  1. Not a JDM brand here but after a 5 week wait to get an all black finish done on my new Evnroll mallet, I finally got this custom ER5v built this week. ER5v 35" shafted with Stability Tour Black shaft and a Gravity Grip. I've not taken it out to an actual putting surface yet but on carpet, and its probably a honeymoon effect to some degree, nevertheless I seem to be starting the ball on the intended line more consistently than other putters I have. The black finish is an armor coat offered by Labworx who does the OEM work for Evnroll's black out series. I had them do a black paint fill for a completely murdered out effect. Together with the trick Stability Black shaft, it looks pretty exquisite. Only thing is that the Gravity Grip does not come in an all black color. I'm gonna take her out to a course this afternoon to see if this is the putter I want to use for a tournament this weekend.
  2. Prior to the two TMs I play now, I had a Romaro Type R Ti hybrid which was really forgiving. I also used a Modart MA01H which you might like better because it looks more compact and may be an easier transition from a DI. Although the offset it has may throw you off a bit since it looks like you would hook it a lot, but in fact it plays pretty neutral. Feel wise Modart wins by quite a bit.

I have not had the chance to try the 02 Evo... but spec wise the 80 Limited has a tiny bit less torque and is a higher kick shaft (lower launch) and material difference. original retail $220 vs $380 per shaft due to material difference.

  12. I've owned the AF-301, SUS-316 and AF-505 (just 4 & 5) in the past and I liked the SUS-316 the best. Compact cavity back with great feel off the face. Shape wise, I actually did not love Epon's head shape.
  13. That is a really good price!!!
  14. Thank you Taki!! Good luck with your sale!
  15. Last reminder. Please add your name on a piece of paper. If not I will have to take it down.
  16. hey.. just a reminder, you need to include a hand written name / date on a piece of paper in your picture as proof that you have those clubs in posession. thanks!!
  17. Really happy with the SCs. Best irons for me ever!! Though I would not classify them as GI irons in a normal sense, they sure did improve my game!! As for putting, I do think I have something going with my Evnroll ER2 with the Gravity grip. Only issue now is that the greens are super slow and the Evnroll face is not a hot face, meaning I need to give it an unnatural wack to get the ball to the hole. Once the greens dry up a bit, I think the ball will reach the hole more naturally. BTW, I also found out that the 62 is an all time tie for 1st in all of US and tied for 5th globally for this course!! I love this Top Tracer app thing. !!
  18. This was my range session on Friday .... playing The London Golf Club Heritage Course from the Gold Tees... on Top Tracer! My previous low was a 8 under at Pebble Beach. With Top Tracer, as some of you know, the last shot into the hole is a targeted wedge shot. So I "guess" this means that my putting just sucks since that is the main difference with the simulator and real golf?!!
  19. There are online calculators to approximate the swing weight if you donโ€™t have a swing scale. Over time, you will start to get a sense of what swing weight works / feels best for you. D2 has been considered the normal swing weight for a long time but these days D3 to D5 seem to be the norm especially with USDM drivers. If you are stronger physically, you would likely end up best fit to a heavier swing weight like D5 but it varies from person to person on what the preference is and what works best.
  20. Very nice review!! If you are not feeling much of the head, I suggest getting additional heavier weight screws to increase the swing weight. Having tried the HZRDUS smoke green myself, those 6.0 flex models especially in 70g are more or less extra stiff territory in my opinion. Have fun tweaking further!!
  21. PRGR website has all the info. loft is slightly strong at 44.5 deg PW. I do see a bit of offset from the pictures. semi blade like looks on the back face. Not my favorite shape. I would pick the CGS Orion CB or MB over these.
  22. I play Pebble Beach once or twice a week .... on Top Tracer that is ๐Ÿ™‚ Haha Best score from the Blue tees is 6 under!! Doubt that I'd even come close to that in real life.
  23. I just learned that the new PRGR 00 irons are made by Miura Giken!! Holy Smokes!!
  24. 5 X is quite friendly in my opinion. Plus I get a bit more speed. ๐Ÿ™‚ at 53 yrs old, I need all the help I can get!
