  3. I've owned the AF-301, SUS-316 and AF-505 (just 4 & 5) in the past and I liked the SUS-316 the best. Compact cavity back with great feel off the face. Shape wise, I actually did not love Epon's head shape.
  4. That is a really good price!!!
  5. Thank you Taki!! Good luck with your sale!
  6. Last reminder. Please add your name on a piece of paper. If not I will have to take it down.
  7. hey.. just a reminder, you need to include a hand written name / date on a piece of paper in your picture as proof that you have those clubs in posession. thanks!!
  8. Really happy with the SCs. Best irons for me ever!! Though I would not classify them as GI irons in a normal sense, they sure did improve my game!! As for putting, I do think I have something going with my Evnroll ER2 with the Gravity grip. Only issue now is that the greens are super slow and the Evnroll face is not a hot face, meaning I need to give it an unnatural wack to get the ball to the hole. Once the greens dry up a bit, I think the ball will reach the hole more naturally. BTW, I also found out that the 62 is an all time tie for 1st in all of US and tied for 5th globally for this course!! I love this Top Tracer app thing. !!
  9. This was my range session on Friday .... playing The London Golf Club Heritage Course from the Gold Tees... on Top Tracer! My previous low was a 8 under at Pebble Beach. With Top Tracer, as some of you know, the last shot into the hole is a targeted wedge shot. So I "guess" this means that my putting just sucks since that is the main difference with the simulator and real golf?!!
  10. There are online calculators to approximate the swing weight if you don’t have a swing scale. Over time, you will start to get a sense of what swing weight works / feels best for you. D2 has been considered the normal swing weight for a long time but these days D3 to D5 seem to be the norm especially with USDM drivers. If you are stronger physically, you would likely end up best fit to a heavier swing weight like D5 but it varies from person to person on what the preference is and what works best.
  11. Very nice review!! If you are not feeling much of the head, I suggest getting additional heavier weight screws to increase the swing weight. Having tried the HZRDUS smoke green myself, those 6.0 flex models especially in 70g are more or less extra stiff territory in my opinion. Have fun tweaking further!!
  12. PRGR website has all the info. loft is slightly strong at 44.5 deg PW. I do see a bit of offset from the pictures. semi blade like looks on the back face. Not my favorite shape. I would pick the CGS Orion CB or MB over these.
  13. I play Pebble Beach once or twice a week .... on Top Tracer that is 🙂 Haha Best score from the Blue tees is 6 under!! Doubt that I'd even come close to that in real life.
  14. I just learned that the new PRGR 00 irons are made by Miura Giken!! Holy Smokes!!
  15. 5 X is quite friendly in my opinion. Plus I get a bit more speed. 🙂 at 53 yrs old, I need all the help I can get!
  16. You are probably right. The PX LZs are great shafts. They just don't have the tight tolerances as Nippons. This is noticeable when building the set. When you have heads as precisely made as Sevens, I'd prefer to have shafts that are high quality as well. Thats all.
  17. Don't mean to Hijack your BST post but similarly I've stopped limiting myself from JDM vs USDM. There is no right or wrong. Just stuff that works for you or not. What's good is good. Ultimately golf is about how enjoyment. and how you feel the enjoyment from golf can differ with each person. For me scoring low is how I feel the most enjoyment. The clubs that can likely contribute the most to my long term objective of becoming a scratch player is what I want to play. Recently shopped around and tried a few 5 wood and hybrid both JDM and USDM ..... well, SIM Ti 5 wood and SIM Max Hybrid took those spots. Previously I would not have even considered TM clubs. I decided not to restrict myself like that. I just installed a Ventus Black Velocore in the 5W and have had a Ventus HB Blue Velocore in the Hybrid.... Driver is still a G410 LST with ATMOS TS Black which works well but I placed an order for a custom colored SIM2 (All Black!! ) driver and I will likely get a Ventus Black (JDM only 5X flex) in the driver. Ventus Velocore are amazing shafts!! It seems like I hit closer to the middle of the face with these shafts so much more than with other shafts. And I've tried tons of shafts in the past including high end JDM like Seven Dreamers. There is something different about Ventus Velocore shafts.
  18. Nice on-the-course review Hutchy!! Great to hear about the nice feel you were getting withe the 115 shafts. I am really hoping that Nippon will soon make these shafts available as part of their regular offerings. For now, my SCs with Project X LZ 5.5 are working really well so I am not in a hurry to reshaft ... but I am considering putting these 115s in my Seven SCs once the normal versions become available. As for the added distance you were getting with the MC+115s I am not surprised since I've heard this claim from other MC owners before. I think this is what happens when you have a well designed iron head with optimized CG, and the Modus 115s must match your swing much better than the STPs.
  19. For a nice set of PRGRs I would recommend TR500, IDBL or Nabla Tours. These three are one piece forged carbon steel. They look and play phenomenal!! When you go newer than that, they are mostly multi-material (stainless steel face with carbon steel body ). even though they are stamped as “forged”

Yes I had one. Sound was very loud. End of story.... vt511 was very good. Super soft feel at impact. if you are going with Baldo drivers, the more recent models are so much more refined.
  21. Oh my mistake I thought you were asking about the 601 611 are cast stainless steel.
  22. I believe Miura made those. classic set of irons! Only issue with those older model JDM irons are they have these awkward offsets as you go to the short irons .
  23. She’s a beauty !!! Let us know how the new Modus plays!!
  24. I appreciate that. For the other folks who might be new, I think it is necessary.
