  1. Debate and discussion is the only way to improve personal views... Consider it my way of helping you be a better you... ;) His SS detail is good for me to matchup up to, but he seems to be more of a hitter and I'm more a swinger. Also the weights stuff make sense, but again I consider static weight and different placements of the weight in my clubs... So while I enjoy his descriptions I too must adapt it to my own findings... That 3wd had just been built for me. Miura Precious Edition with a FW80 8.2 SW D2 at 42.5"... Was playing close to the Miura Precious 390 with P9003x at 44.25". Both are great stable clubs I just get along really well with the woods and hybrids... The hybrids were a last chance on the GD Tour AD EV 7x that came out of some Nextage FW. Butt trimmed the crap out of them and put the into the ONOFF Shingo FW Wings 21 & 24. Those are stellar performers. Almost need to take a little more length off of them to reduce the gap to my 5 iron... Let me know how I can help Stew. Looking forward to playing the Sigma 50 in something.
  2. I would argue, if one had tried a couple of the same combinations you could start formulating initial opinions based on relative observations...

You want the good news or the bad news? The Attas is on its way to Asia in the next week and we still have swap for the Betti, just been away so couldn't do anything... I am in the process of getting the Sigma from Supo, I think, and have been eyeing this sucker as a possible fit. The shaft is too loose for me though and I still have the 2 Crazy UTs that I got in my last purchase... So have been holding off hoping he can move it as a single item...
  4. I did that with a P9003x into a Kamui 3wd.... Absolutely marvelous. The trimming of the tip will just effect stiffness as a 3wd is frequently heavier than a driver. So if the shaft was too stiff in the driver you might not want to tip it at all...

Why do you say Miura Forged? They a new model or an old one?

With a stick or off the stick? Now back to the selling of some great gear...
  7. PM sent on the 50 Sigma
  8. Wait… We talking male or female? Member by marriage or natural born…?
  9. I am saying you just might want to quell the experiments and really get to know some kit before continuing... Then change one variable at a time... When you change 6 things at once, what do you attribute the differences to?
  10. Hate to say it Stew, as I like your commentary as much as anyone. But you might be suffering from information overload...
  11. Usually I would have said hard step as it helps keep the flight down, but these are the blues so soft step it and you'll still probably get a nice trajectory...
  12. SP Blues rock... Contrary to Stew though I could've gone X towards the end... Now I aman X in everything except Crazy Iron and UTs...
  13. That is a nice head shape... How's she performing?
  14. Reduce the prices on some of the Crazy's and I'll bite...
  15. True, it is a beautiful game to watch when played well… Too bad La Liga went with BeIn Sport this year instead of GolTV, dollars over viewers. Pains me to not get my fill of the Spanish game...
  16. Potuna might be interested in those...
  17. I just use the same shaft that is in the PW. Find it easy enough to control the spin and keeps some semblance of consistency throughout all the irons...
  18. Depending on your time frame to purchase, instead of asking for recommendations, scour the BST here or on other forums then do some searches of previous reviews on the irons and ask more specific questions about models. It doesn't make a lot of sense to get in to deep detail on something that you can't get on the used market.

Can you expand on that? Is it purely a financial consideration, has it been superseded by other technology, or just unnecessary based on the quality of the components TSG offers?
  20. I believe it was Spoon who bought them, hence the joke...
  21. I think they are modernizing the Hal Sutton grind for the new Tour Blade….
  22. I like them too… This is my second one. The Copper Olympia is now in the bag I keep at my folks house for when I visit. On the Zen front, I don't think there are anymore to buy… You'll have to find one used, and I think that is less likely than finding Personals up for sale...
  23. That was the goal of the design. Allow for different weights so varying grass and weather conditions would not require a change to the stroke. Similarly, I have been fitted a few times with different methods for putters and the loft of the putter has been different each time. So now, I can just have a different face made and select a loft and material even. Very versatile putter overall, great quality in it, but the Zen… Across the bags, the only thing that stays in all of them is the putter. Each bag is complete sans putter. Or to steal a phrase from a popular book "One putter to rule them all"...
  24. When I got the Zen, it pushed this one out of the bag... Adjustable weight, adjustable loft...
  25. How do you take a stroke and drop outside of the bunker…? That should be at least 2 strokes... What is special about the Ogio Chamber? Also, I walk and carry unless forced to do otherwise...
