Japan Golf Fair 2016 - Mizuno Golf
As I've gotten to play the Yoro combo set you had built for me, Chris, I cannot overstate how good the MP55 feels at the long end of the iron set. THis club has a wonderfully soft feel that launches and goes and goes, but still can drop and stop in a green for a long approach. I said it's an amazing combo with the MP5, but I'd agree that anyone looking for a unique CB could grab these alone and be blissed out. PS. Thanks for the great coverage, as always, of the fair. Great pics of great looking stuff this year. (I like the shoes too...)

Agree there's something good going on here. (Also agree with you, nob, on the cut muscle at the toe.) Wedges do look cool.

A-Grind Y-PROTO Driver
That's the way I've always thought of it, Chris. So it makes me curious when I hear people jump at the idea of an open face. Seems to me it's a question of how early (or late) you are in releasing the head during your swing, and that fixing a problem there would be the approach to take. Nicklaus once said memorably that you cannot start to release your driver too soon in your down swing. And maybe it's the early release that the pro's are so good at because I know that a lot of them prefer an open face. All I know is this driver looks super to me. If it has the same soft thwack sound and feel that the 440 face gives off, but also gives the controlled feeling of the t.388, for me with my love of all things A-Grind, it sounds like this one might call out for another 7D.

A-Grind Y-PROTO Driver
So it's more a matter of the look at address, if I'm reading this right...? Does it help someone whose miss tends to be left? And would it cause even more of a push to someone whose miss tends toward the right?

Looks like another awesome club from Ako-san.! PS. For those of you who prefer an open head design, can you describe why? Thx.

RLL33 replied to nobmontana's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearSome good friends of mine rescued greyhounds that had been abandoned after their racing careers were finished, and to the last paw, every one of them made for the kindest, sweetest, best pets that every new family said they'd ever had. Not to mention how beautiful they all were.

EPON PERSONAL 2 iron set in TSG COPPER SATIN --- SOLD
I had a combo set of Yoro MP5 / MP55's made that I'd been dreaming about for a long time, and also had my A-Grind blades refinished in smoked copper. Between these two sets, I've found nirvana. So.........time to pass these gorgeosa P2's along to my TSG mates (unless I change my temporarily insane state of mind...) ;=]

Seven Dreamers Dreaming (Again) !
What remains true for me is that the 7D shaft seems adaptive and therefore retains the so-called "honeymoon" effect longer than any shaft I've used. It was hard for me to put my finger on it at the beginning, but it seemed to work differently with my different swing days, if that makes any sense. It seems to be able to take whatever asset my swing on any particular day is offering it and maximize THAT asset on THAT day. In that regard, it seems to stay new. I agree it also stays the smoothest of any shaft I've swung no matter what I throw at it. And as Robbie says, it seems to like to save its best stuff for the course, i.e. when it counts. <g> It's like a racehorse in that regard -- it seems to pick up on my game in the moment and do what it can for it then and there. I know it sounds like a lot for an inanimate object, but that's the way it feels. I've only let one friend swing it, but I don't worry about it otherwise, certainly not when the guys at my club clean up my bag after a round. (I trust them more than many of the guys I play with... <g> ) And last, true to my form of liking the looks of a dirty Porsche over a clean one, I don't obsess over its appearance. My guess is it's also tougher than any shaft I've bagged before. If I was going to swing a shaft on the moon, this is the one I'd stow on board for the trip.

Grandsita's RS-F is VERY Good!
I'll be using Type-S, nob-san. I've been using it very happily in my XV 3 and 5-woods, so expect the match to be good. Will let you know, but then, I tend to use lighter weight clubs than most throughout my bag.

Grandsita's RS-F is VERY Good!
Will be trying my 16 with a TRPX Redhot in the next week or so. Hitting it with my control shaft, I agree with M that it's a good solid feel, if a little metallic for my taste. Nice and long, the ball really jumps off the face.
