Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
lol. i actually avoided the 75 because of the reinforced tip. i very much prefer to feel the head load and unload with as much action as possible. it's against the current ideology but to help this i typically bump up the head weight to 205g with an overall swing weight at e0 or more!

i wasn't pretending my shaft selection would have any relevance in this particular thread...i'm just interested in another opinion.

any info: george spirits gt-mb irons
that's interesting. i wouldn't think toe hits would draw on an iron like they do woods due to the lack of buldge/roll and no gear effect...but i've never tried it.

if there was some real world feedback on these i'd probably already have them ordered!

i totally agree. however, my typical impact is on the heel side of center (which is the sweetspot for traditional blades) and my miss is even more towards the hosel. my swing also favors a pull/draw so these are really appealing to me and my game. the design is so visually (dare i say) obnoxious that i really like it!

i was first drawn to the wedges but now i'm drawn to the whole set. is there any info at all on these, or more importantly, has anyone spent any time hitting them?

chiromikey replied to Craig's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Geari'm using a royal deco in my 9.5 v-spec and i think the "it's not short, it's just not long" statement doesn't do the ryoma justice. it's a lower trajectory than any other driver i own but it's also consistently as long or longer than anything excepting the 435. i wouldn't necessarily say it's the most forgiving but rather the most accurate...which is why it finds so many fairways. however, where this driver shines above any other is it's vertical gear effect. if you can get ball contact on a tiny spot a tad high and toward the toe, it will out distance anything in your collection, including the 435!!! until i realized what was going on, there were occasions were i would walk off the tee saying, "damnit, i just missed that one"...only to find my ball 360yds down the fairway! no joke, that was not a typo...360yds gps measured!!! now when i get that "just missed it feedback" i just keep my mouth shut and giggle to myself waiting for that wtf look from my playing partners. i wish i was good enough to do that more often!

The Honeymoon is Over!!! Reviewing the Jbeam 435
i can't say the quadra will give you any distance worthy of spending the dough...i just found it had a bit workability over the crazy.

no reason to change out that shaft...it's a killer!

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
i don't really notice any offset in my 60...

Jbeam 435 weights are loose! Advice on rubber ring install
just take the o-rings down to your local hardware store and match them up with new ones. that should keep the screws tight.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
never thought about that...but you're right. good or bad, i do like the bolds...

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
the balance is definitely different. whether it's the swingweight, headweight, or shaftweight...i'm not sure as i haven't tried a different shaft yet. what i do know is that the head reacts differently than traditional heavy sole weighted wedges. because of that, i probably wouldn't recommend these to sub par ball strikers or players that might decel through impact. with so much weight moved from the sole to the top line and toe, the head can become a bit unstable on even slight toe mis-hits or shots where the player isn't strong through impact. to play these i think there's going to be learning curve involved.

A Generational Clash and a Couple of Reminders : Long
ah...lol...so you're saying it seems stew wants you to believe the club has been victim of grave circumstances and you won't be getting it back. in all my interactions with stew, he seems pretty honest so if he says it shattered from sub zero temps in the cargo hold then was accidentally buried in a lava field...well i just have to believe him!!!
