  1. Some good input here. How forgiving are these wedges? My chipping and pitching in need of a little TLC
  2. the cool thing about the putter is that it has 3 variable weights that are quick and easy to pop in and out and range from 7-21g, so putter ranges from 314 to 384 grams. For example, I was on the practice green on Sunday, realized the greens were wicked quick, so in about 30 secs popped out lighter weight and went for 21 grams. Did not have to change my putting stroke while thinking about speed of greens. Worked like a charm

  4. Ha! I'm going the other way...I keep going longer, but went up one degree in head. Perfect combination of forgiveness and distance for me.
  5. Putter feel is certainly different from my Miura 350, but not in a bad way. Played two rounds with the putter this weekend and day one was meh, day two much better...just like any other gear I have it usually takes 2-3 weeks for me to decide its working for me or otherwise and thusfar I'm liking what I'm seeing. Also digging the interchangeable weight set which had me switching out the weights to heavier based on the fact that the greens were lightening fast. Also liking the pixls on the face of the putter which gives it a bit softer without being mushy feel. In the end, I went for a cleaner look vs something a bit busy or goofy on the face.
  6. Got my Edel last night. Too late to take it to the practice green so test drove it on my fitters astro turf putting green. Hit an amazing 10 out of 10 putts from about 8-10 feet. Hopefully will translate to the course and assumes I can read greens, but I was amazed at the accuracy.
  7. Wishing the fariway wood did not have that little "X" next to it!
  8. Ha! Im going the opposite way with a Mackenzie Bag. No stand, but a great bag in so many other ways. Old school!

They basically switch you in and out of a bunch of different heads to see which fits you best. Same for neck, loft, alignment aids, grip, weight, etc. I would never have picked out what the fitter fitted me for on my own, but when I saw the results I somehow forgot about aesthetics. As I've said before, I don't think Edel putters will ever win any design awards, but the tool really fits the job at hand. Sidebar: I also think the whole Scotty thing is a marketing scam. Like cabbage patch dolls for adults. I've tried just about everything Scotty makes and never feels right

Yup, Edel fitting process and putters. I'm not a huge fan of how the putters look, but the fitting process is way beyond SAM or anything else I've experienced to date. I consider myself a decent putter, but the process basically said "hey fool, you are WAAY off your aim point" and rather than saying you need to change your swing, stance, tempo, optics or anything else, they simply change your equipment to fit your unique putting style. I went from being 4" right with my putter to being dead on just about every time with the new Edel setup. Putter arrives this week from Dave Edel, so will put it into play and see how it rolls the rock. Going to be tough to beat my old putter out of the bag based on the fact that I felt like freakin Spencer Levin this weekend and dropped just about everything I looked at! Lost my member/member tournament, but putting not to blame.
  11. I just wish there was someplace in the US to demo the Yuyuris
  12. A response from the man himself, Tom Wishon, from another board on my question: the clubfitting factor that most typically affects how quick you are with your tempo is the swingweight before it would be the total weight (shaft weight is the most contributory element to total weight). if the golfer senses that he cannot feel the presence of the head weight enough, he has a tendency to get too quick, especially in the start of the downswing and even in the takeaway to start the swing. So if you sense that you keep telling yourself to slow down, add some more weight to the head using lead tape and keep doing that until you start to feel enough lag or headweight that you are not fighting the proper timing of the start of the downswing. TOM
  13. Nice find indeed....and don't let the folks on the other board, as they have, convince you that its worth $30! Jumbo in the old days used to have Professional Weapon stamped on his drivers which he bombed as well. He was a big kick out on the golf course. Also love the quote: "Jumbo aiming at professional activity with never-ending spirit". Reminds me of the tourspecgolf ads!

I would pay decent money for a putter if someone could give me more assurance that I would make X more putts, similar to being able to be shown on a Trakman that I'm gaining X more yards with my driver. Obviously not going to happen. The closest I've come to something like this is the putter fitting I did that clearly showed me how off my alignment with my current putter was and how they could correct that with a whole series of tweaks ala alignment aids on putter head, shape of head, neck, weighting of putter, grip, etc. Important to note that in the case of a custom putter fitting they do fix the arrow, not the Indian, meaning a few tweaks of my gear with the same stoke produces different/better results and I could see the proof of that. Now the real proof will be in the puddin when I take the putter out in the next couple weeks.
  15. SX prob too strong...need S
  16. Title says it all... Need 3 wood shaft and coming in at 75 grams, stiff.
  17. I definitely hit the ball hard, but 95 mph driver swing hard:) Will see how they play his weekend. The 3 wood has been behaving from the fairway with nice long bombs but def a tendency to go right when I tee it up on long par 3's of 210-220. Might be because I tend to aim and baby the ball more on par 3's. Haven't hit the 5 wood...that sucker is brand spanking new. Stu: did you get my PM??
  18. Ok, so I could not resist picking up two near perfect 3 and 5 epon 202's. Only kicker is they are both about 15 grams heavier than I'm used to gaming (75 grams vs 60). I normally hit stiff 60 Question: will I feel a great deal of difference in weight and not be able to turn the club over and start hitting everything to the right?? 5 wood shaft: quadra fire express 75s 3 wood shaft: Miyazaki kusala blue 72s Driver swing speed is 94 mph if that helps.
  19. Nice scorecard indeed...also love the yuyuri Blacks.
  20. Thanks...anyone selling one?
  21. Do you have any motore for 3 wood in stiff, 60g?
  22. Any other thoughts here...still hitting it right!!
  23. Thanks...looking for a stupid easy set of wedges considering the fact that my wedge play and chipping now in the toilet!
  24. I have the 151 and use the fubuki stiff. Shaft is dead straight and VERY smooth. If I miss a fairway someone in my 4 some makes some comment about oh, he's human!
