  1. New Miura Giken CB1008 Forged Irons and what appears to be a revised PP-9005, not sure what the changes are but looking forward as the current PP-9005 is pretty awesome just in short supply. Sorry these pics are fuzzy. Coming qtr 1 2016.
  2. Best for me has been: ZY11 w/7D Ryoma Special Tune Maxima w/7D ( this is the only shaft to tame this one for me ) Grandista w/ Sanki 70S RomaRo Alpha w/7D control ( one amazingly straight and long club ) Clubs I've hit lately and liked but need to re-shaft for a better evaluation. Katana Voltio III PRGR Super Egg What I want to try next is Maruman's new Vanquish ( on the way :) I want to try Freiheit The-G 460Ti Driver as well. Docus is ugly with a dumb name but the DCD701 is very good even with stock shaft, I think the purests will prefer the 702 model. Lastly is Baldo, they have a new COMPETIZIONE 568 420cc Driver I'm adding to the store this week. not my cup of tea because I like 460 but I love a deep face so it's a must try. Ah yes Ghibli can't forget that one, very straight mid high and long. So much good stuff right now in my eyes, for me I don't want spin and I hit a high ball but since 7D I've been able tame a lot of drivers I otherwise wouldn't be able to hit straight.
  3. There are 2 sets of P2's in the works right now, I hope the owners post them up when they receive them new then later after 3 months or so of play.
  4. Im still in the Honeymoon period but 7D + Jbeam TF-FW is silly long too. dead straight with a mid/high trajectory.
  5. Pardon the delay 777, Modus 105 Stiff Flex. This iron is very very good, near the top of the list right now especially in Yoro flavor.
  6. Best Combos are by Yoro, we can do a lot to match specs, bounce, grinds, lofts, top line, shape, offset, etc... outside of that I agree with others that they don't make much sense overall. I do think #3/4 irons in one type then 5-PW in another is not as bad as three very different types of irons.
  7. TSG is now able to offer refinishing and paint fill done at the Yoro factory to any used Yoro Craft Iron, it's a good option if you own a set and want to bring it back to life.
  8. I found them like numb NSPro's. Not much to say about them, I would suggest something else unless you know a particular model you can hit well.
  9. Great iron to consider guys, setup is phenominal, doesn't feel like it has an undercut, long irons as forgiving as kuros, lofts are fairly traditional. I have hit a retail demo iron and it's very good, I'm sure the yoro's will play even better. Enjoy the pics!
  10. For those who didn't know Globeride inc. formerly known as Daiwa owns ONOFF & Roddio and acquired Fourteen Golf a while back.
  11. A member has these in black boron and they look amazing, it's time for him to post pics ;)
  12. 2-3 times average per round is still plenty in the worse case a couple strokes lost maybe. reliable result low launch/low spin driver w/ very accurate shaft is one solution. the other is a deep faced FW playing slightly long in length, this way your fairway wood may not be as good contact wise off the deck. Bottom line is if your with the TF/Glorious/Alpha expect easy clips off the fairway due to a shallow face sound sole design with more toe/heel forgiveness than most and a higher MOI for straighter shots. Go deeper and the heel and toe real estate starts to pull in and the head gets taller geared toward workability, forgiveness will be closer to center or high and low on the face. this will feel more pure, more rewarding on the perfect struck shot but for most is not the ideal way to save strokes.
  13. I would not go TF or Glorious if you will use it off the tee. Get a club designed for where you need it most.
  14. Perfect! looks great! Glad you got it and sorry they take so long for their custom putters.
  15. Black Boron in Satin Brushed Finish? Never heard of this. Just figure that if it looks different and has a different name its a different finish that uses a different process.
  16. Right now yes, these are not made by Miura but still are very good, I have tried them and it's a very good package of setup & performance, feel is nice surprisingly more spongy than anything else Miura makes, forgiveness and distance is comparable to the 503 and Kuro Forged or VG3. Has the best address view in that undercut semi mid sized class.
  17. Ryoma is best off the tee with it's deeper face and shape. TF & Glorious also good but you can pop it up due to them being shallow.
  18. So the latest AAA has been sold out for a while now but the new Fujikura EVO II series in 661 and 757 have somewhat similar characteristics we have found at a much lower price point ($250)
  19. These are still one of the better CB's to get imo. Called a blade I feel they rival and play like most players CB's winning out in forgiveness and feel.
  20. It's the Jbeam Glorious FW vs RomaRo Alpha vs Ryoma D1 FW vs Jbeam TF-FW right now for the best shallow faced forgiving high launch easy to hit category. Customer feedback from just about all of these has been overwhelmingly positive.
  21. I had a super egg single iron and installed a steel shaft+shim then added a tip weight and lead tape on the head for D6, it was pretty amazing how long and straight it was a totally reliable result that I'm sure would save me strokes. UD+2 is of a similar flavor.
  22. Satin Boron is like a soft brushed satin with a slightly gold hue to it. The process is completely different from satin copper. satin boron:
