Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
I was just expressing my frustration in you two not venturing into the 75g series to take my guesswork out of it. I ended up finding a used one, but I took a pure gamble on the 75 SX...

Yeah but both of you are getting the 65 which does not have the multi material tip. I think that is where Mjr D should be looking. 75 or 85 WBQ XX or something there about.

Let's compare TourStage 709 Drivers!
The 388 is a low launcher, without a high launch shaft it will stay low...

Blemish in my bag. Need to eradicate the blemish, with your help!
Crazy Black Tour is a great shaft. Have the Proto version of in the Epon 380 and am getting the Tour in the S-Yard XV soon. Have a Diamana X, not my favorite or I just haven't found the head for it yet...

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I am playing an X flex graphite shaft 110g. Similar weighted and flex different brand graphite shafts in Crazy Toyos, RomaRo and Yamaha wedges.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I will still play the Bolds. I do like them, just need to spend a little time re-acclimating to them before the first round and getting used to traditional wedges afterwards. They perform well and find them to be very accurate after that adjustment. But there is that adjustment period to them. That might diminish over time but for now it is definitely a consideration. Agreed on the 388 although I must admit, played my Kasco e340 this morning and put a couple equal to the 388 in distance. Those were pure strikes though so with the forgiveness factor the 388 is still a longer club.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
So I am convinced something about the Bolds requires an adjustment to your swing. Been switching between a few sets of wedges for a while now and every time the Bolds come up in rotation it takes at least one round to acclimate. Played a mixed set of Yamahas, then switched to the Toyos and a Geotech, right off the bat no issues. Went to the Bolds, and the first round with them was a hack job then when switching back again the first round is a horrible wedge day. Once you make the adjustment it is fine but something about the Bolds makes you change.

New Ryoma Maxima Type V review....
Agreed that the Boron is an easy launch shaft, for a faster swinger best to pair with a lower launching head but is a great swinger shaft. If you want to try a great grip try the Elites..

Epon Zero head only WTB
They are similar in distance. It is a look at approach and head shape thing. 388 is a lower flight, but that is also a shaft factor as I have a boron in my Zero....

Could just be my mental image of how to do it. But I strive for slight toe side contact for an easy draw.

Similar to other clubs, woods and UT, I use toe hits for draw and with irons a little bit of distance control. Instead of a 90% swing go full and contact toe side. I'm not talking all the way out, but based on the muscle shape definitely on the thin part of the head.

Not doubting the CG for center strikes is within the area of the muscle. More the change in feel and distance control on intentionally toe side hits… But agree on the possibility of original design, unless Hogan did it 30 years ago...

A Generational Clash and a Couple of Reminders : Long
Got it in the mail today, will bring her out in the morning. Also got a backup head the other day, thinking about putting a Diamana X 70S in it. Since it is a higher launching 10* head the lower launch of the X might be just what the doctor ordered for the other head. Just have to tip the shaft a tad to stiffen it up a little.

I have a similar swing characteristic, but also use toe side strike to manipulate draw/fade behavior. Would be concerned the design would eliminate that aspect of my game. But I agree that they are visually appealing..
