Global agent for Epon is out of Taiwan but club heads probably forged elsewhere.

Thailand is a full fledge Endo factory. My Titlleist vg3 was Endo forged but from the Thailand plant.

Don't believe Endo has a foundry in Taiwan but a lot of clubs for the global market were assembled in Taiwan. Of course unless Epon is out sourcing it's forging now.
  4. Haha, A, you probably haven't travel much in the US or North America in the past few years. Unless you have high airline status, it's 10, 20 or higher per check in luggage. You are no longer in Kansas. They also charge you for seat assignment and meal on flight. If you have high Star Allaince or One World Status, it might help with luggage charge and lounge access. If you have Patinium American Express or higher, it would get you in some lounges.
  5. I play with a lady golfer that plays with 47 inch Ryoma Maxima. I ordered the head for her at 198g but she still put lead tape to make the SW at D7. It works for her and she is just perhaps 5 to 8 yards behind me when we tee off from the Blues. I haven't got the guts to go this route yet.
  6. For those living in the East Coast, It is truly just a short flight. Golf at Port Royal mid morning and afternoon high tea at the Hamilton Princess. If you get lucky with the fisherman, get the best Rock Fish this side of the Atlantic for dinner. Tim, you have such a good life down there.

I think they have been around for quite a few years but it seems to be limited distribution.
  8. Most JDM clubs, particularly popular drivers, are designed with the average Asian players in mind. Average SS is definitely slower and less aggressive hence wouldn't be too much of an issue with longer drivers. Most average golfers wouldn't bother to change shaft. I guess I have a very average ss and even higher average age, hitting a 46.5 or 47" normally is not an issue. Just have to keep in mind not to over swing (fundamentals) and remember one's age. My brother who is 80, plays a 48" driver without any problem. He was a 10 in his hay days and still has good fundamentals.
  9. Instead of coming to Bermuda at the end of Feb., my group now decided to go to Scottsdale and Sedona instead. Love to play Port Royal again soon.
  10. Kung Hei Fat Choy and Happy Chinese New Year to all the TSGer, old friends and new. Today is the first day of the Year of the Horse. May your drives be long and straight and win all you nassau, skin or Vegas.
  11. A, I have tried the (still using) the I-brid vs. other Ut, the I-brid runs a lot more than the ut of same loft. Perhaps it is the design for lower launching/flight but it is just longer result. The I brid is at least 10 to 15 yards longer in roll if thats possible. Haven't try the new Kasco yet but just afraid more investment in sometime I dont use. Working more on my swing instead than consistently changing clubs.
  12. Besides being smaller than western sizes, different brand would have different in sizing specs. I could be wear a LL on PRGR or Munsingwear yet might be wearing a L on some Mizuno (I am a M on 'normal' US size). If you really want to buy JDM golf clothing online, best to test out a brand and size first.

Hey Warren, you would be interested in a partial trade of a pulled Crazy shaft with a purple DWG grip (never re-installed) plus cash for the F7? ; )
  14. Dud head? I have the Gold version of the 455LX and it has good feel. I tried the black version which wasn't bad but just not outstanding like the Ryoma. It is a fairly decent club regardless.

So this kamui kpx is different than the kamui works? I try a kamui works 460 head once but did not like the hollow sound and feel. That's why I don't get along with trpx which most of you rave about. I guess everyone is different when it comes to drivers.
  16. haha, lets see how long you would keep this one, A. ; )
  17. Yes sir, the XXIO is definitely a forgiving and long option but is it forged? It is certainly larger in head size.
  18. I have the VG3 but if you are looking for a bit larger and more forgiving, I would probably say the Epon 702 over the VG3. I really like my VG3 but for a 18 capper, the 702 is definitely an option.
  19. Ian, i dont know about crazy but out of the ryoma models, the v is the most unforgiving. why would you insist on square to open face if you are hiting toe and heel but seldom sqaure. Besides head nd shaft compatibility, long is a function of one hitting the ball squarely and on the sweet spot most, if not all the time. As Chris said, no amount of gear is goimg to cure a swing flaw. Personally, if i play badly, i would always go back to fundamentals and check what went wrong.
  20. Ed, somwhow the I looks a lot like the Romaro I brid and the U like the type R. The type I looks very attractive to me at the moment.
  21. As far as I remember, Romaro was one of the guys that branched out after gauge. I recall those days the Romaro was just a putter maker.
  22. Couldn't see anything on the first post. Must be the format. It's just blank space.
  23. A, this is the shaft that I would like to try some day but just don't another set of irons at the moment. I am playing well with my VG3 with stock R and a set of Epon with roddio I-6. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. That's my motto now.
