  1. Yams and 909s are very good. But as the parenthetical states, am selling to get the cash to help a friend. I am not done hitting the Yam and 909 and as they are both limited edition sets I cannot justify letting them go yet. As the RR is a standard product I figure I have a year or two to come back to them if I wanted too...
  2. Yup. My 6 and 8 iron went in for shafting. Once the experiment is over will either sell the heads or use as the basis for a guest bag...
  3. RomaRo Pro Forged 5-P shafted with UST Mamiya Tour Attas 110X. Based on a 38.5" 5 iron 1.5* up from standard. Swingweight is a lie, built to D2 prior to grip change and back weighting. 44g of counterbalance in the butt end of the shaft. Have been my go to clubs for a season and a half. Largely good condition, think the 9 or 6 iron has a few road rash scratches on the sole. If counterbalance seems heavy, you have to try it to see why I do it otherwise can be drilled out by any builder. Retail: Heads are $1k shafts are $1k Asking $1k net to me, shipping will be quoted if provided a City, Country for the foreigners zip code for US buyers. Will only separate if both are sold simultaneously. Pics will be added later Road rash as mentioned on the 6-iron:

A little surprised by that given the circumventing of the COR rules the compressing crown gives the Maxima… Would imagine based on that, if KK took the compressing crown concept and applied it to the XV/388 it would beat everything out there sans MClaren's 435...
  5. Throw a Tour Concept shaft in a Chik and see how she goes..
  6. Would be curious about outcome, if it worked, not just his choice...
  7. Recoil has a 110 has well. Your buddy wealthy? So far we have gone from he wants a stiff shaft and heavy'ish to R flex with moderate weight to deal with fatigue as he ages... Sounds like a job for either the WF 950 or the Aerotech Player's Spec Ami 99 and both in R flex hard or soft stepping as needed...
  8. As in the sunscreen?
  9. Well if they are demos, you getting a full set or just a couple of heads? If full set what are you going to charge me?
  10. Agreed on the NS thing, If determined to go S right now, I think better off with a lighter weight shaft, 950 WF maybe. Also, shooting par does not mean strong it means skilled. Only SP I ever played is the Blue but liked it over every other steel I tried. Could also go steel fibre but not sure about who's footing the bill and the size of their purse/willingness to open it...
  11. Is the S a requirement or does he get the R recommendation. Think lighter weight if he wants S flex otherwise a heavier shaft in R. What about a Super Peening Orange?
  12. Would love to see no stamping other than the loft, maybe a small Buchi on the hosel but otherwise clean.
  13. Once again I could chime in as I have something relevant, but not gonna bother. Deaf ears and all...
  14. I'll take that like I take my wife asking me my opinion on a topic, as a rhetorical question.
  15. I would tell you to look a few posts up to Gocchin's remark, but you don't seem to care for my opinion....
  16. Think this to be a different driver the the jBeam 425 Tour that is in the BST right now for $499 unless you are not talking about the one on offer by YourPressed...
  17. WBQ MAX 65 Pro X CPMs 2 lower than the 75 and weighs in at 70g. I will hold to my WBQ MAX 65 in Pro X recommendation. You can tip it a tad if 282 cpm is insufficient. I would build it without tipping and leave a little long, grip down a tad and see if it works for you. If too loose tip it some, try again and repeat. Would imagine you should be easily able to play a 44-44.5 inch driver, so start the build at 45.5" should give you up to an inch of tipping if needed. Maybe tip in 1/4" increments. Once correct butt cut to length and build...

I think on mine I would want directionals so the people on the holes next to the one I'm playing can see at whom I am yelling "FORE"...
  19. Agreed it is a tough choice and expensive to get wrong. Crazy Boron is for a low launcher that needs elevation. Whether that low launcher is because of the head design or the swinger of the club. That does not sound like your issue in any way, shape or form...
  20. I'm still convinced the ONOFF Type S with a Roddio iron shaft is the best out there. Followed by the RomaRo iBrid in a close 2nd place...
  21. Crazy Boron is a poor choice for low trajectory, especially for someone with as high a SS as yours...
  22. Did you see Fred Armisen on Sat. Night Live? He then did a real follow up at Engadget. Quite interesting...
  23. I have a QFE Proto that is currently in the 388 playing 44", but played 44.5" in the Crazy 435. What would play in the Maxima?
