Given that these wedges are S20C is the crispness in the feel associated to the plating that is used? I guess you could also ask the question as what attributes the feel differences between to clubs that are forged from the same base metal? If it is the plating I wonder how they would feel if they were converted to raw or copper plated...

Were they as compact as the BB or more like the 5002 in size? Conforming or not?

I'll be able to start answering that question tomorrow. Just got built this morning and the epoxy was still drying when I left my builder. I am torn for my round tomorrow. Do I use the driver on every hole I can or play more irons in order to test out the 909s. Short course so many holes with driver become a wedge or less approach, alternately I can play more UTs and irons of the tee and get more shots in with the irons but don't get anytime with the driver… Once I start playing regularly it is not a big deal but after the winter hibernation I am anxious and indecisive about which present to unwrap first...

You are correct about the grips sir, have updated it in the pictures. Thank you… It will be Elite A50 grips once the weights from Balance Certified come in. Then the grips will get ripped off, weights inserted and gripped with the Elite on two sets at least. Third set might get the BestGrips depending on the performance on the driver. Will post full on side by side by side when the Bolds come in and all the bags are complete. Now that the standard orders got shipped I need to get some pressure applied for my lowly custom job... Only hit a bucket with the 909s to nail down the lie angle. Predominantly with the 5 iron and a few with the 6, heaps better feeling than the 905s from a couple of years ago. Night and day difference.

I have Recoil 125 in them now… Ball flight was somewhat penetrating with ability to adjust based on ball placement. If anybody is interested in a set of Modus 120 S 5-P, plastic still on the grips. I am not as nice as Stew but am reasonable...

Picked up my set of 909s from my builder this morning. There is no clickiness in these that I could feel at least in comparison to the 905. They are heaps better in feel comparatively, at least for the bucket of 5 and 6 irons I hit off the mat.

Makes me wish I did a standard order...

Given the image in the first post, with the ball in position. The head does not appear overly large, nor does it seem to have much offset. Unless that is only a prototype and the final product differs significantly, there was some photography trick with lighting or angles, or the ball in the image is larger than a standard golf ball. Would love to see in-hand photos showing the offset and size compared to other wedges.

Maybe I am not using the right lingo here, but I get the same behavior between the Cally Tour Black and the Epon F4. Cally just goes, Epon seems to stick to the face for a while, but not in a good way...
