Custom Putter Help?!?!?!?!?
The tool you can use for this slit is "slitting or slotting saw" or "narrow width slotting cutter". You want to use a cutting wheel diameter 1 1/2" at least and start w/ a 1/32" blade width, increase the width and closer to the face to get louder sound but I wouldn't get wider than 1/16". You don't need a good one for this one/two time/s project, It's around $25 for the tool. If you have a sturdy Drill Press and Sliding Vise on it you can do it your self w/ a very slow rate, Pour cutting liquid slowly but generously as you slide the table. Check every now and then to make sure you got the right start and end spot. Good luck! joe

boring out driver hosel to sit open?
To get an Open face angle, The top of the hosel should tilt toward to the face/slightly heel and the bottom of the hosel should tilt the opposite ( back/slightly toe ). However, i found this technique a bit harder to keep the shim at the right spot when you push it in when glueing. What i do ussually reem the hosel to an open angle w/ 350 reemer ( or even 370 if i have to ) and make a home made shim that cover all around the it to make sure it'll fit tightly. The other problem is that your ferrule will not sit flush on top of the hosel. You either have to trim it to the right angle or melt it to get the right tight fit on top of the hosel. If you want to get it right is not quite simple IMO. Good luck! Joe

boring out driver hosel to sit open?
It can only be done w/ a carbite reemer and if you have enough hosel thickness. Joe

Something is in my club head !!!!
Most likely the clubmaker drop the plastic plug inside the head.Gotta pull the shaft out again and start digging, blowing, shaking and sucking. :smile2: Till the piece come out. Hope the piece is small enough for you to get it out. Be care full w/ this head not to use to much heat due to a graphite fiber construction. In fact It could also be a piece of epoxy form the bonding of the graphite and the titanium body. Uh Scarry! :surprize: Joe

Help!
Do you know that inside the trunk can reach over 250* on a 100* outside the trunk? A hair dryer alone can melt and move the rat glue.just my 2 cents ! joe Joe, I hear you on the heat and glue slide. Always respect your opinion. I did not post to debate cost. I justed posted as an option to your work - plus allot of builders use that "stuff". If I new from the get go that my raw duffy would work out and I had the patience to wait - It would have been sent your way. Mike is not your only big fan - you have a great rep. and are always kind enough to respond to questions. Thanks :smile2: No worry at all! I'm not trying to be neat picking here, I'm just trying to give you a head up about rat glue issue. I never have an issue about my cost, I only have 2 hand to work on the club anyway...I can't handle more that i got now, unless i can hire an employee who got the same quality of my work w/ a reasonable salary that i can afford. However if i do find one, do you think he'll work for me and if he does...do you think he'll stay loyal?BTW, Most head use only around 3 - 7 grams rat glue which will very likely effect the ball flight ( i doubt it ) but when we added more than that , I would have to say depends where the glue will end up when you took them out of a hot trunk. Today is in the toe and tomorrow is in the heel, next week is in the back,etc...can we get a consistent feel out of it? At least I don't like having some doubt w/ my stick. Again It's only my 2 cents. Bottom line is we are having a healthy and fruitfull discussion, right? joe :smile2: Joe, I am glad you did not take offense. You are always the gent - and always willing to share info. and may I say always correct ( X flex 660 vs. S flex). I will keep the window and sun roof slightly open to my truck. When I win the lotto the lear jet will make a stop by the shop to pick you up  AK Hope I'm not parralize by then. :smile2:

Help!
Funny! :-D most of my long time customers and friends think the opposite, because they've spend less on Hoing and going around picking the wrong stuff or less chances ruining the equipments, etc. :money: And also, due to the amount of work that Mike's gave me, I don't remember I ever charge him for weight adjustment other than reshafting charges only. Mike can verify this and some other stuff that i don't like to bring them up here. :smile1: Anyway, No worry! No offence to me at all Patrick!( hope the same w/ you ) I just want to let every one knows that the more you know me the more you'll understand how I work. I work 2 - 4 hrs a day to serve every body on the forums to let them picked my brain up ( I never expect any appreciation at all on that ) and if i'm full fit condition...i can work only up to 5 hrs a day on the bench. Not to mention I'm willing to call anyone out there in this earth just to discuss their need in equipments info, off course w/ an initial good faith to really work on their club if "necessary". A lot of them can verify this issue for sure. Bottom line is Dollar values or Work & Personal values that people looking for...W/ a more satisfying end result. Reputation always speaks for itself! BTW, It's not gonna be that easy to pry them out from Mike's hand. He will fight till the last drop for sure. :smile2: :D  Joe
