I'm actually very happy with the Miura PW and find the Miura wedges although not as soft but better than the Epons. Not so for the irons though so far. Do you know if its possible to order singles?

Hi robb, Good to hear th at the Black is bettre for you. I'm still waiting for mine to come in to try with thr V-Spec Ryoma. Should you move away from the Crazy? I don;t know but if you are hoping that it will give you 20 yards more consistently with the RD or any shaft, I don;t know... if we believed every claim of more distance by ball, shaft and head manufacturers, we'd all be driving 700 yards by now LOL. But of the Crazy combo gives you more confidence with each drive no matter how narrow the FWis and gives you a consistent increase in fairways hit while maintaining your previous distance consistently, I say stay with it. If not, I think you have sunk quite a bit already. Just my 2 cents...

It does make sense for a butt soft shaft but it's interesting that 1 inch or so will make so much difference at the butt end.

You should fire your clob fitter. Seriously. Especially he he varies from your specs he should tell you and tell you why. That said, being a club fitting hobbyisyt and when I was playing regularly, experiemented with every conceivable new driver shaft, I could almost always tell just from addressing the club if the driver was significantly over or under the 44.75 I am used to. Butt trim the finished length grip on to 45.5 and choke down first. If you find it still a tad high and little roll, then tip it 0.5 inch and you will have your 45 inch length. Thsi does first to cave yourself a possible shaft extention. Again, if the ball flight is stil way too high, tipping it won;t help too much, some but not to much. It will help some with roll. I just tipped my DI5 half inch., ball flight is similar, "feels" a bit former and rool is slightly more... on the course, not some LM.

If yours was a softer flex, I'd probably give it a go jsut to see what the Crazy hype is about.

Hi Robb, I could be alone on this but the Crazy 460 (I have not tried it) seems to be described by most as a carry bomber and is inherently a high launching head by design. If you are looking for a lower launch, I think shaft and ball can bring it down some but if the head is designed to be high launching, there is only so much shaft and ball can do and you may at the end of the day need to find a head that is deisgned for a lower lauch to begin with? Again, the above comment although is from my experience with quite a few heads in the past and as a hardish core amateur hobby fitter, is just my opinion which of course could be left field off.

I just picked up a Kusala Black 61 in regular felx to try in the Ryoma V-Spec 9.5. Hope to have them mated by next week.

Pls post feedback and if you can let us know your previous shaft and give a trajectory, spin, roll out and feel in terms of whether you can feel it kicking or more one piece will be good.

This is a great thread and what ECA and you are mentioning is what's on mind mind. I'm sure Crazy is good from what I am reading but is it $500 better and will it suit me and the Ryoma V-Spec head I have coming in. I'm thinking of still sticking to the DI which is tried and tested and tour proven. That said, the Miyazaki Black is calling out as well and teh Miyazakis I guess are also tour proven and although I sure ain;t a trou calibre player, it is some assurance in the unkown?

Although the Black as a low launch low spinner is what I am looking for, when I read its for aggressive hitters.. that opposite of my swinger profile. But the Indigo seems to me more of a one piece when you can't feel the kick? this owul dbe opposite ot the DI where I have grown accustom to and like the feel of the kick.

Hi All, I just picked up a Ryoma VSpec 9.5 from Ian. I will be putting in the sam GD DI5 shaft that;s in my AF101 and hope it works out. Thanks all for the very good input. Much appreciated. Will give a comparo of the Ryoma and AF 101 after a few roundsa and range sessions.
