  1. ahhhh,... I think I get it. The Irons with the T stamp are in question here. I have only seen woods in the JDM mags with the T###'s. Learn something new everyday, but really who cares, why buy something if the validity of the product is already in question. everyone knows the TM Japanese Miura 300 forged Irons were the best Irons that TM has ever made.
  2. TourSpecGirl has the highest end model white and yellow black flag version if your interested. She said she wanted a smaller bag anyway, this one is 9.5" drop her a PM if interested.
  3. Correct! Only MP series can be made custom. The MX-23 is not available in Japan because the MP-27 was selected instead.
  4. OK, I did some reading up on this subject that I don't know much about but here is my take... Not all T stamps are made by Miura, in fact the majority are not, only the old Japan release stuff is for sure, other than that some Authentic Tour Issue stuff is but even this year in Tokyo TM's top told me they have no dealings with Miura anymore. My best guess is the TM Rac CB Japan release was the last of the Miura forged TM product. Am I on the right track here? Who says Miura is still making for TM? I read a little bit about the T stamps supposedly meaning T=Trash because the specs are all out of whack. Thats a tuff one to believe IMO. We should gather as many Tour TM T stamp sets as possible and get them weighed and checked, if the result is something like 50% + of them having defective specs then the trash theory might not be to far off. also It wouldn't hurt to start a thread that has high quality close up images ( maybe magnify option on your digi cam ) of the T stamp #'s and we can put them on file in a thread to help others distinguish the differences and what the truth really is. I agree with this! I have JDM Mags with T#### stamps in them. That tells us a lot. and this thread should be deleted because it seems to be off the wall speculation.
  5. Your combo will have different top lines, soles, bounce etc... and the MP is grain flow forged vs the S-30V being 1025 forged normal. it wont feel like 1 set. Get a purely flowing set with the custom grind option that we offer, same top line, sole, shape, offset and more.
  6. We are gonna take screen shots of this coming Tourney, Its a very cool setup for those of you who have never played poker online before. The graphics are great and you are able to select your character. Its just fun having a table full of other well known members, talking trash and winning some cash! I think about 20-30 entries will play in this one, that means we are almost to the 50 point, as soon as their are 50 players the prizes jump up to Irons and Drivers etc.. If somehow we ever get to 200 players, This poker thing will be too crazy and fun to resist, Huge prizes on a weekly basis.
  7. Sorry in advance for my rant... TOUR....Please! 90% of the Tour Issue clubs are still the same ol mass produced retail batch post production modified for a particular player clubs. I don't suggest 95% of the Tour stuff out there unless I know who got it where & exactly. I only really trust one Internet Tour seller and thats Whataplayer. Its fact that you can get Chinese/Taiwan Tour Heads from the manufacturer before it gets to the Co that orders it, with T stamps galore. That is why callaway does finishing touches in the U.S and Honma installs all golden emblems in Japan and keeps the final touches away from the factory. Knowing that info, why would anyone believe all this stuff is authentic Tour? I'm positive its not. There are more non authorized heads in the market than their are authentic tour Issue. There are people who can get 200 R7 tours Heads at a time for 150.00 each with T#'s. , these guys are the power players in this game, they are most often Asia employees that have factory access, funny thing is you are not allowed to enter these factories with shirts with pockets or bags to prevent steeling so its obvious its coming from a higher level, which i already know it is. I say if you want Tour TM, buy a TP! We were already told by the VP of TM that its 100% the same except for post production mods. I would believe the Vice Pres of TM over some Toad on another site. Taiwan has the biggest Driver factory in the world, a ton of top companies use this factory. Has anyone noticed the abundance of products that are made in Asia that are Tour Issue? Its mostly Drivers and FW's that makes sense because the most leaks are coming from the factories that make the woods. thousands fall for it and it perplexes me, to top that off it ends up being retail at 400$ 6-months later. Currently the new rescue, V-Steel2 and R5 Tp are scheduled for production at the factory, I heard they just finished the R7-XR's for Japan. This is exactly why I stay out of the Tour business, my connections are too tempting, why buy an R7 tour for 500-1000 when i can get the heads at 150-200 each. It don't make sense, I also stay away because i don't want Marshall's at my door. Funny part is many will read this and still buy more tour :-D I have customers who will buy a 1600.00 mass produced TM driver and then complain to me about the price on an 800.00 JDM Driver that is made better, with better shaft options in less quanity with more attention to detail :o I dont even want to begin to talk about what how some OEMS use the word proto now days
  8. only 3 rules apply: 1. The clubs must have an M stamp or the Mizuno text on it. 2. The sole # must be present 3. The grain flow forged on the neck stays. other than that you can do initials and move anything around, you can have empty M stamps or filled in any color anywhere on the back of the club head. etc. Check out this thread: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...+custom+mizuons
  9. Finish will wear, sole and hitting area of course. every six months gun blue the set, every 3 months put a few drops of cooking oil on it. It will stay looking great for a long while. The non plated mizuno Irons feel extremely good.
