2006 G-Field Forged CNC -L- w/PICS!
May be it looks that way due to the camera angle. You're correct that the original forged L has little offset. I'll check the one at home later today.

how to pronounce "Balde"
Good question. Bald-e? or Bald with the silent "e"? or heck any thing you want. This is the closest I can find for the origin of the word: 1297, ballede, probably from Celt. bal "white patch, blaze" especially on the head of a horse or other animal (from PIE base *bhel- "gleaming, white") + M.E. -ede adjectival suffix. The PIE base is also the source of Skt. bhalam "brightness, forehead," Gk. phalos "white," L. fulcia "coot" (so called for the white patch on its head), Alb. bale "forehead," O.C.S. belu "white," Lith. balnas "pale." The proper name Ballard probably means "bald head," cf. Wyclif "Stye up, ballard," where Coverdale translates "Come vp here thou balde heade" [2 Kg.2:23-24, where God kills 42 children for making fun of Elijah's lack of hair.] Bald eagle first attested 1688.

Axiv shaft online shaft selection tool
Mike, You've got my attention with this shaft ... pretty hefty being 78 grams and really low torque. I'll calle my local Fuji dealer and inquire about this shaft.

Bridgestone USA vs. Bridgestone Japan--Differences?
... also, the general golf population is on a decline within last few years due to the 5+ rounds and no new "reasonably price" courses. The cheapest non-muni courses in and around Los Angeles charged $50 on weekday and more on weekend and thus 80% of the weekend players are forced to waited 2+ hours to get on for 5+ hours round. If they don't play or played sporadically, there is no justification to pay for expensive equipment. My 2 cents.

Swingman, How much to tip is a pretty tough question to answer given the purpose of tipping is to optimize the trajectory, carry and total roll of the ball. This is where a good clubfitter earns his money ... the skills to match the shaft and club head to a particular player. For example, player A likes to play to about 260 cpm (cycles per minutes) and wants a Fuji shaft "X" in a TM r7 460cc with the following set up 2-2 & 10-10 and at 45". To achieve 260 cpm, the clubfitter must calculate the weight of the head plus the four weights to the general flex of shaft "X." Assuming that Shaft "X," installed 1 1/2" plays to 45" in this R7 frequencied out to 255 cpm, he now must tip trim the shaft to get to 260 cpm. How much to tip depends on the tip characteristic of the shaft (soft tip or firm tip, flex point, torque, weight, etc). Long story short, get to know at what CPM you're performing at yours best. For me, it is at about 255/258.

COMPUTER VIRUS WARNING
acrazygolfer posted a post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearMicrosoft is warning its customers to make sure they have all their anti-virus protections and updates in place before Friday when a worm is set to activate. The worm, known as BlackWorm (Win32/Mywife.E@mm), corrupts documents, etc. The virus is distributed through e-mail and has many subject header variations, including one that promises Kama Sutra sexually explicit pictures. This Black worm is similar to that in the 1980s and 1990s and was designed by idiots hating Microsoft. Don't open email from sources you are not familiar with or with strange attachment.

How do you measure shaft length?
Depending on the depth of the hosel with resepct to sole. Do a dry run first before gluing.

Cameron Aftermarket Refinishing
In house black oxide by SC is highly unlikely given the toxicity of the chemicals used & permits requirements ... but then you may be correct. What do I know!

How do you measure shaft length?
As a general rule, the length of a club is defined as the line from the base of the sole to the butt of the club. However, this create a problem with the current design with "rocker" sole instead of the "flat" sole in the older irons and drivers. The current OEMs and GolfSmith calculate the distance with the sole flat on the ground (good reason to adjust the lies prior to butt trimming) with an imaginary line from the butt down to the ground. Golfsmith offers a ruler with a hinged straightedge to measure the length. To extend a used steel shaft, you can either: (1) buy an aluminum extension or (2) use an old steel shaft.

Srixon driver question
W505 - The face & crown material is made of 15-3-3-3 ti while the sole is built with KS120 titanium and the body with KS100 titanium. Also there are 3 non-removable tungsten nickel weight ports. W506 - body is built of cast 6AL-4V ti and face is with forged 6AL-4V ti. No visible weight ports. In short, the material used in the W505 is more expensive than the W506. Both are based on Srixon’s proprietary Impact Power Body Construction. The Impact Power Body means there are variations in the wall thicknesses of the face, sole and backwall which result in deformation of the entire clubhead instead of just the face as in traditional drivers. This phenomenon allows longer contact time between ball and club which optimizes launch conditions – low spin with high launch angle. I've hit both and both are good drivers. Think of MBZ AMG versus standard MBZ. Given the recent explosion of construction/development in China, I'm surprise the price of raw titanium has not gone off the scale.

Thanks for the post Rodfern. I think the sequence is opposite since I have a quick tempo, high trajectory and SS of 105/110 and the recommended shaft is the 6564H to low the trajectory. So I clicked 46m/s, then the top ( fast swing tempo) and bottom (low trajectory) and the result is: 6564H As such, it appears the correct sequences are: Swing tempo (top to bottom): fast, medium, slow. Trajectory (top to bottom): high, medium, low.

**UPDATE** PRGR 220i Zoom w/PICS!
This club is now in the bag for the last month or so for me ... stock shaft "s" flex. A nice smooth swing produced a nice little mid to high draw due to the softness of the "S" flex in this shaft. Great 3-iron replacement club.
