Epon SUS316 & Miura CB 1008 LTD comparos
Yup Maru's were a black dye. heads were super light. I had every set of Maru's. best feeling ones were after I changed it to satin finish.

RomaRo iBrid (MK1& MK2) and Ballista
If you look at the materials and construction of RomaRo driving irons they are tops. They use Driver and high-end UT tech in driving irons. Fourteen Hi877 and M version are also very good.

Now that you bring that up, I do not see them buying fresh molds to produce a combo set. It is possible but even big brands re-use molds and adjust them. Nothing wrong with that except it's a little deceptive. I wish brands would just keep updating older designs and only release new models when they use a new mold. It makes no sense to trick us by using the same mold 3-5 models running and adjust the aesthetics or tiny things that barely make a difference.

Srixon Z585 and Z785 drivers
I notice the Miyazaki aftermarket shafts have better feedback for stronger players. average or slow swingers tell us they feel boardy or too stiff. This is just me generalizing what customers say.

Best clubs for high capper, any brand
Easy choice. Yamaha UD+2 and PRGR Super Egg The 2 longest and most forgiving irons on the market JDM or USDM. Only consideration is it's look and size.

RomaRo iBrid (MK1& MK2) and Ballista
I love Chapter 2 iBrid and Ballista. Chapter 2 is lower imo. I played one of those for years. Nice soft feeling driving iron.

Who made these....
These are Kyoei or Oichi heads. They are not ground by golds factory only stamped and finished.

Srixon Z585 and Z785 drivers
Thx for this write up. My issue with Srixon is those Miyazaki shafts. I have not hit them but the reviews from the many we have sold are not well. Kind of like Honma vizard reviews.

Epon SUS316 & Miura CB 1008 LTD comparos
From an insider perspective, the cost difference is minimal and anyone can grind these. SUS cost more than FE in setup and per head. FE99 vs SUS vs S25C by design you can make any of them feel softer or harder by changing the sole width/design/loft/finish/shaft/grip While material matters it is not as much as we think. Consider what Mizuno does to feel and also what the older cast Honma's and Fourteen TB Proto blades felt like. Consider the raw grain yururi's or kk's and how they feel at impact as well and how no plating and a raw grain influences feel. Also, I found that heat treatment does almost nothing to S25C or FE99 but has a noticeable impact on SUS.

Yes, FP is identical but that doesn't sort the CG locations to be the same, heel to toe length, sole width, bounce, camber, topline thickness, and shape. Let's use Yoro as an example. They can match it all except for CG and shape and I still do not recommend that if given the choice. I really do not mind #3 and #4 irons, maybe even #5 is ok to slap 2 sets together but when we get into mid and short irons consistency is king. I know I don't want a high launching and straight flying #7 iron with a lower flight workable #8 iron when I can easily have consistency throughout my set, progressive offset, and a lower CG by design where it is needed. The player does not see it but as someone who designs and owns brands, I get to see the limitations and differences each mold has.

The wrong way to do combo sets is slap 2 different designs together that have 2 different molds, sizes, cg locations, topline thickness, FP, bounce etc.. etc.. We want consistency right? The proper way to do "combo's" would be to design clubs for that purpose. The reason why people want combos is that they think they need more forgiveness in the long/mid irons or smaller short irons or simply to be trendy. Bridgestone has combo's done right with the XBL's.

Yup Morita is the oldest. I was about to buy the name on the cheap maybe 5+ years ago and decided not to.

Ryoma’s New Irons
It is him! And it costs massive amounts. More thank it cost the brand to put 10,000 Ryoma drivers on consignment in Japanese department stores!

DA faq is going on here!!!
I appreciate those words but I am just looking for a way to have less to do. More work is not the answer ? Forums are becoming a thing of the past since the creation of social and do not drive our sales either. I am happy if the B/S/T is a place of an honest transaction and there is no Russian spam or shady activity. How about making 2 categories? BST and Japanese Golf Clubs. merge the rest into the JGC section, I get someone to Mod and I start posting cool shit once in a while. let me know guys. I have lots to share.

DA faq is going on here!!!
Sorry guys been off the forum. What would you guys like to see done? consolidated to fewer categories or disbanded or ??? let me know. Unfortunately, it has become a burden to me more than anything else. If anyone wants to moderate let me know as well!

PRGR 2018
I don't think much is forged by Endo anymore. Even if it is S20C.

Seven ST
ST is conforming grooves. They are CNC'd as well as the very fine milling marks. It is about the same size as SDJ Proto / Crazy Toyoshima's
