Do you mean next to each other for comparison? (Otherwise, pics are already here on the site.)

Another Set of Custom CB-1008 Irons!
Go for it! Don't let me discourage you if you feel the burn for these. I hesitate to post reactions like this one sometimes, as I know feel is so subjective. I see you show Epon as your brand of choice while I don't always get along with those either. Go figure... A-Grind (tiny) blades just have me dialed in at the moment. And I'll def be hitting the Miuras some more to be sure...

what are you wearing...on your wrist?!

what are you wearing...on your wrist?!
RLL33 replied to chiromikey's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearLove all these watches, guys. Been meaning to post some snaps from my collection, too, but lately I can't get this thing off my wrist. It's the Garmin S20, and it does a lot of what the Apple watch does (texts, emails, notifications, health measures, etc), but on the course it also does flawless GPS tracking, measures and automatically records shots and what club you used, keeps score, gives you layups, lets you move the pin on green graphics, stores your stats online and gives you averages and trends, etc, and if you want to pop for another device, it'll do swing monitoring with stats, graphics, and other Track(boy) type measurements when you're on the range. Oh, and it'll also tell you if you slept well, although I don't need a watch to tell me which way that wind blows (yet...). Just sayin'...

YORO DREAM
I only put initials on something I'd want to keep no matter what, even if just to look at and hold in hand in the office, and these qualify for sure, although given my initials, I once sold a set to someone who favored Ralph Lauren stuff with RLL on it... ;=] Anyway this wasn't a full set, just the 5 and 6-iron that I thought I might use with blade sets.

Another Set of Custom CB-1008 Irons!
Thanks, Ash, and Stew. I agree these babies are gorgeous, but as I said in another thread, on first hit, I was not thrilled. They feel bottom heavy to me. May be because I've been playing mostly blades, but they suffer in comparison to the Mizzy's for me as well. I don't know, but something about the sons' designs don't do that Miura-san thing for me in the way the older clubs still do. But damn, they're pretty to look at and hold in hand. ;=] I'll def be giving them some more time and trials.

I'd agree with Stew, the A-Grind CB's are the longest, most versatile CB's I've ever hit. The Mizzy MP55 beats them though in feel for me. Here's the MG CB-1008's I had made to compare with those. They're drop dead gorgeous, as I thought they would be, but the MP55 beats these, too, for me hands down in feel, trajectory, distance. These are Double Nickel with Copper underlay and special grind.

YORO DREAM
FWIW, after my first outings this week with the Miura CB-1008, the Mizzy MP55 still comes out on top, by far. Better distance and control for me, better more penetrating ball flight. The Miura feels bottom heavy, weighted toward the sole, which I suppose some would prefer to get the ball up higher in the air. But feel wise, I was a little disappointed. Still don't think the Miuras feel as good as when the Ol' Man was doing the making...

They're actually very compact for a CB. Narrow top line gives look and feel just between a large blade and a CB.

Basileus AAA 2016
I'd agree. I've had an interesting experience lately. I've been playing the 7D JBeam Black all year. And When I got the AGrind Proto, I picked up a AAA 2015 and put it in it. Feels good, very consistent, but the difference is noticeable. I've talked about this before, but the 7D adapts to what's working with my swing on any given day. The AAA I feel does what it does-- and well-- but I have to find a groove and hit it that way with each swing to feel like I'm getting the most from it. Equally interesting though was I also pulled out the 7D t388, which I hadn't hit in a while, and while it, too, is adaptive, I could really feel how that 7D was designed just for the 388 head. The design specifics are tangible. They max out your swing strengths, but also apply them to the specific head you assign to their project. Truly unique.

YORO DREAM
Soft/springy is a perfect way to describe it. The 5's are soft but scalpel like. But when I pull the 5-iron 55, I've hit some of easiest best long iron shots of my life, dead straight and way out there before I even look up to see the ball flying. For someone looking for a CB, I've said this before but the 55 is a find. It's going to be real interesting to me to compare it to the Miura 1008's (which are now somewhere over the Pacific on the way... ;=]

They do. They're wonderful. Feel is so good I prefer them to Epon's & Miura's I've played. And love the finish, just love it.

JDM equivalent to Steelfiber i95S or 110CW reg
You might give the metal composites a try. They're steel and carbon combined, way smoother than plain steel but with steel's tight dispersion. Fuji MCI's and Mitsubishi OTi's are both great for me. Lately favoring the OTi. Both way superior to the Steelfiber in feel and distance.

WTT/S: Epon AF 303 Recoil 110 f4 + Epon AF 903 20*
Looks like a fine set, but not "Mint / New." Also no ID card.

A-GRIND Y-PROTO
Definitely the 440 is more forgiving. In fact, for me, it's one the most forgiving drivers I've ever hit. Heel, toe, high, or low on the face -- it just goes straight. And I agree, I'd prefer the matte black look on the Y, too.

I'd pull it. Another time it'll jump.
