  1. any takers on the 3 wood shaft?
  2. I KNEW you'd be ALL OVER the IP Dan........ enjoy!
  3. I would dispute that. I have hit my pro's conforming wedges a number of times on the range and shorter pitch shots and there was a marked difference.
  4. So is it possible to get these with non conforming grooves? I don't understand why manufacturers would only make clubs with 2010 grooves and ignore 99.9% of the market that aren't obliged to conform to this (stupid) rule
  5. Excellent, very useful and highly relevant review as usual gocchin. These wedges look fantastic and a move in the direction I would like to see from Japanese manufacturers in terms of wedge offerings. Any chance these could be provided with non conforming grooves? most of us even for club competition arent obliged to use 2010 grooves for some time.
  6. Likewise, I could never find a hybrid that performed as I wanted. I prefer a 5 wood over a 19* hybrid but use the Epon 901 in 22* as my '3-iron'. The driving iron style produces far better results for me an any 'traditional' hybrid.
  7. Chris, who is forging these for TM?
  8. 3 wood head sold - shaft still available 5 wood still available
  9. That makes sense to me Chris, I think the SX would be comfortable and certainly allow the ball the be turned over more readily and the 80t quality, I imagine, wouldn't be too 'tippy' and wayward for when I go after one on a wide fairway or par 5
  10. Excellent feedback and information Gocchin. I have pretty much always played 75g driver shafts in X-flex. CHS with a comfortable but aggressive swing, call it 80%, is 113. in good form I can crank it up a bit. I was considering the Fire Express 65 which is close to 70g in X & SX. Spin reduction is my main motivation, I launch high. My go to shot is a high fade, the ball cutting 2-3 metres. I would still like to turn the ball over when necessary, which I now need to do 'cause I can't hit it as far as I used to! Would SX be more appropriate than X ?
  11. thanks Chris, I would be interested in knowing the CPM based on a 5" clamp of the fire express 65 X-flex and SX-flex if you know them?
  12. thanks, that helps a lot, my SS at 113 and distance are similar to yours. I have played X-Flex shafts for the past 5 years and was thinking of backing off to S flex but your thoughts have helped me to decide on SX.
  13. Agreed, fantastic feedback, I'm envious of your arsenal! Would you mind letting us know your SS and swing tempo? I'm going to get the Fire express in the next Epon driver released. Chris, I note the comment in the proshop that the CPM measurements are based on a 7" clamp. Does this make the CPM higher or lower compared to 'western' CPM ratings?
  14. Also, in relation to comparing the head mass of both, need to take into account the "scooped out" design of the EGG, whilst it's 165cc, the appearance at address may be comparable? Only hypothesising because I don't own an EGG........yet.
  15. thanks, the Altus LT would suit a variety of heads, results are more to do with the players preference I think.
  16. Hi, I am located in Australia, but happy to send to globally. I have 100% feedback on ebay (arwp072) and have sold on TSG, WRX and BSG before. 17. mmmmm..........stay tuned...............
  18. No surprises from me! My bag will be changing in a couple of months, there's some super stuff coming :) I also like PRGR, Onoff, Yamaha
  19. To me, the AF-Tours are perfect, certainly the nicest blade I've played. I'm not experienced enough with all manufacturers to know where the AF-Tours sit in relation to top line thickness, offset, heel toe length and sole spec. Where ever they sit, that's what my preference is for what its worth. I love the sole grind, I find these 'forgiving' and theyre certainly compact enough to work the ball at will. The KBS tour, IMO, is a perfect compliment. The feel is out of this world. That said, I have not ever seen a 'perfect' blended set, though the custome Mizzy's would be close though the set is multiple models with grinding to appear the same at address. A true flowing set created as such on an iron by iron basis would be a real point of difference. Perhaps with the option of choosing the 'transition' club (from CB to MB) whether that be 6 7 or 8 iron and perhaps a full CB to 'players' CB in the long iron to mid iron transition would give consumers ultimate customisation. Flowing lofts, transitional trajectories matching sole & top line & blade length.....I think I need to lie down..... For me, if I'm throwing my hat into the ring, in Epon speak for illustration purposes...... 3 iron - 302 style but full cavity 4 iron - 302 style but full cavity 5 iron - 302 style 6 iron - 302 style 7-P iron AF-Tour style
  20. The 302 produces a higher ball flight over the 301 whilst the 502 feels more solid that the 501. I would add that the prior 301 and 501 models are excellent and if I didn't love the AF-tour as much as I do, I would play the 301's in a heart beat.

I'm thinking about returning to what I know and trust, Fujikura. I see there are a few different versions of the Motore shaft and am wondering what the differences are from a playing perspective. From what I can gather, the versions are as follows; 1. Japanese version 2. US retail version branded the Motore F1 3. Tour version, only available from Fuji dealers (maybe) I expect that the JDM version will be softer, but has anyone played both, or all 3, and can difinatively let me know. Appreciate the help.

These are pretty much pre-sold out, mines on the way though!
  24. Are the 3 & 4 irons available for individual purchase or only offered as additions to a 5-P set?
  25. Replacement? Are you insane, these things are perfect and were subject to a loooong time of development to ensure so.