  10. Good Stuff, Sorry its not loud, you may have to turn the volume up. It was taped from when Paris Hilton's phone was hacked, its a very steamy conversation between the two. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/lindsayphone.html
  11. They Work for me! I have two setups with them, 3 & 5 with M-85 shafts and the 4 & 7 with DG X100 soft step. If its not windy i will take the 3 & 5, when it is windy or the course is very tight I take the 4 & 7 for accuracy. The top profile looks better than the BBD type H IMO, These are long and forgiving the only thing that could use a little improvement is the sound. I have hit the Tour version that is foamed with a different leading edge grind, it was too player for me. The standard version puts all others to shame if you have the shaft that best fits you. Retail on the right side...
  12. I dont deserve a cent from this guy, My guess is he pre-ordered the R7-XR from me and changed his mind so he is trying to sell and hopping to get tour prices of 1000+ Im surprised you tried the R7-XR yourself when its not released yet even to U.S reps. I have hit the Dual TP and R7-XR, the XR is longer and much easier to hit... IMO The Nike DFI+ puts them both to shame Feel, Distance, and forgiveness.
  13. Thank You Darrell Survey! Even more thanks to Precision for all his killer pics, posts, and quality information.
  14. Hmmm, 94% at only 15 sales. He takes my pics from the Tokyo Golf Fair... He takes everyone of our pics from the catalog.. The product isn't released for another few weeks and his auction ends tommorow... :-D I wonder what he is up to...
  15. Its almost impossible to track a new Tour Gauge Japan putter until a pro requests a new design and I am lucky enough to secure the backup copy. Usually only 1-3 are made of each model, the player gets one and the manager usually snags the backup for later. I sold 2 in 2004, I would like to buy them back if the buyers read this thread. Here are the two I want back: My take on T.P mills putters, The feel is outstanding, very soft due to the material, it has a more rounded look so your gonna have to choose what you like best based on your preferences. The average golfer will like a forged putter over Stainless steel due to its softer feel. Material, design and overall polish of the finished product should and could be better. They are using 1025? Forged Carbon Steel, For High End Tour quality putters its usually SS303, SS304, or GSS. I am not sure how much R&D is involved, I have seen some custom T.P putters that are not totally symmetrical and balanced. I know they have their own science about counter balance, It just all seems a little too eye balled for me. Listen to your eye...lol if thats possible :-D
  16. OMG! Is that what you use to clean the fire place?

  18. Sounds like your on the search for the Ultimate set, it could be hard to beat come contest time. Hmmm, Ultimate putters... There are a small hand full of people ( not companies ) that have the magic touch IMO. S.C, G.T, RJB, D.W, T.P, and K.B to name a few :-D It cant be the retail stuff, It must be made by the particular persons hands and when working at such a high level of craftsmanship they usually only do the pro's putter's. Take the best materials and design and put the best hands on it and you will get  IMO true protos are not a good idea, the true essence of a prototype to the manufacturer is a test run version. I personally dislike when a putter maker makes unnecessary proto's for $$$ it takes all the real validity away from the authentic ones. I'm pretty sure every company has done it. I already know you like Anser putters but do you know what shape exactly you prefer? #1 #2 #3 Do you know what type of face milling you like? Milling marks will ultimately affect the vibration and feedback you get from your putter. Do you like GSS, SS303 or 304, SM490A, or Forged Carbon Steel? Finish?, Sight aids, shaft, grip, loft, lie, and head weight? Here is what I would choose based off what I know: - Putter made hand made by George Takei - Anser shape like Pic #1 - Made of SM490A steel - Dirty Silver finish - Crazy Milling marks - 345g - NS Pro 130g Shaft - 4.5* of loft - single sight line
  19. I think its released the first week of April, i will let you know when exactly soon.
  20. Bernard, I give you the award for the biggest Ho of all the under 18 crowd. You have a set of the Proto Cb's already, how do you like them and why do you feel you need the blades? What company has the finish you like best? What club looks best to your eye that you have seen pics of? Is resale value important to you? There are more companies than you may think who do totally custom work: Scratch Golf Co. ( 1018 Himeji ) Blade Golf Co. ( Miura ) Traditional Golf Co. ( 1020 Himeji ) Mizuno Custom Grinds ( Japanese S25C grain flow forged ) So TSG and its sponsors got you covered!
