excellent advice. the only thing I find with 'demos' is that they give you a 7 iron. we'll all hit any 7 iron very well, i'm more interested in hitting the 4 & 6 irons to see if i'm comfortable with them and then check the 8 iron to make sure its the flight i like to see in a short iron.

I was talking to my club guy about iron shafts and he said that with the modus3, the way they are designed that (assuming appropriate flex for the user) a stock 75-80% swing produces a nice flighted trajectory with spin and a full clip produces a lower trajectory with lower spin, the opposite of what would normally be the case. anyone got any feedback on this?

Stew, As per our discussions orf lyne, SP blue or TT Monaco for AF Tour? I'm trying both plus Modus3. I'm perfectly happy, well nearly, with the current KBS Tour. I could stand to hit with less spin if I was to be critical.

I was having this same convo. wasn't THAT long ago that everyone had the 757 in the driver. interestingly I pulled my old TM tour issue woods out the other day that are Fuji shafted with ZCOMM MW74X, ZCOMM PRO80X in driver and fairway respectively. They felt heavy, they felt 'not tight' they did feel smooth. When the ball hissed off the bat and carried my usual mark i did wonder why i had spent so many thousands since then......
