
They are basically the same club. they feel and play the same etc.. take a look at the new models on the Japan miura website I hear they are much more forgiving. -
ELDIK Players Help Me Out -- Compare Models
TourSpecGolfer replied to a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Of all the Eldiks, I have 2 favorites, The original retail model released just after the "TOUR" versions in 2003 and most of all the Eldik M. Its the softest and best rolling eldik i have had. -
New Nike products hit Japan Dec. 1st
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The rumor now is 2 new Japan only drivers being unveiled at the Tokyo Golf Fair Feb 2006. -
FYI guys, when installing Iomic grips make sure to use a light thinner instead of harsh. If you use straight up paint thinner there is a chance the grip will dry then begin to crack.

What is the GD equivalent of Speeder 553
TourSpecGolfer replied to forgedcrazy's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I would say its the M65 the two are very close, IMO the M65 plays tighter and will role more. The W60 is similar also yet has more torque than the 553. -
Nike has some new gear coming to the Japanese market Dec. 1st 2005. The Nike Sling shot TOUR irons with reduced offset, a new 3-D C.O.G technology, and smaller topline will be released along side the new spec Sling shot OSS that has a new face design which increases the sweet spot to nearly all of its face. Two new Hybrids will be released called sling shot utilities one labelled TOUR.

The performance will be very similar between the two sets, The NC's are unbeatable IMO yet the MB2 is based off the same shape and a similar design with the same great feel. You could use them as a combo or sell the one you dont like.

Coming November: Diamana Red Graphite Design M55 Graphite Design I-65 Type2
-
I already have and they told me March 2006, If its out Dec. 05 all the better. Its all Design with RC, they dont have what I would call new technology in these FW's. FYI they are made in China just like their Irons etc.. Im not a big fan for their FW's but the new S.F.I Iron is pretty decent.
