  1. These pictures are both a 5 iron! The blue tape is the exact line of the lehman grind, and i'll put it on the retail to see the exact differences. I moved the blue tape to a retail head on the exact spot. As you can see the toe is the only differences on the face shape. Next pictures are the rest of the angle: As you can see the top line of the lehman grind is slightly thicker, 0.2105 vs 0.1975 on the retail. From this picture you can see that if the concern is the toe shape, The retail heads will be easily grind to a shape of lehman grind shape. From my experiences custom grinding irons, My best estimate the head will lose weight is only 2 swingweight the most ( 4 grams ). On these pictures the lehman grind is a satin finish, I did compare it also w/ the chrome finish...their grind are pretty consistent. So they must have a master template. Hope this pictures will educate some of you who have the interest on this club! Good Luck! Joe Kwok
  2. Since when did you got that gouge on your 4 and pw. Geez ! the face is so damn clean and only those 2 club that ruin the whole rating, however off course it doesn't effect the play at all. Next time you come by, Please bring them w/ you ...see if i can knock it down to make it looks not to obvious. I'll do the same to who ever buy this iron. I'll do my best For "FREE". :) Joe

I have a bad news from Fuji Japan about Fujikura 671 and 761. Due to hi cost labor and material, They've decided to stop the production on these two shafts. To bad! These two shaft are in my highest list for a very high perfomance shaft from Fuji for players who are looking for a very penetrating ball flight. It's hard for me to describe how many of them benefited out of these 2 shaft after reshaft ( off course their decision are after an extended fitting session or discussion ). I'm still in shock w/ their decision. As many of you knows that i hardly hype things up but on this one is a pure and simple fact, Especially who live local here in the bay area who got the taste on these 2 shafts. Just something to share! :) Regards, Joe Kwok

Concentrate on your moving! :) I'll have it ready mid next week, how is that? Okay..okay... 8) That's works for me. Enjoy that sweet course this weekend! D, Your club is done! Call me when you need to pick it up. Joe
  19. No way Z! You know me, I even took all the rat glue inside to make sure the club has no bias. I had this weight tweak to a 14 grams and lost it the day before i play the purest golf course i've ever played. Sucks! I have no choice but to played my back up which i never played it. :x Anyway, Call me when you are ready! Joe:) Jow What does the TP sound like with no rat glue in it ? A little louder! but to the good side, Because if i missed the sweet spot...I will know it right away. More pronounce feed back where i hit the ball on the face. Joe

Here is what i think and my answer to Mike on the pm: a few things come in my mind on this: 1. Muscle back vs cavity back. IMO if both hit dead on the sweet spot...muscle back is still longer than cavity back. 2. Center of gravity which translate to more spin rate on the cavity back. 3. Trajectory. Could be from the spin rate or bounce angle or both, or 4. kick point of the shafts. Combine all the stuffs that i mention : More massive metal behind the sweet spot of the muscle back, Ball flight differences due to different bounce angle, kick point of the shaft...thus translate into ball flight and spin rate of the ball will end up on the distance issue. How ever if the distance control is more consistent, I wouldn't worry too much of 1/2 club shorter. Plus, once you got use to it, result might turn the other way around. Speaking from my own experiences, I'm playing a mix set of cavity on the long iron up to 6 iron and blade 7 down, It shows a better distance control hitting into the wind w/ a blade IMO. I played a lot on a links style course, in fact yesterday was a real good example of a typical windy links style course. At least front nine is worst. Regards, Joe
  24. Joe, Have you seen these? Do you favor the design? The forging? Are they special or just hype because they are so hard to get? I do love the shape of the shorter heel to toe, and the boxey toe! I have two sets here in my shop as i wrote this reply. They are as good as any good forging out there. Special? Maybe, depends how you look at it. Not to me at least! Hard to get!, Maybe, who knows tomorrow TM ask 3 ball or niblick again to throw it in the market. IMO there are a lot more club out there rarer than this. I do love the shape of the shorter heel to toe, and the boxey toe! Well If that is the case, try it if you are willing to pay for it and have the doug to burn it. This is exactly what you are describing. Just be carefull not to buy the one "MADE". Good luck! Joe :)
  25. Pretty ironic since Lehman hasn't won anything in years!!! :P I wonder why is so damn pricey! And I wonder how many sets out there were "made" ?
