  1. For sake of info, measured the CPM of my LY02 6.7 playing at 46" on a TM Gloire and its 247 using a 5" clamp. The slightly higher cpm could be attributed to the lighter Gloire head. Fire Express 55R on the same head and at the same playing length is 225.
  2. I suspect that the G would be the equivalent of the Premia (conforming) and V, the v spec and D the old D-1.
  3. One suggestion C is to re-list the past mentioned drivers downward from #10 in you first post of each new selection. Saving us (me in particular) the trouble of digging back old threads.
  4. This is my stage 5 after it was refinished by a forum member here at his factory's metal plating shop. The wedge was originally in gun blue finish but rusted out very quickly in humid Hong Kong weather. I have not even re-shaft it yet since it was refinished year and half ago.
  5. I just put a LY 02 6.7 on my Gloire 10.5. If you young guys are also playing the 6.7, perhaps I should be playing a senior flex instead.
  6. I am much older than you think, A. Always lust for an old set of S Yard forged irons.
  7. Okay, it must have been the cast GT irons that I hit a few years ago in Toronto. That GT was not your famous U101 forged by S Yard.
  8. How new is this iron model? The GT series has been around a few years.
  9. A, you should know better too. Mandarin is a dialect, the written form of this blog is in simplified Chinese.

I have my ZR460 now with the Bassara Griffin SR. The Griffin is okay but probably the Fire Express might be better choice.

Somehow, I just cannot get along with S Yard drivers, both the T388 and XT. I am sure they are great drivers but just not compatible with my flaw swing. Could very well be the stock shafts that giving me some problem (SR on the T388 and R1 on XT.)

200g head is plenty heavy. The stock Ryoma Premia is only 188g. The non stock heads that I have and had were 192 and 196g.
  13. Played with my new Bold 52* for the first full game on Thursday and this is what the leading edge looks like yesterday (Saturday) before my round. Although I purposely clean it after each shot knowing it is raw head on Thursday, rust spots were all too visible by Saturday morning. Perhaps the Bold is more suited to drier North America weather.
  14. Thats probably what I should have done and get the 56* and bend it to 54* instead of 52* and bend it to 54* which would increase the bounce ever more.
  15. The 52* has 12* of bounce which is quite high already. I use the 54* a lot but have not decide whether to bend the 52 Bold to 51 or 53*.
  16. I had my first game with the 52* yesterday and I guess the jury still out on this wedge for me. The feel of the face is quite dense and similar to the old Yururi raw. It's definitely not the softest feel of wedges as with my Vokey forged. Since I have been playing a 50, 54 and 58 in my wedges, I have yet to figure out my distance with the 52* Bold as it has to replace either a 50 or 54* (too many clubs in the bag.)

First dibs B? Well I need another set of irons like I need a (another) hole in the head.
  18. Although it is a Taylormade, the Gloire is nevertheless considered JDM and its somewhat adjustable. It is, for sure, as forgiving as Ryoma, and deep face. As to being long, it would be more a function of shaft but the face is fairly hot. The head of course is forged in China but then again so are the Ryomas.

Well, I got my 3 Bold yesterday in the box yesterday, no balls, hat or an extra wedge inside. : (
  20. Was it the post about his bad bladder?
  21. What did he post? I couldn't find it..
  22. Thanks B but he hasn't try the OnOff so I would have to ask. What year and shaft is on your forged? He did play with my son's 501 with nspro850 R (my old set) and likes it but found its a bit light and soft.
  23. I am looking for a set for a friend to be shipped to Canada. Condition should be reasonable to good. Let me know what you have. Thanks in advance.
  24. T, you seem to have an inexhaustible supply of 08 vintage forged in your cellar.
