  1. I play the Ezone 380 at 9* with the P9003x at 45". Choked down a little, thing is bananas.
  2. Would love to hear more comparisons to players MB/blades besides the AF Tours. Too bad the only way to get "personal" Personals is with sand paper and elbow grease... These sound fantastic to date...

Think I might have a Maruman KS Zero 54* sitting in the shed can let you know for certain when I get there if you're interested...
  4. Given all of the controversy why not take a note from America, the band that is... How about 無名のシャフト, which according to Google Translate loosely means "A shaft with no name"...
  5. Beautiful work there Spoon, hope you enjoy them...
  6. That has to be the best analogy for Supo's experiments I have ever heard... Can't say I've tried the driver shafts, but have played the Evo Irons and a couple of FW shafts. Also have a UT shaft waiting to go into a head... Very nice shafts indeed. To the comment about breakage, I did have a FW snap, but they replaced it in a jiffy.
  7. So where is the post?
  8. I am a fan of Crazy, the nice thing is you can buy a single shaft of the irons and do a direct compare...
  9. I looked into the Kamui, but they cannot go past 14 on the new model and the original ends at 13...
  10. Lets call it a repeat bad experience...
  11. Even with longer arms, when being taller it is still a longer club... My tailor calls me monkey arms with a 36" sleeve. My hands hang past my pockets, yet am a 38.5" length, one fitter had me at 1" long previously...
  12. Anyone know anything... Want to replace a broken RC Driving Spoon and won't go back to RC clubs... Is it truly a 12.5* or... Feel, distance, etc... thx
  13. I am 6'4" and play a 38.5" 5 iron. I think a lower launching shaft as the taller/longer arms, very easy to get the ball in the air...
  14. Mine are an X flex, so they should be somewhat stiff... I was able to make good solid contact with them prior to soft stepping, just noticed a loss of back spin so figured I would try softening them a bit. It worked beautifully. Would seem, in conversations with Gocchin, that the Crazy shafts do play a little stiffer than most. In hind sight, should have spent the time up front with it before having the whole set made up, but oh well live and learn. I highly recommend the switch over to graphite, but I did not do it for weight reasons, still playing ~110 plus a 40 gram butt weight. Rather it was to reduce the vibration to my joints. Some will encourage a longer shaft with graphite for a few reasons and that also accounts for the distance increase in many cases. Get a flex that works for you doesn't have to be X... How do you like the GD shafts?
  15. I have a set of the Tourstage 905 X-Blade muscle backs shafted with the Evos in an X flex. Used to play Miura Baby Blades with NS SP Blues... Have to say I really like the Crazy shafts. Agree on picking up some distance and having less fatigue in my hands and arms after a round, especially when it is colder. Don't think I gave up very much in the way of feel either. Net win except in the wallet. Also, the Crazys play a little stiffer than most shafts I have hit graphite or otherwise, had to have them soft stepped half a flex. Am currently comparing the Crazy/TS 905 to a set of Romaro Pro/Attas Tour iron shafts. Although I like the Romaro/Attas combo, I think the Crazys are a better shaft making the combo better. Am very curious to try the Roddio shafts, but can't get any as a component shaft so it will have to wait.

I know I spent some time trying light weight and could not get timing down now matter how stiff I went. Started with an S and moved up to XX couldn't get so I gave up... I would agree with the other commenters, not a good choice...
  17. Stew, Thought you gave up utilities...?
  18. Those are pretty... Agreed on the flat black no fill.... How do they compare to others you carry? Size, Feel, etc...
  19. I might have an extra set of the Baby Blades if your slush fund can hack it... Non-conforming 38.5" 5-iron...
  20. Testing out a Crazy UT and a Quadra Fire Express UT shaft what would the trimming instructions? Is it just a butt trim to length or tip too based on hybrid loft? Thanks

I'd gladly pay you in a few months for a driver shaft today... Funds too depleted to pull a trigger... GLWS

great to hear... glad you are liking the combo, I have a head on the way and a Crazy UT waiting to have put in it... What is our setup like loft, length, stiffness, etc..?
  23. What is phiten and why would you want it in a grip?
  24. Thanks... Take the time to try a few out, you have a luxury I didn't. Access to most and calling it part of your job. Would have loved to get singles of all the high end ones with a common head and done a shootout, but as it stands, I bought a few different ones and then gambled on the Crazy shafts. Also, it is better to start before you have an issue than after... Personally, I think that although there is a learning curve and it is steep in the long run it will make you a better ball striker... The initial foray into it you will hit lots of odd distance shots but of you listen(feel) what the club is telling you, your body and swing will adjust accordingly. After hitting the Miura Baby Blade for a little while, no club will frighten you any more. Not that they are hard to use, just small. I liken it to the old wooden tennis rackets, the type the Laver, Borg, and McEnroe(as an aside I like the fact that spell check corrected my capitalization on Mac's name) used to use before the advent of aluminum midsize and graphite oversized rackets. If you could get the sweet spot on the small ones, look out if you go to the bigger ones...

They have some photos on the Crazy web site too. My wallet is thanking heaven that I had already ordered the RomaRo before I knew about these... Absolutely gorgeous, but agree that the "From Tokyo" is unnecessary. Also imagine it with a smoke like finish from their shafts...
