kamui pro kp-x driver head
Strangely though, they are very well established here in Thailand. And have been so fpr a long time going back to their Typhoon drivers. Not like like everybody knows about them, but most avid golfers, and especially Long Drive guys will know about Kamui Pro here. Another VERY popular brand here is Katana, which you will find in any main stream department stores sports section. Since I'm a pretty high swing speed/high launch kind of player it seems like a great fit for me.I've been checking it out quite a long way back, and really liked the shape of it.

kamui pro kp-x driver head
I've seen this, and other, Kamui Pro heads many times in person. Held it in my hands and I have never noticed any "finish issues" and I'm pretty good at spotting faults, at least I think I am. The finish on the heads I've held is spotless. These look super clean to me, use DAT55 forged Ti, is MIJ..So exactly WHAT is it with the quality that is not up to standard? I thought Kamui Pro was founded by people that used to work at Kamui Works? And so they should be pissing on most other brands when it comes to quality construction and top materials. Are the lofts all over the place or what is it? If somebody claims Kamui Pro is not Good Quality I'd like to see actual faults. Did somebody saw a head in two and noticed bad weld work or something? Are the lofts off by 2 degrees? Just because it's not customisable and handmade like Kamui Works stuff doesn't mean it's "not good quality". The handmade dimension that Kamui Works offer is rather unique, almost no brand can touch that. That would mean that every brand in the pro shop is not "good quality". Is Tourstage "good quality"? Titleist Japan? I'm confused.

Srixon Z ut #3
But you understand I have the ZR uti right? Not the Z uti.

Srixon Z ut #3
What you have? Loads of stuff I suppose? Any wedges? head only or shafted, doesn't matter.

Srixon Z ut #3
Ah, I understand. I use the 2 from the tee a lot. very easy to hit straight, and surprisingly long too! I often outdrive my buddies with this club!

Srixon Z ut #3
I think I have the ZR uti forged 3-iron somewhere? It's a very long and soft, it's in a stiff original shaft and frankly a bit soft for me. Been thinking about fitting it to a stiffer, heavier shaft someday, but I've a feeling it will never happen.I have the Z uti 2-iron though, using it now and then, it's fitted with a Nippon 950 stiff. Both are in mint very good condition, headcover always on.

Why is the new Diamana X 78T and not 80T? Also...
The Geotech 90T does not come in any serious flexes I guess? From what I understand the Geotech shafts play very soft?

Nippon 999
I think Cobra used to offer them standard in Asia in their players irons a few years ago? I thought they were a special shaft offered to OEMs only, never saw them for sale as shaft only. Im probably wrong though.

Metal breakdown
I don't think it has anything to do with what somebody thinks "on the internet". Design is of course extremely important, but I'm pretty sure the larger OEMs would like to use DAT 55 for example, but the cost rules it out. This would be more than somebody on the internet, it would probably include the whole golf industry. 6-4 is of course an ok material, but if cost was not an issue the whole industry would be using more premium Ti..Of course. Or do you think they just happen to think the cheapest Ti was absolutely the best? That would be a HUGE coincidence. Not likely at all.

Metal breakdown
I think...6-4 is cheap and good enough for most manufacturers. The cost versus performance makes it popular. And if cost is part of the equation it might be the "best" Ti. But I guess what you mean with best Ti for face construction, you mean the best metal regardless of cost. And from what i understand 6-4 would not be on any brands list of favourite face metal if it cost the same as DAT 55, 56, SP700 or that Endo VL Ti. It's cheap and decent enough I guess? I'm no expert though.

Thought's Please on GeoTech?
RF700 iron? Couldn't find it when I searched for it, do you mean the GT forged CNC maybe? That one looks very good to me, especially at adress. I also like the look of Geotech stuff a lot, I guess it's only some twisted form of brand snobbism that have kept me from using it..Sad to say. EDIT: I found it on the Geotech website, and they look incredible. Really great looking iron. MIJ or not I don't know, but I THINK all the forged Geotech heads are MIJ. The new N17 also looks very very good...

PRGR 2011 egg i+ Utility
Did anyone try this? I had a look at it today and it looks really good, was thinking about getting the 19 degree version as a kind of 3-iron replacement/driving iron. The shafts top out at M-43 though, so is this club meant for slower swingers only? Did anybody try it with a bit heavier, stiffer shaft? Maybe a steel shaft? I noticed there was no steel option too.

EPON Zero
This is a compact deep faced head, and if the COG is really high 10.5 is probably smart in order to be able to launch the head at all. The added loft will give some extra forgivness and coupled with a (supposedly) high COG it can be a terrific driver. One thing Im slightly surprised about though is the face material..Havent we learned and been told that 6-4 ti is a budget s**t metal and only DAT 55, 56, SP700 or that special Endo Ti that I cant remember the name of right now is good enough in a super premium head? 6-4 is what all budget heads use.

kamui pro k-px head
Ahh, I started a thread about this head quite a while ago. Saw it in Bangkok a few times, and yes, it does look very powerful and "hitable". Will be interesting to see how you hit it with one of your 2000 premium shafts! Did you hit it with the stock shaft yet? Here in Thailand it comes with a Quadra fire express as stock, so its quite pricey.

Swing weight at D9..
Changed shafts the other day, to Nippon 1150 tours. Noticably lighter and less "physical" feel now. Have only hit them on the range, will play 18 holes tomorrow. Had a change because I feel that if i play a few days in a row I get really tired at the end of the round..And i have a feeling it's the high SW that wears me out at the end of every round. ESPECIALLY if I have a bad day ballstriking wise.
