Sound of the TRPX head - how to mute it
"Oven thing"? You inject foam into the head and bake it or are you talking too separate process?

Sound of the TRPX head - how to mute it
You can put cotton balls thru the weight ports? My D013 is already 199 g so additional 4-6g might not work for me but thanks for the good advice. I would need to unscrew one of the weights gingerly to test it. Read quite a few post on how soft those aluminum weights are.

Sound of the TRPX head - how to mute it
I am sure not everyone feels the same way but the sound of the TRPX head, both the S and D bothers me a bit. It sounds too hollow or tinnsy IMO ( comparing to the Ryoma Maxima.) Read somewhere in this forum that a member put cotton inside the head to mute the sound. Unfortunately I couldn't find that post again. I do not think foaming would be available from fitters in Hong Kong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Recommendations for FW and UT heads
Since you have the same sake, you should really get the 23* I brid. I have the 17, 20 and 23 and 20* is long but most consistent is the 23*. I am still having problem with 17* on tee and off the deck.

SALE(FWs)
Haha C. Just sold mine and you guys are making me regretting my decision to sell. Like the rest of the guys here, we just have too many clubs around and totally need to clear up the space for more new stuff.

George Spirits GTSW Pro Forged Wedge
I got both the pro and non pro version (dark color) in 56* head awhile back but only have the chance to shaft the pro version just yesterday. Had originally wanted to shaft with NSPRO 850 in R flex (being a senior golfer and using stock graphite R flex in my irons) but my fitter was out of 850 R. Instead of waiting to order the nspro, found an unused Roddio I-8 SR flex in wedge length for this particular head. After 18 holes today with this wedge, I came away totally impressed with the performance of this 56* as my go to club. While I was very happy with my Titleist Vokey forged, the GS is just as good if not better than the Vokey. Even with a relative high bounce of 11*, the club performs wonderfully in all sort of lies. Somehow with my 54* Vokey, I would tend to pull some of my pitches but this one just takes dead aim. Feel wise, it is wonderfully soft. T was totally correct in his review that this pro version is most versatile as a go-to wedge.

Nead a Damascus custom - Mokume Gane Grains Decided
OK perhaps its a smart thing to do to have consistent spec with all different makes. Just trying my hand now on a centre shaft straight putter which is quite different that the anser style. A small investment in the Ping Scottsdale Piper C which requires a straight back and thru style. Jury is still out whether I can consistently use this style of putting.

I have two premium drivers for up for sale. Not interested in any trade at this point. (1) Romaro Ray 455 LX 10.5* shafted with Fijikura Rombax 4x07 in Stiff. Playing length is 46.25". $400 shipped with PP gift. Condition is good and no nick or sky mark on the crown. Normal wear and abrasion on the sole. Original head cover (tired) included. (2) Epon EMS 10.5* shafted with Fire Express 55R. Playing length is 45". $SOLD shipped with PP gift. Sole and face has normal wear and abrasion but no nick or sky mark on crown. Original headcover included. Pictures on EMS driver were messed up so have to retake them tomorrow during the day. For the Romaro Ray, I would throw in a Attas 4U 5S (43.25") as a bonus for just another $100. Romaro driver/Rombax + Attas 4U for just $500 shipped.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
Besides Crazy weights, would the TM weights work on Trpx? They share the same wrench.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
Flex wise, would you say the Touale S is comparable to Messenger SR? I want a shaft in the mid or low 50g in R or SR flex but Touale only has the S flex. From what you describe, I hope 10* S013 is not too low launch.

putter trade (potential) thread ....
I still not sure what this thread is all about after reading it 5 times. putter is a golf club and unless you are giving it away like " finding a new home for one yours new puppies" the putter is for sale or trade. Perhaps I am a little dense on this. Could someone enlighten me again? Ps: you want other to register their interest before making a decision for sale or trade?

Anyone heard of the brand Zipang Studio?
Caddies hate heavy staff bags even they only need to pull and not carry them on their shoulders in Asia. I guess in China is fine for staff bags since mostly players use cart with caddies.

Grips??
Damn A, don't people sleep in Sing?

A, couldn't find any info on the GP Decadelite cord grip. Is it a Japan model?

I am sure your caddies would hate it.

TRPX Messenger + T.388
I played with a senior (more senior than me at 76) member yesterday and he was playing his Maxima newly shafted with a TRPX Ravie that I got him for the first time. His driving distance improved by 5 to 10 yards and he was so full of confidence that he actually bogeyed me to death. I lost 3 down on the back nine (gave him 3 strokes) although I still out drove him by about 30 yards. Confidence in your drive and in your swing is the key to a good game.

Opinions on Honma Driver
The stuff they sell at the HK store are way overpriced IMO. You can get just as good or better gear for half the price. Granted that armrq are good shafts but so are Crazy, TRPX and Fire Express. Besides a few wedges, a putter and an old hybrid, my own experience is only limited to a game with the Beres 701 irons and own a used set of LB280 briefly.
