more pics... M2CAL M2AL M3NAL M4AL "The One" Tubu Black

I believe the only differences are the 2 Tungsten weights and the face insert. It looks very similar but the face shape is different and other subtle design differences along the tungsten and insert.

I have had the robax in an ERC HOT, Honma 420RF, and Tourstage F-ST+ Fairway wood. My favorite results were with the honma, it seemed to decrease the spin a bit more than most fuji shafts have done for me in the past. What the rombax did most for me was slow down and improve my tempo. Its a tight shaft and I would say it has a medium trajectory, lower than my axiv "M" shafts and the majority of older fuji's. Its a very solid shaft and damn sexy with its tourspec graphics.

The Limited Edition Eldik-GDO 1/100
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Sorry bud, these are gone gone gone :wah: -
I currently have both in the bag so I hope this helps. The ViQ's face is shallow when compared to the UX2, making it fly higher and land softer IMO. The feel of the ViQ seems softer at impact and overall the club feels both loud & mute/soft. I desire the feel of a perfectly struck shot with the ViQ over the UX2. The UX2 is more accurate IMO and tends to fly straighter and lower probobly due to its deeper face. The head feels heavy, solid and one piece to me. I use it from just about every lie with good results, if the rough is deep I would choose the ViQ.

What is a really solid feeling driver?
TourSpecGolfer replied to Godfather1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I play the ViQ 450 w/W60 its an awesome club, I also have the FT-3, ERC HOT, X-18, X-Drive 405, Mizuno JPX, and R7XR. Of all of these clubs I suggest the ViQ 450 and R7-XR The ViQ is not a muted tourstage sound but it does have a muted feel if that makes any sense, its loud for a tourstage driver but you can feel more of the turbo rubber effect with the VIQ over the X-Drive and also its really long and easy to hit. FYI the ViQ 450 is USGA conforming, the R7-XR is the #1 Driver on the womens Japan tour. Both really solid clubs. -
Tourstage X=Blade 2 irons....Any reviews??
TourSpecGolfer replied to tincup975's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The MP-32s are more forgiving. I suggest the XB2 for great ball strikers and single digit players. They are just a tad more forgiving than the MR-23 blades. Very little offset with a very thin top line. The long irons are kind of easy to hit for real players blade. -
What is a really solid feeling driver?
TourSpecGolfer replied to Godfather1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The X500 would be the best in terms of feel but that sucker is tiny and has outdated technology IMO. The X-Drive2 365cc would be my pick but keep in mind its a players driver, square face with a medium trajectory and mid center of gravity. -
What is a really solid feeling driver?

The smaller the head the better it will feel in most cases. I notice many of you are mentioning Taylormade drivers, that would be considered poor feeling IMO. To know what solid is you would need to hit clubs such as the X500, J340, RX-1, X-Drive etc.. Tourstage has the best feel at impact but as the heads get bigger they start to feel more and more like TM's and other drivers, a good example of this would be the ViQ series. At this moment there are not many solid feeling drivers on the market. The X-Drive 365 would be the best feeling new club available. Solid to me means muted not loud with no hollow feel at impact with lots of substance behind the ball. of U.S domestic equipment Titleist and Bridgestone feel pretty decent -
Don't know till the OEMs release new info. Many of the products like the X-ST, W505, I505, X-18 w/ Diamana are not even released yet. So there ya go. Big releases are always announced late February.

Its the whole thing that they are the only Titleist miura forged iron made. They were gone in JPN in a matter of days at 5000.00 each. They also made a Nike JDI driver, the original nike driver tiger started with based off of the Tourstage X500 in a cherry wood box for 2500.00 1 of 15 or somthing like that.

There are two versions of this iron the T stamp and the T-###/500 stamps, The T stamps are made in China and have no grind difference than retail while the T 001/500 stamps are made by Miura and have actual grind differences. If yours are the real deal T-001/500 stamps done by Miura I will take them for your asking price. Are they?

Ok while many of us await our MP60's there are thousands of them being sold heads only in Singapore, China, and Taiwan with no serial #'s 300 -600 $USD. I contacted Mizuno Japan and asked where the 60's are made and they stand by the MP series being made in Japan. My customers in Asia tell me these are top quality and are indeed forged. Anyone got some info?

Japan import 3 wood and utility....how to decide
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Dont know to be honest, I would guess the same as most hybrids on the market. -
In Japan ansers are not popular at all. The Mega and Eldik series is VERY popular there while in the U.S the hot seller is the Balde anser model. slant necks are an even smaller market in Japan. I do know they have a slant neck model coming for G-Field when it hits the U.S but im not sure when that is and I doubt they will make it for the Japan market.

Japan import 3 wood and utility....how to decide
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I have yet to test the new Tourstage X-ST but im going to get one anyway. I can strongly suggest with confidence the Mizuno UX2. The U.S version CLK is made in China while the Japanese UX2 is made in Japan, the differences are night and day and you can tell by just looking at it or bouncing a ball off of its face, this is by far the best UT I have ever hit so im sticking with it. I play mine with the NS.950 shaft in 20* and it flys about 215 straight, i have tried it with graphite and didn't have as good results in regards to accuraccy. This is one club I swear by, I also have the ViQ U5 its great but has a graphite shaft attached and I need to put an NS 750 in it to get the accuracy i desire. -
yes they can buddy, check this out: http://www.tourspecblog.com/2005/06/gauge-...c-1-forged.html ://http://www.tourspecblog.com/2005/06...1-forged.html the shape of the MB's and CB's are the same, the topline is 1mm more on the CB. They blend pefect.
-
I have been playing the machine made NC-1 version for many months now and I must say they are the best CB's I have EVER hit, better than the MR-23 CB, Srixons, TM's by Miura etc etc... I purchase one of every Japanese club and also the U.S domestic clubs that get rave reviews, nothing compares not even custom mizunos. For those of you who think im just trying to push my product....I cant even get the NC-1s anymore, the back order is too large in Japan. They are by far the best feeling and most forgiving players CB available.

New Fuji Rombax on the Horizon?
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I am only able to get these proto's at a high cost of 475.00 + shipping. I dont think any shaft is worth that much. I am told this is a new rombax not the proto of the old. I am currently on vacation in Italy but we have staff in Japan and Hawaii that has been handling sales and customer service questions. -
No update yet... In regards to the XB2 vs the XCB they are two different animals, blade vs CB. Dont get the XB2 if your not a great ball striker these blades are for good single digits IMO. X-CB is good kinda large, I would reccomend the Srixon I505's over the CB, Its about the same forgiveness but with a more player profile. Very good set of Irons one of the best I have seen this entire year.
