  1. W-O-W I've been playing a longer driver length lately at 46.25", which took a little adjusting but I'm really liking it. was it a big adjustment to go to something this long, mikey, or are you used to playing something over 47"? Did that much higher SW somehow not seem as much because of the way this shaft was designed and custom built for you? I'm tempted to try something even longer on my next build but would love to hear your feedback on how you adjusted or if it was a seemless transition because of the custom specs.
  2. Just added some more info to about the head weights, 6i length and the shaft length increments. Here's a pic of the 6i length, just shy of 38"
  3. vega, I'll measure the 6i since it's built this afternoon, and let you know the length increments on the loose shafts (w/ the grips on).
  4. any feedback on the sound and feel as that seems to be the only thing people would like to see improvements in with eggs?
  5. thanks gents! in answer to the above question, would be willing to do heads only or shafts only, please pm me if you're interested, thx.
  6. damn, these look good! I bet you're soooo tempted to hit them, but stay strong bud!! someone is going to get an awesome set ;)
  7. do egg ut's benefit from shaft changes or do most guys play what's stock because prgr does innovative things with their setups to maximize the head design? my impression is a lot of people play the driver and woods with stock setups where they have shaft upgrades in their other fw's/drivers. am I way off base?
  8. thanks guys, these heads are classic and this setup is definitely something special. stew, you're right, I'm sure I will regret this at some point but just too many projects going on right now. my inability to focus is another TSG'ers opportunity ;)
  9. Titles says it all - MR23 CB COPPERS | Monaco in X | Gold Carbon Weave Ferrules | Red Perfect Pro Cords Started a post about these a few months back, and only made it to testing the 6i before massive ho'ing activity derailed this project. Remember these? These are just too gorgeous to not get built and played, so here's the chance for another TSG copper nut to have a sweet build! In fact, if the buyer likes, I will build them for you, but I've left them as separate components so there is more options come build time :) • 3-PW MR 23CB Copper heads • 3-PW Monaco in X flex shafts (3i shaft is currently raw with no grip and is not pictured) • aside from the 6i which has some slight wear from some range time, these are minty (6i was just wiped down with Bar Keepers Friend before the most recent pics, so it has that magenta-ish hue but rest assured it will patina again and get the darker more traditional copper hue in no time) • red Perfect Pro cords are in excellent condition • will include 8 gold carbon weave ferrules (as seen in the pic with the black background) - 6i length = just shy of 38" - shaft length in 0.5" increments head weights are as follows: 3i - 234g 4i - 235g 5i - 245g 6i* - built w/ shaft so did not measure 7i - 261g 8i - 268g 9i - 275g PW - 284g Not much else to say and will let the pics do the rest of the talking, but please let me know if there are additional questions. Asking: $800 shipped in ConUS (Alsaka, Hawaii and Int'l please PM for shipping quote) for entire package.
  10. sweet review, the 358 and tataki 60s @ 45.75" seems like the perfect build for me. so, there's no way to get a tataki shaft only??

    By the Beard of Zeus...
  12. bar keepers friend with water, then wd40/clove oil/choji oil
  13. what's the lengths of the modus 125? pic looks like s flex but just wanted to confirm, thx
  14. excellent review, was wondering about these and you addressed all the points in question, thanks for posting this!
  15. I'm sick of waiting on builder's schedule which always backs up right when I need something done. plus, it's pretty fun learning how to do it yourself ;)
  16. don't forget to wear a thick glove when u yank, it will be scorching hot ;)
  17. yes, I concur the Masda slicks are soft, but a firm soft if that makes any sense. they're not squishy which the no1's are IMO, but they definitely have a nice non-abrasive softness to them. just depends on what you're really looking for I guess
  18. can't endorse the most underrated set around enough...+3 on the idbl's, and I think these heads could be good with just about any shaft. mikey/stew, on the same page with the coppering of these classics, the wheels may or may not already be in motion ;)
  19. yup, No1 is the softest/tackiest I've ever tried, but if you don't have feather soft grip pressure, they're gonna go quick at your usual wear points.

This is great, looks like you had a blast and I'm sure the collective gear share was awesome. thanks for sharing!
  21. ash, those look outstanding!! may just have to follow suit after mine get beat up some ;) were they in perfect condition or well used before going? they look really smooth so wondering if they had to do a lot of clean up on them up. congrats man!
  22. still looking for a set?? I've got 5-PW in like new condition. pulled immediately from kuros, let me know. thanks. D

LOL I was holding off as long as I could, and now I've folded like a cheap metal chair ;)
