Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I shouldn't say unbalanced. It is awkward compared to what I am used to, but once you acclimate they are quite good. Full shots, especially trying to get a little extra yardage, is not their strong suit. Overall very good wedges, though. I think the Toyoshima's might be a bit better....

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I don't know what it is, but I have several wedges, each with a similar weight shaft and build spec. These are oddly balanced to what I am used to. Getting used to them though. Just a learning curve. Weight distribution is the only thing really different during the swing. The balance is definitely more noticeable past 9 o'clock on the back swing.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
My point was not explicitly about the 4 holes. In reality, if you look at the depth of the holes on the sole, they are different based on the loft of the club. My comment was that overall the weight distribution is different and it has an impact on "getting to know" the club. Moving from the Vokey to the Yam is fairly easy, I'm told. Design, size, weight distribution is similar. The Bold is materially different. That is what I though contributed the most to the awkward balance of the head. The more I play it, the more I am getting accustomed to it, another point I made in my earlier post...

New Driver Shafts? Where are they?
I have the Crazy Boron in SX, but in the 388 I found the Diamana X 70S to be a tad loose.

New Driver Shafts? Where are they?
The Boron pairs well with the Zero, if you're looking for a head to put on it.

New Driver Shafts? Where are they?
Have the Proto in an Epon 380. That and it's predecessor the Sigma 50 are my favorites. The Quadra Proto pairs well with the 388 too.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
When 95% of what you've played for years has a fairly consistent CG, then you play something different it will feel odd. That is the nature of the human body. It gets used to certain kinds of feedback then begins to ignore it. Change the feedback and the body will adjust and during that adjustment period things can be awkward. The term learning curve is appropriate here. If you look at the amount of mass compared to traditional wedges that has been shifted from low to high, while the CG of the head itself might have moved MM when you put it on a 35+" shaft and swing it at 80MPH that shift is amplified. Admittedly it is my layman's explanation of it, but it is the only variable during the swing, that can account for the feeling change.

A Generational Clash and a Couple of Reminders : Long
Yes, and I am inclined to believe him too. Just his original story of the cargo hold and confiscation by relevant authorities before succumbing to a lava field as part of the evidence disposal activities of government agencies spurred by the sequester initially involved a Yonex. So barring that slight tweak to his story, I would have believed him straight away...

A Generational Clash and a Couple of Reminders : Long
Well here is what I know of it. I bought a shaft used from Stew. Brought it on vacation with me and after 1 round and 1 hole it developed a chip. On the second hole of the second round, not knowing there was a chip, there was a thick long pubic hair of a fracture on both sides of the shaft. So I sent Stew an email and he graciously offered to reimburse me. Way above and beyond the call of duty. I said no thanks, but if he could reach out to Crazy for me it would be appreciated. He did and they had him ship them the club. So I sent it to Stew, he sent it to Crazy, they rebuilt it and shipped it back to Stew. Stew was going on vacation to HI and meeting iDrive. I half jokingly said he should bring the club to HI and then at the end of the trip have iDrive shuttle it to the CONUS for shipping. I also indicated that I would be curious to hear his thoughts about the build. It is not the longest driver, but I was getting 290 yd baby draws point and shoot performance with it. All carry, basically. This combo just makes me ooze confidence, can be mistaken for male moose pheromone. It is a 340cc head with a Super Hyten face, carpenter steel per Spoon. Even though it is not as long as the S-Yard, it might be my favorite. The veracity of it melting in a lava flow, shattering after freezing in the airplane baggage compartment or being confiscated by various authorities are yet to be verified... Apparently he likes it.

Oh no, not the Kasco… Thought it was the Yonex that suffered the horrible fate… If you want, keep it and send me a shaft, we can discuss which one as I think I can get another head. PM me...

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I am not saying that it feels unusually heavy, only that at the same SW as other wedges with comparable static weight they feel awkwardly balanced. Crayz Toyo with Crazy Black Evo II and RomaRo SX and Alcobaca shafted with Crazy Black wedge shafts all built to the same spec. That is why I am attributing it to CoG, and in comparison to other wedges I don't think the CoG shift is insignificant.

A Generational Clash and a Couple of Reminders : Long
I have done something similar with two older heads, the Epon 380 and the Kasco e340. They are both shafted with Crazy shafts, the Epon with a Proto 519 and the Kasco with a Sigma 50 Noir. Both are point and shoot accurate with massive carry limited roll out. The Zero and the S-Yard both out perform them when you factor roll out, but for accuracy the Kasco might be top dawg for me... I only recently started down the driver hunt, having id'd irons, putter and utility clubs. Once the XV gets tested I think I will be done there. The wedges are pretty much nailed and is a toss up between the Crazy Toyo and the Bolds. On the driver front, agreed the shaft is critical to actual performance, but confidence at address is fundamental to getting the club to perform at all. As such smaller heads or at least compact looking is a must for me.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
Why? I am confident in the accuracy of the build, and played it as built with my Tour Attas 110g shaft. It was oddly balanced. Added my standard 44g of back end weighting and it is still a awkwardly balanced.

Crazy 435 with Diamana X 60S
For sale is my Crazy 435 w/ Diamana X 60S has a leather BestGrips MicroPerf grip. Great club, just personal mental issues squaring larger heads and I have a bevy of other great drivers to play. Am asking for $800 plus actual shipping and fees, I have over $1200 sunk into it. Thought the price was fair, lets hear some offers. Club plays to 44.5" there is some lead tape on the hosel to bring SW to D2.5 but can use weight kit to adjust. Believe it is about very high C or super low D without tape. Loft is 10* Club face is 0.5* open Raw head weighs 200g

I think the raised CoG might be contributing to the awkward balance feel.
