So, a TJ 80 6.9 will flex out at the same frequency as a RD 6.9? I have never checked it, but I somehow doubt it.

Now, I know that there is no such thing as a standardised, industry-wide set of parameters when it comes to shaft flex, but why are brands using different standards among their own models? A Bassara stiff will flex out much softer than a Kai'li stiff for example, and there are countless other examples. But why? Why not jut label a Bassara stiff as a Regular? Or a Kai'li stiff as an Xstiff if they insist calling the Bassara "stiff"? It just does not make any sense at all.

Yep, over at golfcraft in Ekkamai. I won't be able to go down there and have a look, so go ahead if you want to!

He says it's the 415, can he be wrong per chance? This is the exact driver he is selling, the one in the photo I mean.

I know a guy that sells this for not much money. Was thinking about getting it for the fun of it, but is this still a driver to be "reckoned" wit or is it more of a cult classic that is not really comparable to newer drivers? Also, are there fake 415s around? It seems improbable but thought I'd ask. This is the driver in question.
  6. I have two different Srixon DIs. I have the newer one, the Z-UTi in 2 iron and with a Nippon 950 and its very easy to hit. I also have the older version, the ZR UTi, also in 2 iron form, with the original graphite shaft. Currently the ZR is in bag, the original srixon shaft is actually ver good, 77 grams and the club is extremely easy and surprisingly long. That goes for boh of these. The Z-UTi is still almost unused, shockingly enough, even though it is really good. I have been toying with the idea of swapping out the Nippon 950 with a hybrid graphite shaft.
  7. whats the colour of these?
  8. Maybe that's why you upped the price a bit hu, ha ha? Still, a great price!
  9. Lol, good one! Really made me laugh here.
  10. It's an antislice thing too, most japanese, or most golfers in the world actually, fight the slice. I asked Tario this exact thing a long time ago, why jdm irons are always way way too flat and the woods are really upright? Don't remebmer the exact answer but anti-slice properties are part of the answer. It's easier not to slice with an iron. It's not unusual to see 60 degrees lie on jdm drivers, whereas 56-58 is more common on US spec drivers.

I see these every now and then here in Thailand, always look pretty premium and are pretty pricey too. They also have some very highly regarded drivers and woods. Also expensive. Somebody told me Mystery is a small father & son operation, focusing on high end finish and quality. The irons look Kyoei, they also have pure blades.
  12. How much would a custom set with one of these finishes be? Approximately?
  13. We'll give you the benefit of the doubt, ha ha
  14. I'd like to know too. How it plays, true to flex etc

How severe are the scratches on the 58? And are you in the EU since you price in Euros?
  16. Well, I still have the Rupas in 52 and 60. Have the 56 too actually but it's still in the bag...Sometimes.
  17. The extension: Does an extension affect the performance of a shaft much? Is it miniscule or should it be avoided? I mean, if you use a graphite extension at the grip end.
  18. Thanks for the info. And, yes, from what I remember (could be wrong) IF there was such a thing as s18c then s15c (and for sure 20 and 25) would be a better material? Plus the "softest forging" claim would still be untrue since some use s10c..Which anyway, like you point out, is less important than the heat treatment?
  19. Ok, good to know. I have a Black Xstiff that I'm not using at the moment, so I thought I might get the ryoma 8.5 and fit it to that. Thanks for the "warning" ha ha. Yeah, the Black is not exactly whippy that's true.. might be too much in a Ryoma 8.5 then.
  20. I thinkt Scratch claimed s18c? Not sure though.
  21. Good infor here, I might pass on the 8.5 Ryoma then. Or get a low kick shaft for it. Before reading this I figured I might get this head and put a low launch shaft like a Xstiff Miyzaki Kusala Black in it to get a medium not too high ball flight..Oops.
  22. The new Geotech offerings look great, both the driver heads and the forged iron heads. I noticed the Quelot heads are s15c steel, which is a bit unusual. I remember seing some wedges from George Spirits that are s10c even, but that's about it. Is there an advantage using s15c in the Geotech Quelot heads? This being Geotech's premium brand and all. It also states they are 'hand forged' but that must be incorrect?
  23. I always thought the Ryoma was an high easy launch head? Need to study this a bit because I have a chance to get a V-spec 8.5 for not too much money (expensive enough though) and thought that would be a good fit because I usually hit the ball pretty high, and I thought that the Ryoma was high launch.

Yeah, makes sense that they should use the same tone of white for the La Bomba and the white heads. With the Fubuki it looked a bit off. Very important to get the hue right, if it's spot on it would look great classy and if it's a bit off it looks odd and a lot less classy..

I saw a Jbeam head, the more shallow faced version in Bangkok the other day, and the white on it was kind of creamy almost yellow in tone. It had a Fubuki shaft installed and the head was much more creamy looking, making the head almost look "dirty". In my opinion it wasn't very good looking. Just so you know in case the white mamba shaft is more pure white rather than almost egg shell white.
