Whihc of the Miura (European) modela are the most forgiving
I'd say MC102 too. The largest and most forgiving Miura. As for Epon 302, they are hardly the best Epon iron to compare with. From what I have seen they are neither large or forgiving.

Crazy Royal Decoration + Ryoma
Whats the CPM on the super longest yard Hard flex? I also feel that if the shaft is light enough the stiffness feels much less pronounced. I have the old LY-02 in Xstiff and the cpm is 279, so pretty stiff. But it doesnt feel tht stiff during the swing, I guess because it's only 57 grams.

honma tw 904
Saw a set of TW904s irons. They looked pretty good, especially at adress. They are forged in Japan according to the GTI blog, but it only says "mild steel". What does this mean? What kind of steel are these irons made of, 1020, 1025?

43.5 inch driver build
That Crazy might be exactly whats needed, if its heavy enough. Otherwise, a heavier steel shaft might the way to go. Like on of those steel 3-wood shafts. Somethng in the 90-100 grams range.

43.5 inch driver build
Like I wrote earlier, I've been thinking abput going the steel shaft route and keep it short. Maybe use my oold TM R510TP or a Vega DAF head, should be that compact deep faced look to suit the concept of a low spin low launch straight driver with roll on the shots. Imagine myself hitting "stingers" with a set up like that, can always dream..

43.5 inch driver build
Interesting read! Ive been thinking about a "short" set-up too, was thinking about getting a not too heavy steel shaft even and put my R510TP in it. And keep it under 44 inches. Will be interesting to see how it works out. I'd like to see a photo of your golf heads/Shafts "dungeon" by the way, ha ha. By the way, the TS 703 I got from you quite a long time ago is "finally" (after some mixed results with Roddio and Miyazaki) it's working very well in a LY-02 in Xstiff I picked up used just to try it out.. Of course, made me think about something more deep faced like a Jbeam 425 or something..

Inflexible JDM brands
I use 0.5 over standard right now, recently shortened them from 1 inch over standard. Just until last week i had a 5 iron that was 39 and now it's 38.5. Feels a bit more managable, the SW was D9 before..A bit heavy, yeah. No adverse effect on shotshape or distance so far. Before the 3 iron was 40 inches and rather heavy, and even though I played pretty well with the older set up it feels bit better now.

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
So, very straight but not that long? Sounds like a spin issue, the Kiyoshi is a pretty low spin shaft, not as low as the Devotion but I can see that the Kiyoshi is a good fot with a big high launch head like the G20, or the Crazy 460 too for that matter. You need either a lower loft or a higher kicking shaft, so a Devotion might be it, or the Kiyoshi for that matter. You want to stay away from 70+ gram shafts so I'd recommend the TJ46Nero that is both light and stiff enough to keep the ball flight from balooning, or maybe a Kai'li.

Inflexible JDM brands
I still use my old irons that ae 3 degree up fom standard. I was contemplating getting my hands lower through the hitting zone, but I got a lot less consistent when I tried that, and my iron play is pretty decent so I swing normally now. It might also be because my irons are pretty upright so when I tried to lower my hands through the hitting area the results were inconsistent. So it's been resolved in a way, I didn't but new irons. I was just a bit confused as to why I got the slightly weird emails from Yururi saying "If we bend them 3 degrees up they are not Yururi anymore" or words to that effect. And back then I was surprised that in a segment were everything is supposed to ultra-custom everything they were so rigid.

geotechgolf.com
Yes, I understand it makes sense. And yes Golfsmith I of course know about, but they started out selling components from lots of brands plus selling other OEM stuff too and THEN they bought Snake Eyes. Didn't they buy McGregor too? But Golfsmith does not have their own brand named Golf Smith that is a well known brand in itself. Golfsmith is a retailer rather than a brand, so there is a difference. I was just not expecting to see Crazy an Kyoei when I looked up Geotech, was expecting a page full of Geotech stuff only. Not Geotech promoting other brands stuff. But I guess you live and learn, this is their rather unique business model, and if it works who am I to argue?

geotechgolf.com
Yeah, ok..But shafts etc etc they do not make themselves, but they DO make heads, irons, drivers and all. I can find various shafts on the upgrade page of Titleist, TM etc too. And grips.. If I go to other component brands website (say, infiniti, Krank, SMT, Kenmochi, Kamui, Crazy, Jbeam, Yururi etc) I won't find other brands for sale, so it's not like it's standard "component brand business practise" and so I find it a bit unusual. Even weird. Ant other Component Brands do it this way? I dont know a single one but maybe you do.

