  1. i wanted to try this but only offering one loft seems odd. how can a company offer a 3w and not at the very least a matching 5w???

nothing wrong with non-conforming...they're legal for us mortals until 2024!

rll33, i know you've been looking for a jdm 64* for a while. have you considered bending an ultra low bounce 61* like the yururi raw gekku to 64*? there should be no problem bending it 3* since there's no chrome/finish to crack and the ending bounce will still only be 8*...which is perfect in my book!
  4. ok, my fw project isn't moving along as quickly as i wanted...so i might be willing to let mine go in trade if you haven't found one yet. i'm looking for something of the same quality and performance, 65g range, stiff flex, that will have a finished length in a 435 of at least 45.5" or longer.
  5. got another project going on so will consider a trade for a high end stiff driver shaft that plays to a minimum of 45" or longer. preferably new or one time pull, untipped.
  6. more penetrating flight...is that possible???
  7. i say i can't wait! i still don't think anything can touch the 435 for overall distance...and out of those 3, maybe even forgiveness!
  8. --SOLD-- this is the most solid and easy 5w i've played so far but it's a bit too draw biased for me. i bought another shaft for it but the dj-6 works so well for a player that fights the right side that i just don't want to pull it. square face and measures 43" in length. $400 $375 $350 net to me shipped conus, international and i'll split shipping. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4173
  9. i'm not trying to get into flame war either and if he had said his numbers came from one of the big box stores or he wasn't (at one point) a high level athlete i'd probably be quietly siding with you. no hard feelings.
  10. i do agree about the mechanics...but on the flip side i've seen (and used) some swings that any "real golfer" would say can't generate enough power, kill the ball. add size and athletic ability to the mix and good mechanics or not, things happen.
  11. you missed the point, i would go to wrx if i wanted to read the "you can't hit that far crowd". that's reason many of us don't spend the time on wrx that we do here. opinions are one thing but trying to imply someone isn't being honest about his personal stats that having nothing to do with you seems out of character here. that's my opinion...am i entitled to it?
  12. i'm not very happy about this. an april OR LATER ship date seems like something tsg would (or at least should) have known about...and therefor your loyal customers should not have been led to believe march 17th and invoiced for payment on march 15th.
  13. geez guys...i'll visit wrx main forums if i want to hear all the class clowns tell someone it's impossible to hit a ball x far unless they're a pro.
  14. don't let spoon see these!
  15. lol, i have the shaft...i just don't have the head to put it in yet.

i hear you on the 435 stew...i just bought a second one to mess with!!!

this was the battle i was waiting for. nice write up stew, thanks again!
  18. i always have to recommend the kamui works ray. if i wasn't gearing up for tournament golf i'd still be gaming my hi-cor version!

i don't know much about the boron line but the lowest spinning head known to mankind paired with a low spin shaft may not work well for a few people...
  20. i've tried all my drivers at least once and it was quite a surprise to find the ryoma to be this easy. i haven't hit driver off the deck with this kind of ease since the days of the 250cc heads! i wouldn't be surprised if it has to do with it's unique weighting system.
  21. i agree, on average i'd say the ryoma is 10-12yds shorter than the 435. as far as off the deck, most of the time i can hit a wood off the deck better than i can a 6 iron...the longer the wood, the easier! that may sound good but i'm not proud of that fact. :-/
