  2. I'll take the Yamaha if you still have it. PM sent.
  3. The callaway M-style in the pro shop looks really smart and has a cool design..I like it. http://www.tourspecg...addy-Bag-TWL-JM
  4. Had a look at this today, it looks nice and compact, and I have been on the lookout for a new 3-wood for a while..Plus, these are very well priced here in Thailand too. Anybody use this?

I think the blades are Kyoei. Looks a lot like a classic Kyoei blade that's been ground in a new way. As for the CBs, they look very cool I think, but is the difference betwen the One Dot and Two Dot mainly the insert in the CB and the face colour?
  6. The smell of the grips...? Hmm. Anyway, great looking irons really.
  7. Just guessing, but they are not exactly wasting money on a huge amount of marketing. Maybe they do heads for other companies too? These are china made but still looks great, the N17 is Japan forged though and costs almost the same. I guess it's the intricate work on the back of the RF700 thats makes them cost what they do, even though they are made in china. But still, excellent value for sure. I've never hit geotech stuff but I have seen them and held the clubs and the finish looks to be really first class. s
  8. Hello! So you use Geotech irons and wedges..? Interesting since I guess you can pick and chose anything JDM.
  9. Is the yamaha head only? i guess so, but had to ask.
  10. Like the title says! The 2 kamui pro drivers look really really good, eventhough they are a bit more money than I thought they would be. A test would be awesome.
  11. Good looking stuff! Shipping out of Taiwan...Hm
  12. For sale here is a Tourstage 703 9.5 degrees with a Crazy LY-02 Xstiff shaft. Club is 45.25 long. Cpm at 279. Strangely though, several average swingers have had good results when they have tried this one. I'd say this suits smoother swingers. Long combo though. Excellent condition. 600 dollars. Also two Rupas wedges in vgc, with KBS black nickel stiff shafts, midsize golfpride red/black new decade multicompound grips that are as new. Half inch over standard length. 150 dollars each. Prices are plus shipping.

Whats the CPM on this after tipping?
  14. I have never hit a club woth those gripmaster leather grips. How are they? In every photo i see them they look like they are uneven and the seam never looks straight..And that goes for every photo of them I have seen.
  15. The Superio FW shaft! Ha ha, i know I shouldn't mention it here, but it's superb for me in a 3 wood, and everybody that ever tried it thinks the same. The latest version of their FW is 40T (apparently, ha ha) and is called the Mugio FW. Weight is 78 grams if I remember correctly. Can be had for not too much cash too! Take a chance maybe?
  16. I have no idea or experience, but from hearing other people's comments I'd say the Crazy 'wins' on all accounts. Keep in my mind the the Crazy 435II is not 435cc (yes a bit odd) but 454cc (or 445?) if I remember correctly. I thought I'd point it out since you seem interested in a smaller, more compact driver since you write about the J40 430cc.

    How long is the shaft?
  18. Yep, that's true Carlo, I have noticed many tour players only have irons up to 9-iron and then wedges for the rest. But I wouldn't say that the PW is bulbous and the wedges are slender, in my experience the average blade or players CB PW is neater and a bit smaller than the average wedge. At least these days, blade sets from a while ago had pretty large PWs. Now, with most blades and players CBs there is a jump in size when you go from PW to Gap and especially SW and LW. But like I wrote earlier, the Romaro W in the GTI blog looks really like it could be a natural progression from a blade set or a compact CB. Looking forward to checking out the Epon by the way.
  19. I've been on about this here before..My Kyoei Vega MB PW is just great. I go to it at times when i really should be using something more lofted, it's small and powerful, has the perfect bounce for me, is accurate, feels soft I can manipulate shots with it, open it up etc etc. I have 3 rupas Wedges and they are ok, but nothing compared to my PW. Have few Vokeys..Same thing. I have an Epon coming from Spoon, that might be the thing! I even use my PW in bunkers unless I'm absolutely greeside with the flag really short. The Romaro W wedge looks very promising from the photos I must say.. I'd like a 52 and a 58 looking and playing like a blade PW but just with more loft. Why are are almost all wedges so bulky and big? I've been eyeing the Miuras, even held a couple of them but it's the same thing there, if I hold the Miura blade PW next to the Muira Wedge, the wedge has suddenly grown compared to the PW. Why is this? Am I the only one who ever got riled up about this? Wedges are for partial shots and finesse, shouldn't they be really small and compact compared to the irons that we use for full swings? is it a weight issue, that they need to be large because they need to be heavier? I think it's almost illogical that wedges almost always are bigger than the short irons.

Yeah, but apparently the Fiamma IS the high ball version, is designed to be high and the Spada an Z being the low launching ones.
  21. Vegaman replied to supo's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
And the Fiamma is supposee to be the shaft offering 'easy high launch'? Ok, I guess the Kamui Pro is a really low ball head then...
  22. What kind of MONSTROUS golf courses do you play if you need to use the Egg Spoon on a par 3?
  23. Vegaman replied to shacco's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Advertising dollars play a part for sure..But also, the criteria in the various Hot Lists includes things like "Buzz", "demand", "innovation" and "technology".. So a club can be as good as anything, if it's not creating "buzz" (attracting the attention of the average, cluelss Joe golfer) it won't get Gold. Same if it's not full of fancy named plastic inserts and instead is a one pice forging = not "techy" enough..Insane really..
  24. Wow, gotta let us know how it turns out with that basileus shaft..