Royal Collection RC Forged
I actually play bridgestone J38s, ha ha. But I have a pretty decent ball strike, and I have tried various blade irons with good results, since I hit the ball pretty high, sometimes too high I feel. And that's with SP Blues in Xstiff. A friend had Vega blades that I hit very well, and I have tried Mizunos like the MP 33 and Titleist MBs and hit them well too. I live in Phuket and don't have much of a chance to try blades SBS, but I'm planning on going up to one of the larger driving ranges in BKK next time I pass through there and try some stuff. Never hit Yururis, AF tours or Miura blades. And the Yonex MBs seem really difficult to even get to SEE let alone hit. But they do look really really good..Maybe the best looking of the bunch. The Baby Blades seem like a step too far somehow, even though I've never seen them in person, this because I've held a Miura TM and thought they looked pretty compact..So can't fathom how a baby blade looks! I actually held a Wilson FG59 that looked pretty small to me, the 3-iron looked almost unhitable, terrifying..And the Baby Blades are much smaller than those again? Hmm..Actually had a look at the Baby blades on sale here at the BST but feel a bit unsure. I've been looking at getting a mixed set too, but the Baby blades come as a full set only, whereas Yururis can be bought 5-PW, same for RC forged and the Yonex Mbs. So, flying a bit blind for sure. Plus I will need to get them lie adjusted, since I need a bit of upright. This is something I have to fix myself at the clubmaker here in Phuket, when I fit the heads to my SP Blues that I really love. So sets that come in head only are better for me too.

geotechgolf.com
I went to the Geotech website while just surfing around the net, and checked out some of their driver heads. First on the list came various Geotech heads which of course is expected, but further down they listed and sold Crazy, Masda, and even Snake Eyes? isn't this a bit weird? Are they affiliated with these companies? It's like going to TMs website and watch Callaway clubs otherwise. Strange.

Need help to pick a shaft for Crazy 435 II
Well, I have the LY-02 in x flex(8.2) in a tourstage 703, but i had that shaft in a deep faced very low spin/launch Vega DAF head before and its very stable and high launch. It came out at 279 cpm and weighs under 60 gram, so that's a great recipe for a distance shaft. Usually light means soft, but that will probably not be the case with the LY 01 HOT , that shaft will play stiffer than most and at the same time be lighter than most, something that is actually pretty rare if you ask me. I'm guessing here, but the RD is probably at least a flex softer than the LY 01 HOT in the same "flex". And maybe more tip active, suitable for somebody with a smoother swing style? And the LY 01 HOT is more of a harder swinger/hitters shaft? Tario will know for sure.

Need help to pick a shaft for Crazy 435 II
Well, the LY series is very light weight and still stiff enough. Since you wrote you want a light shaft (60 gr) and swing pretty hard the Black LY 01 HOT Black seems like a perfect fit at exactly 60 grams in 7.4 or 7.7 flex. It's also described as high launch with the focus on pure carry which sounds exactly like what you need in a shaft. The 435 II is the lowest of all heads from what I understand, so a light, high launch shaft like the HOT seems like a perfect fit. EDIT: Sorry, I wrote this for armitage.

Royal Collection RC Forged
I've been thinking about getting blades, at least for 5-PW and then something more forgiving in the 3 and 4 irons. The RC Forged look really good, but I haven't seen any comments on it, seems very few people have tried these blades? Any input would be appreciated. And comparisons with other blades like Miura Baby blade and TB, Epon AF tours and Yonex MB would be superb.

Suggestions for a replacement driver head
Ha ha, I know that feeling very well. Straight holes are somehow more difficult to score on than doglegs. I can usually shape my tee shot if the hole turns, but when they are dead straight I find it hard to aim somewhere. usually i hook it badly on straight, longish holes. How is the impact feel with the 450 with the black 50? Sound?

Suggestions for a replacement driver head
I just remember from the back of my head about reading from Supo that the CRZ450 wasn't easy to hit, but I for sure seem to remember it wrongly. Maybe because he wrote that it's not easy to launch high? And then I mixed up and scrambled the info in my head and it came out as "not so easy to hit", sorry about that. I like the look of the crz450 at adress for sure, and it's often described as the lowest spin of all low spin heads, so you might even have to go with a 10 degree, but that probably bring some extra directional forgivness? So, extremely low spin head,+ add some loft for usability/friendliness and there you go. Supo, I think I even remember you writing that the 450 might suit a bit less stout, less high kicking shaft because of theheads low spinning nature? Or maybe I remember that wrongly again..

Suggestions for a replacement driver head
If you want to stick with the same driver shaft you use now, which is pretty soft and light, then something like the 435II in 9.5 will help you get the ball fligght and spin down, and you will get some roll. The Ryoma is from what I understand a high launch ultra forgiving head, same goes for crazy 460. These 2 heads would seem to less suitable if you want a lower flight? I'd say thet the epon 101 is maybe lower (correct me if I'm wrong) launch and maybe even lower spin than the ryoma or CRZ460, so these 2 heads would seem (to me) to make your problem worse and not better..Unless you find a ryoma or a CRZ460 with something like 7 degrees of loft which you can't get. According to Stu, probably the most experienced and knowledgeable member here, the crz450 is the lowest of the low spin heads even though, according to him, it's not super forgiving. That head might be bit too much even for somebody like you, so the 435 or 435II seems to be it, in a low loft. The 445HG might also do the trick, it's a bit bigger than the 435 heads, but similar otherwise. You need a low loft, low spin head. I think so at least, unless you want to start messing with shafts..Which brings in a host of other things to think about.

Suggestions for a replacement driver head
7 iron 172 yards and driver 240? You are for sure not getting everything out of your driver then. Ive learned that the Jbeam/Crazy 435II launch really low, like Tario wrote. But if you use an R flex shaft and usually get zero roll, I'd would say go for the lowest launch head like the 435II and get in 9.5, since you have a really soft shaft that will launch the ball almost regardless of which head you put it in.
