blades...................JDM baldes................ yes indeed. tourstage 905--------- thinest topline ,zero off set, best looking , not uber soft.more firmish, . not very forgiving off centre but impoved over 901s REAL player irons... very small compact. light heads. . very workable yururi flatback----------very small , very thin topline, soft as a babies bum, PW is prob nicest looking PW of all. zero off set . offcentre equals big distance loss, need lots of care or they rust very easily. MOST workable clubs ive played. did i say soft????? miuraSM... zero off set , very soft. very smal lcomapct but thick blade, miss**ts VERY good centre shots are peerless, not as big los of diatnce. very flat -straight sole.incredible for hard pan lies. chrome finish AWSOME looking. put covers on them..! yonex ezone----very very workable. very thin, topline and over all slightly longer blade , noticeable face progression light heads epon af-tours.-----the most forgiving blades .. butter soft....semi thick, semi comapct, semi big sole. so easy to play and love high launching heavier heads kyoei v-muscle---- very thin top line tiny tiny off set. almsot unnoticebale unless u pop against the miuraisms.. longer balde thick muscle, thin sole no nonsense no pack drill blades at a very good price............ theres a quick review on the ones i played recently

new driver i built on friday the 9* tour with a diamana stinger in stiff flex. 45 x d25 x 324 gram figured that the 9* being a pretty low launcher, i would need a bit more forgivness to get this going consistantly. the stingers isnt really a low launch shaft, it gets the ball up pretty well and it pretty low spin so theres not a lot of shaping going on. so i thought htis might make a decent match. i can get it on a small arc on occasions but its pretty striaght for the main. and good thing is its NON directional, so its not an anti left shaft. so i can hook this just as well as push it equally well. the other one was the crazy cb50 8.2, my gamer 45.25 x d2 x 325 gram this has been my fav driver since it was made. and as usual i hit it so well that i bench it to make others i have to compete with bec im a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonatic...! i know exactly what this does and hoe to play it so we had an open bag policy sat and i got to game both drivers at fujizakura which is the one iplayed with i-drive in july. its i think my best course here 7115 yards so its got some punch , and the bunkering is "spot on" the 10* yam is quite high the ball gets up very quickly and soars its not a low to high with back spin its just striaght up and the ball rides the wind........ i get some roll with this driver which is great its not a 100% carry driver its perfect for days when u can just wail hard. we were in a match play game so there wasnt multiple drives on each hole. but rather i carried 15 clubs with the extra driver. nad used both of them about 8-6 to the 9* favour. the yamaha with the boron shaft ina softer flex was noticeably whippier than the cb50. but not is a bad way. the flight on the 9* was lower than what the driving instructors would tell you is ideal but the result would tell you otherwise. i got 4 of these drives dead centre and wow. the slightly softer flex took me a few drives on the range to get acquainted with but by game time i had it measured. first drive with it was over the length of my first drive with the jbeam 435 on the same course 2 months ago. by 10 yards. so... immediatly i knew this driver has NO PROBLEM with being long. it was just a case of getting it sqaure and ill be ok. well it was ok, it was a lot better than ok. it was a lot better than i thought , and expected .. and it was longer than the 10* although prob not as easy to hit near the middle. the cb50 is the easier to play and gettting off the centre is pretty consistant. ball flight is high and soaring . distance is VERY consistant and relaible , this driver is consdier a very controlled easy to hit "good" players driver. its workable. a lot more so that the 9* its clsoe to the perfect beast. the 9* being noticeably lower and a bit softer got a bit more sling to the ball. the length was def longer but the off centre shots are alot mre common , and bec of that well .. we all know the drill here. the stinger shaft is good ,. very very very good. it suits the yamah head perfectly. thr stinger has a differnt feel to the crazies and the crazy actually feels "tighter" but .. in reality i dont think it is. the boron delivers a very striaght ball.. i prefer hitting the boron. if u had only 2 drivers in yr rotaion then these 2 wud do u 100% perfectly . he 9* cud be played in wind no probs and the 10* on calm days and u wouldnt find ys self longing for the other. if i had to keep one of these..... id keep the stinger 9* ONLY beceause......... i have several other high lofted drivers that i cud substitute for 10* caveat..... i dont think the stinger in the 10* would make it any better, i think it may just get the ball a bit too high. in the 9* its close to perfect. top build this one... one of my better ones.

ive now had every yamaha "tour "iron set and driver from 2008 and even the 2006/07 wich werent a tour set but they were closer to a "tour " set than everyting else. every one of them are a super set of irons adn driver. and they all change enough each year to make them a differnt kind of club (irons) the drivers are a veritable evoluition of the same idea.what this yrs is going to be i cant imagine. i gamed 2 yamaha tours drivers on sat and.................... well.................... they are just perfect clubs the sound and click at impact cant be beaten. cant wait for the 13 driver... -

UPDATED Oct 10th: Custom Mizunos from Yoro Craft Thread
supo replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
i know what u mean....it was blades only for a few years, , then i found the fourteen tc-1000,,, they are a wonderful iron perfeect mix of blade and cavity... then the muscle back kinda irons like the 302s and yammy tours adn now the tourstage 701s which.. might be AS good as every other set i own.... bit bigger face, NO of set to speak of. slightly larger sole without being wide. never give up the blades.. but a set of two of this type i cant ressit. then the personals came up and they are a blend of them all. gee the finish on the mizzys are just fantastic. -
gee.. piccys say more than words here........... that is as good as it gets bag. clubs, course end of chat.

al yours nam-san. -
its the most lovely thing ever... there is NO run what so ever. most drives get backspin hence why i have a lot of 10.5* low spin high launch drivers! this was in hokkaido in august ... the grass is unbeleiveable . every shot off the fairway just eats the grass.
-
hahahah. these were two damn good shots. both landed me close.. i had to go to the land fill accross the road and get a truck to fill these in . the right one got up and ran away
-
this is what personals do to lush grass................,

25% customs on used gear.. thats rediculous!

they are totally diffent animals. the 905s ive had a while but only palyed a cpl of times and played well with them each time. they are top off thin grass. thats why i bought them for sydney summer. but there was so much rain last yr the grass was like japan! they go good on that let me tell ya. the 905s are my best looking blade , but they are a bit too square for my "personal "preference. but i hit em really well. im gaming them omorrow . so il llet ya know sunday
