  1. Are the grips on the 702 over wrapped like your 551?
  2. Cpm is an good indication of the flex together with weight class short of getting a demo. I already play 3 crazies driver shafts so I don't see a muso in the very near future but love to try one.
  3. I am normally a R flex with premium shafts and R or SR on stock shaft. My swing speed is about 85 to 88 mph or under 40 ms. Don't take all cpm figures at face value. It based on 45" and certain head weight plus the fact that in Japan, it uses a 7 " clamp vs. 5" clamp in most other places. I normally would subtract 10 to 12 cpm from stated figures. The higher the tonnage in a shaft the stiffer a shaft would feel (just from experience), i. e. a 50t full length would feel stiffer than a partial 40t in the same weight class. I am just talking about feel and not necessarily the cpm value.

I am sure different driver would have different attributes but Ryoma Maxima, IMO, does everything equally well. I tried the Kamui Works, and had trpx d and s but found the maxima to be more of a all around driver in terms of distance, sound and feel. If you just looking for distance, it could be something else but sound and feel is just as important to me in a driver.
  5. It does look like the Matsu now mentioned it. The Matsu has the special tinted plating. I still have a set gathering dust in the basement.
  6. Yeah I know but how does a verb works into a name? Perhaps non-believer might be better.
  7. Okay, I have to look it up on a dictionary on the word 'Adject'. It's a verb so what actually does it mean on an golf iron? The club does look good except the strange name. To add or annex?
  8. I think the muso is full length 50t and muso xdb is only part 40t for 55 and part 50t and part 90t for the xdb 65. I have a xdb65 fw in r flex and it's not soft at all.
  9. Its in Chinese and page out of Taiwan, or Akira sole agent in Taiwan. No mention that the clubs are forged or casted.
  10. Post some pictures. Is it also a blade?
  11. Craig, did you say you hate my guts?
  12. I can see why a golf blade purist would find this cutting strange and illogical. Most blade players would expect a pure one piece forged and not a two piece like the Epon 7 series. The question is whether Endo would find a different solution to achieve the same end.
  13. One of the fun things to do in Tokyo is to browse all the golf shops for all different stuff. I normally don't buy clubs as I know I can get them cheaper elsewhere. It's all the eye candies and the latest gear that makes the trip fun. I would go there to buy some golf clothes on sale and golf shoes. I need EEE or 4E and they are only available from JDM. All department stores has golf section but for pure viewing pleasure, can't beat going to Victoria.
  14. Don't forget there was no e commence then and everything was just so expensive in Australia. Now, while not a perfect market, consumers are much better educated with 'real' prices.

Don't think you can change the weight (looks like weight but it's not) on the original D-1. Maxima's weights are changeable however.
  16. But that's not Jdm. C only plays Jdm : )
  17. There is never any guarantee but one looks at the seller's past record and rating. It's a judgement call at the end but Yahoo Japan is better than other site. Some diligent has to be exercise such as look at pictures whether they were used by multiple sellers, i.e. same item, same pictures but different sellers. This is usually a giveaway.

The Roddio wood shafts are much more difficult to fit but the iron shafts are one of the best if not the best graphite out there. I play the I-6 R flex hard step once on my Epon 551 and I-8 SR on my 51* and 56*. If you are considering graphite, you should keep Roddio in mind.

If you need higher loft ute, perhaps you should take a look a ENA of Crane golf. Its not a brand that has been talked about much here but around in Asia for a long time. The Tycoon ute line has loft from 21, 24, 27, 30 and 33 in L, R2, R and SR flex. ENA is a super forgiving club if you find the right flex.

I did ask one of the member who is a authorized dealer for Epon about the 702 vs 703. He Said the 703 vs the 702 or 701, is actually on the big size like the xxio irons or put It another way, a bit shovel like. I see that you are 9 hdcp, you would be happier in the long rum with the 503 or just 703. I am playing the RF551 and it's great.
  21. Looks like a milled metal sheet then cut then attach to the putter head.
  22. Actually the ravie and touale are in the royal decor range (sub 50g) and this air would be in the range of LY 01 and 02 range of spec. I suspect this is how trpx would fill out the range to compete with crazy.

J, since this is a fully custom shaft, you would have to include one or two business class tickets or (first in your case) from the west coast to Tokyo plus 3 days stay at The Peninsula for a proper fitting. The total cost could add up. : (

Ryoma has a set of weights for the maxima that sold separately. However, I don't believe that the weight on the old D1 or Premia is changeable.
