Gauge Japan 2005 Tokyo Golf Fair!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
LOL That is bad spelling for Blade Iron, MB's is what i was trying to say. -
Personally, I don't think the two heads "fit" together for a mixed set. Different toplines & sole grinds. I'm not a mixed set type of guy, though. My suggestion for you would be the get the 32s. That is why you order them with all the same offset, top line, and sole grinds. 2-Tier and even 3-Tier combos are available with the same profiles. 1250.00 covers normal custom mizzy's and 1499.00 is for the TSG adjustable profile version. I have some killer club/spec suggestions to anyone who is interested in shelling out the cash for these. I have ordered two sets for myself and know of about 5 different setups that are to hot to handle.

27's = very forgiving for a semi players CB. 32's = very forgiving for a blade. The 27s are more forgiving but the 32's are more rewarding on pure hit shots. I suggest you go with the 32's if you are single digits and a good ball striker, if not try the 27's. Any way you choose the Mizuno customs should make you a very happy man.

I have used dozens of strange high end tee's and none of them work noticeably. I use regular wooden tee's but if I have Tourstage Wing Tee's "long" in my bag, I will use them. The fancy complicated tee's just throw me off. I have seen results that they do work a little though.

Im curious of the same also. anyone?

Im surprised to see so many old drivers in the Dream Driver thread. I would figure it would be somthing new, Tour, expensive or just 100% tweaked out. A lot of people are just posting their current Drivers. :tired: A few more I can add to my list: - Bridgestone 380cc proto w/ GD W60 - Nike JDI Tiger Driver w/ Diamana Stinger limited - TM R5 Dual TP w/ Axiv M604 shaft - X-Drive conforming 340cc w/ GD M75

I kinda agree, the 970 is small and not the easiest club to hit, feels good, nice low trajectory but still nothing i would consider easy to use due to its size.

Sorry there are pics of all the irons and some proto's as well as the guts of the clubs in the Video. could be the case, they came out really strong this year at the show.
-
Chris, I have 3 questions. First, do the .83 r7 Japan heads also have SP7000 faces? Is there any rumor on releasing the R7 Shallow & R5 Dual TP to retail this year. Finally, any word on a Monza VT centershaft. BTW, great report & truly awesome pics!!! 1. I dont know to be honest 2. I thought the R7 Shallow is the R7 HT? and they said no release on the Dual TP yet and probobly never. 3. Japan has a VT center shaft coming in April

Yamaha at the Tokyo Golf Fair
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I put these in the top 5 of best Irons at the show. They remind me of a much better feeling more players version of the Pro Combos, the diamond looking cavity fill is different on the long irons than the short. As I said over a year ago these irons are sweet, with this new model out and having been able to hit them, its the same deal this year. -
No way Sir... FYI guys the new Japanese callaway stuff is coming April 1st. For those of you with slower swing speeds and who enjoy NS pros the Memphis 10DB is a killer shaft only found on Callys. Its variable flex so be careful your not to fast of a swinger.
-
Sorry guys I thought i took pics of the Japan only CraZ-E. Its in the video. It has a black insert that provides more distance on shorter puts with a longer rebound. It was available in Center shaft, plumbers neck and a few other neck options. This Tour Driver is available in 8,9, & 10 degree lofts, with every Graphite Design Shaft option and stock japan ping models.

If anyone wants to order, its a small process of fax's and E-mails to make sure that we are on the same page. They can do all your requests except for the TC shafts. Yes, you have a choice of the Satin, Nikel, Chrome, flat black or shinney black. Yes combo's are not a problem drop me a PM when your ready!

2005 Royal Collection.....collection
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Them rumors are wrong, I was told its all made in China, I am told RC has a huge problem with Non authorized heads shipping to the U.S from the factory. Its the growing trend recently... :wah: When I asked about the heads on ebay they said the only company that gets heads only is sonartec and if there are brand new heads only of RC its not authentic, they said they make no Tour Issue FW's its all retail spec'd out for the pro's so be careful of anyone who tells you they got a Tour BBD head for sale. I saw a pic(on another site, which you probably know of) of what claims to be a "tour" head Royal Collection BBD type H 14* three wood. Are you saying that it is definitely not a "tour" club, and is just being sold as such? If that is the case, I don't know who to believe anymore...this was easier when I just liked retail stuff. :smile2: I was told there is no Tour Issue RC's. I was told by the top guy at RC they don't make different heads for the tour, they don't stamp them different and all the pro's get is a hand picked head from the retail batch. Any so called Tour Issue's they claim are coming from the factory in China, they don't sell heads only to anyone except sonartec. -
I have never given them a try so i cant comment on performance. They didn't sell well even though they were priced lower than the satin MP's. I only sold 2 of them. Released in 2004, no hype or ads connected with the release. If I were to guess its a weight slot version? :-D

I was told by TM they are very different. what cha guys think. IMO the shape looks different.
-
Of Course... 289.00 shipped.

Yeah Maru is with Zomo now. I dont like their retail line but the 5 Maru 23 protos they had were wicked. As you do I hope the Maru stuff goes up in value. there are to many of them IMO, and all extremely nice works of art.
-
They range from 400-630.00 in Japan. I can get you any 2005 model you like.
-
Not anymore, Maru's dad sold out and the Maru family dont own any part of crews or Bettinardi Japan. Crews golf told me this last week at the show.
-
Nothing updated. Crews Gold runs bettinardi Japan but seems to always be late with the web updates. So far the only products they still have in stock is the new 2005 stuff. MC-2 MC-3 PX-5 XM-P BB -Series
